when it came to competitions, yuwon was more accustomed to it being the sort that revolved around actual combat rather feats of physical strength or endurance. not that he felt hew as particularly lacking in that, either. but considering the other contestants could have just as readily been "normal" by most considerations, it did feel a bit ...
well, regardless of what yuwon thinks, or how he frames it, it's true that he and elysium have somehow been casted under the same team. whether this means the challenges thus far had been relatively easy is anyone's guess. still, he's also doing his best to deliberately remain under the radar, not exactly thrilled at the prospect of casting the limelight on himself.
when they announce the next challenge, he casts a sideways glance towards elysium, as if to somehow blame him for his involvement. as if that wasn't clear enough: ] I should really stop associating with you.

But he really is so out of place being the most normal guy on set. Help him. With no cybernetic enhancements to speak of nor any inherent superhuman abilities that would give them any edge whatsoever in whatever ""quest"" they're about to be assigned, even he's looking mildly uncomfortable just thinking about it in the waiting lounge, put out that Yuwon's pinning the fault on him. He was just supposed to be the hype man?? Hello?? His muscles are (sipp voice) vanity muscles. It's rough out here.

he was just about to take another sip of the shakes they offer, before he feels the elbow at his side. the shake is now on his shirt and on the floor, but he does little more than give elysium a sidelong glance. then, he shoves the rest of the bottle against elysium's chest, as if he didn't want it anymore. ]
You're always there when things like this go down, so you're no different than being the source. [ he says, while now peeling open a protein bar. despite his complaints, it looks like he's accepting the food gracefully enough. ]

One can also imagine, that this exact scene will be used and played up for drama, later… it's true, how do they keep getting the most uncharitable cuts together? If Yuwon weren't so 💪 swole 💪 and Elysium so ✨ [ REDACTED ] ✨ for Ly's sanity, they'd never be seen on the telly again. ]

he's about to change into the new one, before he falls silent in consideration. it's a good question. if this were the tower, there would be no questions on if he wanted to secure this victory or not. the tower was always fair in compensation, after all. as for this show... ]

the funny thing might have been the fact that yuwon is thinking that exact same thing about elysium. not exactly in a desire to get the last word, but in that the man exuded his own sense of persistence. had he not, perhaps they wouldn't be here presently. but, no one would be able to get these words out of him, and even less, he has no desire to actually acknowledge them.
hence, it's easy for him to fall into position, listening to the challenge with the same apathetic mask he often dons. only partially snapping out of it when elysium asks him that last question. ] That depends on how much you want to struggle.
