(Pulled closer, supported and held securely in his embrace, Tsurumaru goes still for just a second and relaxes. For all the burdens and all the grief he feels... like this, he knows he can't fall. He lets their fingers lace together.
He leans in and takes a moment to just breathe. Exhale, inhale, in, out, slowly... he smells sharp like a mix of dried and still fresh blood and it sets of a pang of something. Pain? Want? Hunger? He doesn't know yet. His grip on Aki's hand tightens and he bites down on his tongue again, frowning. Closing his eyes, he instead focuses on what he does know. The familiarity of his presence, of his scent, of his body against his, the sound of his voice.
What feels like agonizing moments is only just a few seconds and when he opens his eyes again, he seems more tired. Exhausted. But still, that unnatural edge is there. With his free hand, he reaches to touch Aki's face, wiping at some of the grime and dirt. )
You're fine. (Thumb rubbing at his cheek,) I'm glad.
(Really. And he smiles, relieved,)
Mhm... I'm red and white now but if I stay like this, it won't be as nice... You, too.
(Something about this makes him feel sick. He's never been squeamish or sensitive before but... when he thinks about it, is the scent of blood making him feel dizzy and on edge?)
