I was born at the end of the Golden Age of expansion, when we thought we should rule the whole stupid galaxy instead of minding our own business. I bought into it at the time, but the results were, uh. Fairly spectacular, in the end. [That's one way to describe four million years of war.] We've only had our home planet back for a little while, now. It was dead for a long time, which was also our doing.
