With her hand still in his, it's light work to drag the ghost of his mouth to the tip of her fingers, nipping at it with the slightest bit of tongue before he drops her hand with a wink. For the right price, they can have just about anything at their disposal——sans privacy. For the most part, he functions just fine even addled with alcohol. But it's only natural to miss the smallest details—like her attempts to guise unnatural behavior. As so far her appearance at this specific juncture goes… He has his questions, pocketed for later when the mission wasn't at risk of being compromised.

[ it's hard not to be warmed by the play, pretend as it is, thanks to that procedure. malkuth bites her cheek and squeezes her hand tighter in his, caught hidden between them, as she walks along with him to the establishment with an airy tease. ]

[ What he really wants to say is that he can't handle her as she is and that she's better off going for whatever it was she initially came for, but he hopes the beatific smile speaks for itself, quiet down the rest of the alley and once they enter the building proper save for a greeting and quick exchange with the front desk. After of which, she'll receive a prompt for a fairly sizeable transaction; if she hesitates, he'll give her hand a gentle but firm squeeze.

Meaning. He'll pay her back. She might notice him subtly using his height to shield her from the majority of onlookers—or she might not.

But the stench in the air doesn't really improve, especially without the relief of being outdoors—smoke, alcohol, deodorant, and perfume all mingling into a stale, suffocating mix that clings to the air. It's enough to make someone choke. The smells relent somewhat the further down the hall they go, but they never truly disappear, as if they've latched onto their clothes themselves. Eventually, as they reach one of the rooms at the very back, its design radiating opulence—Malkuth will find herself lead into it, before being pinned against the door itself. ]

[ it should probably say something about her state that there's no hesitation at all in paying such a large sum -- she... knows these places are pricey, and elysium himself -- or whatever name he's playing under today -- must be wanted terribly for his looks and charm. but it's kind, the way he's seeking to protect her, even if she doesn't clock it right off.

can't say she isn't against this position they're in. even understanding that it's not what it should be, given elysium's act; it's not what it could be, given their own careful distance. the body wants what it wants, especially with the surgery still so recent, and her face flushes as she tries to be indifferent. in line with an elijah weiss who's been caught where she shouldn't. ]
