Really? Just how much can you do with hair?

[ hod and gebura didn't do anything for theirs... tiphereth had hers in a cute style, but that's about it. ]

A lot! Like, Himeko had hair accessories, but she also pulled part of her hair back and the back was a bun of sorts but it looked like a rose--

[ malkuth pauses her careful painting to look up at the photo with himeko in it, studying her and trying to imagine it; a rose in the back, with that beautiful red hair... it must've looked gorgeous. it's too bad gebura would never let her try it, but maybe if she poses it as keeping her hair out of the way... ]

Which totally suits her! Um, color wise anyway. You've mentioned them a lot, but what kind of people are they? Your friends.

Really good people! Our newest is pretty chaotic, but they've got a good heart. Mr. Yang is really reliable and super smart and it's always a relief when he comes along on Trailblazing Expeditions. He sort of acts like an old man at times, but I don't think he can help it. Himeko's also smart and graceful and great at things like negotiating... I keep thinking I should ask her to teach me so we don't get in as many fights. Oh, and Dan Heng's pretty quiet and serious and doesn't really like socializing, but he'd drop everything if he thought any of us were in danger.

Honestly, this is the longest I've been without all of us together...

[ malkuth listens as she meticulously paints her friend's nails, the slowness now from wanting to take in the details so dear to march; she blows them gently when she's done, letting that hand dry as she applies top coating to the first just the same. ]

... Me too, but with my layer. We all woke up pretty quickly one after the other in the Library, so we weren't away from each other for long... but it felt like forever to be the first. Makes you feel homesick, huh?

[ missing people more than anything. her chest aches, and she could solve it so, so easily herself

but she doesn't, seized at the thought. she'll move on! back to march! we don't deal with feelings like that here! ]

They sound like wonderful people, March. I could use a lesson in negotiating myself, actually! I feel like of the four of us, I'm the one who's most ready to throw hands when something happens.

[ She is not. She just hasn't officially figured out her role yet.

She hasn't forgotten Malkuth's request to keep an eye on two of her friends, while she kept a cautious distance, and she debates nudging her about it... but ultimately decides to hold off on it for now. ]

But I'll ask Himeko for some pointers if she ever shows up here and we can get even an even more amazing skillset!
