[ There’s no one to catch Silco as he falls, so the water embraces him, as is surely familiar. The drop is at least into deep water, but it’s cold and angry, especially in the face of an earthquake churning its depths. Even an adept swimmer would find it difficult, especially with the odd, thick nature of the water. It’s probably frighteningly familiar to Silco, and there must be a unique seize of terror that grasps around his heart.
—Or at least, that’s what Tezcatlipoca thinks he sees on Silco’s face once he surfaces to grab a gasp of air.
Whether Tezcatlipoca had just missed grabbing Silco or it was a purposeful choice not to isn’t clear… But Silco might be inclined to think the latter, since Tezcatlipoca stands on that outcropping, steady as can be even with the disorienting rumble that’s starting to fade. He doesn’t seem inclined to act at all, but he’d explained this to Silco, at least in part. He’s not a god that’s big on intervention… Not unless asked, at least. ]
