[ ...novels? Fiction... Ratio hardly reads fiction, although it isn't to say he reads none at all. There are some novels he's read as a part of his cultural studies when he was younger, and some he picks up in an effort to remain up to date, so he's quite familiar with all the classics. However, reading fiction here has never once crossed his mind, other than as a part of his research into mythology to study the kaiju.

I suppose that is one way to pass the time. There is no harm in digging deeper into the political, economic, and socio-cultural circumstances that have affected this planet at various points in its history.
