TEAM BUILDING EVENT #1

CONTENT WARNINGS: forced scenarios, violence & action scenarios, thalassophobia, mass death & injury from natural disaster.

▶ 001. GET ALONG PROMPT

LILITH is highly invested in the physical and mental well-being of its employees. A happy and connected workforce is a strong workforce, after all. However, SYNTHIA has picked up on many instances of discontent between Outsiders - people being blocked by each other on LINE, or teetering on the edge of having a fight (you know who you are and so does SYNTHIA, surprise!) That just won't do. Outsiders who cannot get along will fail miserably when it's time for teamwork. That is why this month's team-building exercise aims to spread positivity amongst the Outsiders. We all gotta get along in the middle of a crisis.

Whether you are looking someone in the face, texting them, or staring at their profile on the network, you receive a prompt from SYNTHIA, followed by an image (exactly as pictured, Shutterstock watermark and all):

"LILITH promotes a positive working environment. Why don't you pay this Outsider a compliment or do something nice for them? Or else :) Noncompliance will result in disciplinary action."

True enough, ignoring the prompt a total of 5 times will result in characters being transported to their rooms and put under house arrest - ahem, time out for a total of 2 days. It doesn't hurt to play along, right? As a note, the prompts become especially persistent when you're faced with someone you dislike. Should Outsiders try to leave their room during this time, they will find the automatic doors do not open the typical way (retina scan and thumb print.) They are trapped! Perhaps asking SYNTHIA for some mercy with positive compliments directed her way will do the trick (it won't, bu you can try!) Remember, Outsiders can speak to SYNTHIA anytime. She's everywhere all the time. Consider her your prettier Alexa. In fact, she might be flattered by that compliment.

▶ 002. TEAM ACTIVITIES.

You've had your fun back at the MAIN BASE. Now it's time to work. Outsiders will be sent back out towards Tokyo Bay while LILITH's research crew continues to try and detect the source of the strong waves. The city is in disarray after the tsunami, with the less secured buildings torn down and many lives lost. Morale within Neo Tokyo is at an all time low even with civilians comforting one another. Each Outsider will receive a small mission brief marked in the colours of their respective team as they are once again flown via helicopter to the designated area.

REDEMPTION:
Outsiders within REDEMPTION are tasked to spread joy in the streets and at the hospital. Be creative in how you wish to do this, whether it's putting on a performance, a skit, or spreading kindness with gifts and sweet gestures. Those with a Style Upgrade are encouraged to use their chip to don funny and eye catching costumes to entertain the civilians. Those with a healing upgrade are highly encouraged to help medical staff.

REVELATION:
Outsiders within REVELATION are tasked with babysitting duties. Many parents are still recovering in the hospital and there's no one to watch their children while they recover. A lot of pets need looking after too! Make sure the children and furbabies are fed, clothed and getting enough sleep. This can even include filling in for classrooms that have recently lost their teacher. Outsiders in REVELATION are encouraged to keep a tally of the census and go looking for lost children if someone seems to be missing.

EVERLIGHT:
Outsiders within EVERLIGHT will be tasked with keeping the people fed and the local businesses running. This can mean organising a soup kitchen, preparing homecooked meals for the civilians and delivering hot meals door to door. It can also mean helping local businesses with repairs to their shops, bringing them supplies and filling in for the staff they might have lost. The city might have just been hit with a tsunami, but that doesn't mean it needs to shut down!

BRIMSTONE:
Outsiders within BRIMSTONE are the luckiest of the lot - they get to be clean up crew. They will be mandated to wear hazmat suits in outrageous colours along with breathing gear. Why? Because they will be scrubbing the whole place of rubble, dirt, debris and corpses. Yes, corpses. Outsiders within BRIMSTONE will be given a census and tasked with identifying any dead body they find. They will then need to transport the corpse to the nearest LILITH disposal truck on a stretcher, where LILITH will cremate it properly. Note that they will be some survivors in the mix, so be prepared to administer first aid and conduct rescue operations accordingly.

Within certain parts of the city (the sewers, in particular, which have flooded with water), the natural flora seems to have been poisoned by a mysterious element. Toxic, monstrous plants are coming alive and attacking anything they see! They bind and strangle Outsiders with their vines and sting them with their nettles. These plants need to be dealt with before they overgrow. Fire & ice works well on them.

"Good afternoon, Angels of LILITH. Please pay close attention to the brief sent to you. We have specific duties for each team. Once you have done enough work, you will be prompted to help another team with their tasks if you desire. Our research crew is searching for the source of the kaiju and we have received information it is in the ocean. Please be ready in case it makes an appearance again before we can find it. You will be staying in Moonlight Inn & 11 Hours hostel once again as we should remain close by. Thank you for the cooperation."

Outsiders will need to finish their team missions. However, if they have time afterward and want to do some overtime, they are more than welcome to help the other teams on their missions.

▶ 003. IT ISN'T OVER YET.

Those who remember the mission brief two weeks ago will know that the first shockwaves are usually the sign of an impending kaiju. LILITH is conducting their own investigations, but with a fresh and energetic workforce it only makes sense to ultilize it. All Outsiders will be given orders to collect samples and bring it back for ongoing testing. By samples, they mean contaminated fish or ocean life remains, or samples of the toxic plants appearing in the sewers.

For Outsiders braving the sewers, they will need to don the silly hazmat suits issued to BRIMSTONE for their own protection and fight off the monstrous plants to clip some samples. It's encouraged to get leaves, stems, seeds, flowers or the whole plant if you can manage it. (Note that collecting the whole plant in a sample container will result in said plant hissing and striking you through the glass.)

For Outsiders who feel like taking a swim, they will be given diving suits and ordered to take a dive in Tokyo Bay. Once in the waters, they are to hunt down and capture any contaminated fish or marine life they can find. This means tuna fish with three eyes or octopi with two heads and 16 legs. It's encouraged to capture them live, but LILITH will also accept remains or waste samples. (Note that the available oxygen in the tank is limited and attempting to swim too far from Neo Tokyo will likely result in an Outsider drowning. )

▶ 004. AFTERWORD.

Welcome to our first CR Building event! All prompts are highly encouraged but OOCly optional. Characters are encouraged to participate in their team-specific missions but can help out the other teams if they have time. Feel free to ask any event-related questions below!

is it mandatory to wear the hazmat suits? more specifically, since wanderer is a puppet he's far more resilient than a human and can most likely withstand whatever the suits would protect a human from, + he can't be poisoned or fall ill, so he'd probably just turn down whatever LILITH offers him......

and frankly he'd rather die than wear the amogus cosplay, but i'm not beyond finding a way to force him into one in case there's any consequences of any kind ✌️

[ he hasn’t been particularly dissatisfied with the people he’s encountered here thus far. if anything, he was firm on practicing a certain level of neutrality and forced apathy. or that was the initial plan. but, regardless of how he feels, it’s clear whatever they’re doing isn’t seen as adequate by LILITH. yuwon truly has to wonder how the system here is so testy and… incredibly involved.

normally, he didn’t have any explicit complaints about that, but it sure is pretty burdensome when he’s trying to walk by someone and a prompt pops up chiding him to say something nice. his brows furrow momentarily, before he releases a sigh.

he looks the person straight in the eye and… there’s an incredibly palpable sigh. it's also clear that while he's biding for time, he is also not exactly letting the other party leave either, perhaps even constantly stepping in the same direction as them. is there a way to make this more awkward? probably not.

  TEAM ACTIVITY  

A - [ prior to his displacement into the world of the tower, he lived a fairly solitary life. actually, the only thing he may have ever "cared" for or raised was ... an egg, and in between threatening to crack it open and eat it or calling it less than savory names— he hasn’t done much actual caring aside raising its incubation stats (and taking warm baths with it???). hence, he can’t deny he’s fairly out of his element here.

while he was pretty good at handling animals, watching over children was probably pretty different, right?

that’s what logic would dictate at least. so he’s been doing his best to simply go with the flow. while he was trying to find somewhere to relax amongst the screaming and running around, he somehow gets roped into a (debatably) heated argument between kids.

they seem to (no, they definitely) want to play house and have somehow relegated him to the role of being one of their family members. he scratches the back of neck, his eyes peering down at them. he’s not exactly annoyed, but it’s clear he’s attempting to be dismissive enough that they drop it. instead, his obvious disinterest in playing only seems to fuel their begging. ]

I don’t know the first thing about family. [ he then looks up and … points at the nearest person. ] But they might. [ as they say, any responsible adult needs to learn to delegate. be the mother/father to his mother/father (role flexible)…. or, if you’re fighting to avoid the situation, there’s a good chance he’s going to try and make you the family dog. that’s the rules sometimes. ]

B - [ speaking of dogs.

maybe it’s good that he had experiencing in wrangling the wolves from the giant’s territory. unlike the massive size of those forest wolves, these are obviously far more manageable, and almost as if the dogs were naturally cautious of him, they seem to veer on the side of being oddly compliant with him and his commands. for now. there are about four to five dogs he's been tasked in managing, and at this moment, walking.

however, it's in the midst of this walk that the dogs suddenly become overly excitable, perhaps by a drone or another creature nearby. either way, it causes them to run and veer straight into a stranger they've never met before, frenziedly wrapping around them as yuwon attempts to rein them in. tangled in the leash with a stranger, this is looking curiously like it's 101 dalmations. ] Give me a second.

  RESEARCH  

[ now that he thought about it, he hadn’t done much actual scientific research before. in some ways, it was a little reminiscent of a school project, and while it was ironically humorous in some ways, it was also kind of a pain in the ass. not that he actually voices this.

he’s already rearing to go in his diving gear. while he deliberates over needing it all, considering how he was able to swim and breathe freely even while finding the underwater dungeon— he decides to simply follow the protocol. he’s ready to dive in, but momentarily he peers at what seems to be remains that are closer to the coast. he picks it up with his neoprene gloved hand. ]

[ Here he is again, once more surrounded by children. After so long spent toiling away in the chaos of the daycare mines, handling children is now second nature to him. Sure, there's always the initial roadbump of his appearance being vaguely offputting (read: intimidating) but once that's successfully crossed? It's smooth sailing, baby.

He looks up as soon as he's dragged into the conversation, brows raised in question. There's already one child at his side, scribbling away at a piece of paper, several scattered sticker sheets surrounding them. Wriothesley also seems to have a drawing in hand, although it looks a little questionable.....? ]

Hm? [ What—oh. ] Are you in need of my expertise, Yuwon?

[ Is it time for him to assert his superiority once more? Haha, no, just kidding. They worked out their problems via [redacted] and now he can act normal. He sounds (mostly) normal too, only the faintest trace of light-hearted teasing in his voice. ]

Sure, I can help. [ He did have a big family growing up, after all. ] What do you want to know?

  ▶ (001) TEAM ACTIVITIES.  

[ Aki thinks this must be some kind of nightmare.

When he had arrived here, he had been expecting missions: fighting, dealing with monsters, using weapons to make sure people were protected. He had antipcated putting himself in a situation where he gets himself into more trouble than he should, or trying to find some way of making sure that Denji is well taken care of and supported. He did not, in any way, shape or form anticipate this.

This being toddlers and young children climbing up his legs, poking at different parts of his body, trying to pull his hair; one of them has somehow made her way to his hip, cuddling into him and telling him what feels like an endless story about a family pet.

Stepping into the role wasn't as difficult as he had imagined it being, given how similar it was to trying to wrangle Power and Denji when they'd first moved in with him, but that doesn't mean he's happy about it. One kid keeps trying to hang off the long sleeve of his missing arm and it's enough to give him a headache.

Eventually, he manages to sit down, letting the little girl curl against him as he dozes off, tilting his head and trying to breathe.

Once he's done with his mandated babysitting duties, he steals away to the Everlight group - partly to check on Denji, but also so that he can do something he actually enjoys and have a little bit of evening cooking to calm him down. ]

  ▶ (002) COMPLIMENTS (AND OTHERWISE).  

[ Given the fact that he's not confident in his ability to swim - having a single arm has destroyed his chances for going for the Japanese Olympic record - Aki has decided to spend his time exploring the base and learning about this place, just in case something goes wrong. It's always good to know a place to hide out, or where supplies are, and if bad things keep happening...

Aki is not in the mood to compliment anyone, so instead he tries to avoid them; he travels around the base to try and find a quiet area where human interaction will be at a minimum.

His first stop is the cafeteria, to see if he can sneak back into the kitchens and try and make something a little more familiar for lunch. The simple appliances don't do him much good, however, and anyone hanging around having their own lunch will see Aki slumping down in his chair. His one plan was to try and make some kind of bento or something like it, but with their meals being as regulated as they are... Perhaps he'll have to try elsewhere.

Later, he spends hours in the library, flicking through a series of books that have been left in a pile beside him. They range from poetry and art to a rather distinctive, retro seeming erotic novel that he flicks through, mostly looking irritated at it before he places it delicately to one side and starts on the next one. He spends longer curled up in one of the most uncomfortable of the chairs, letting himself drown in the poetry and ignore the sounds of the world around him and the discomfort of the implant in his body.

When it gets dark and the evening mood takes over him, he slips away to the recreational area. Anyone stopping by for their own workout will find Aki jogging on one of the running machines. Every few minutes, he increases the intensity until he's almost sprinting, sweat beading on his face and his breathing coming out harder. After a little while he forces himself to stop, almost stumbling off before he collapses on one of the benches, rubbing his head. ]

Quanxi grabs the terror in her hands and, just as she's about to wail, pushes her against the shoulder blade her ponytail hangs down on. The girl is appeased by being able to stroke and tug on the gray-silver hair of her new caretaker. ]

[ If not for her experience encountering Makima, she would be more surprised to see him as he is now. Instead she's flat faced as typical, giving a piggyback ride to an older boy and holding the hand of a shy girl hiding her face behind Quanxi's leg. ]

( speaking of playing hooky, she'll also be seen with the other teams since it seemed more fun than her task.

a. with the everlight, she can be seen in some pretty choice aprons that was handed to her, grabbed out of some nearby secondhand store. one is free to make a comment, but she is currently working a pretty santoku through a series of prep work. handy with a knife, it seems, trimming up cuts of meat and chopping up vegetables of all sorts for stews and such. maybe she's waved you down to try a spoonful, or maybe she's smacked your hand away from the pot with a wooden spoon. wait like the rest.

b. with revelation, she finally gets to sit! but there's a kid on her lap dozing away with her little head resting on her collar, cradled with an arm as she listens to another who's sat by her regaling her with the plot line of a cartoon he's watched recently. it's not long before he grumbles about being hungry, and kafka's gaze holding yours seems to be an ask for some assistance with that since she's still being used as a pillow.

c. and lastly, redemption. she's haunting hallways, nothing too special. seems a little weird to go above and beyond with the happy and cheery in a place that reeks of sanitized death. but here she is nonetheless, her brand of chipper and small smiles. she's definitely sneaking the patients snacks that they maybe shouldn't have. but hey, what could beat joy in the form of high sodium and fried goods? stop her, join her, it'd be funny either way. )

regardless of what he had been doing just before the message popped up - taking a stroll outside, walking through the base, exploring their ocular implants and clicking on someone's profile, or even just texting someone... there's just no way he would actually play along with this, right? offer a compliment? does he look like the kind of person who has ever given anyone a compliment at all? do something nice? the nicest thing he could do for someone is stay away from them, really.

if you just so happened to spot wanderer in person, it's really easy to see how much his expression darkens in something quite similar to disgust - though really, he's just bothered more than anything else. who in their right mind would tell a tsundere to say anything kind to anyone else? he clicks his tongue rather loudly, and looks away. )

i'm stealing yuwon's idea, so feel free to keep this prompt low effort if you'd like! if you just wanna leave a comment to get a... backhanded compliment, or no compliment at all, or an attempt at one. for all the other prompts, you can hit me up on haravatat to plan or just leave a comment on my cr meme to talk things out! wanderer is in brimstone so he'll be helping out with the corpses, most likely not wearing a hazmat suit (unless being a puppet doesn't exempt him from whatever consequences there will be), and probably diving to catch those contaminated sea life since he doesn't need to breathe and can stay underwater for longer.

[ Here Wriothesley is, on his way back to his room with a McD*nald's bag in tow (because sometimes you're just really craving a shitty burger and fries), and there Wanderer is, glaring at something invisible in the air and running that angry little mouth of his.

He's had to deal with three of his own annoying little pop-ups so far so he thinks he can take a guess as to what's got the guy so worked up. One hand lifts up, the burger baggy swinging idly in the air. ]

Now now, wouldn't it be easier to just play along than suffer through whatever punishment might be waiting in the wings?

[ Because there is definitely going to be a punishment of some kind based on how laser-focused this get-along campaign seems to be. ]

▶001. Get Along
[So far, Raidou has gotten along pretty well with most other Outsiders. Mostly, though, that's due to his quiet and polite nature. He's unobtrusive and not very conversational, and the most time he seems to spend on base with anyone is when sparring or training. Even then, it's all business.

He also spends a fair amount of time keeping the place tidy, just to keep busy. He's also pretty good at it, for whatever that's worth, faster than the roombas. Today is no different, with Raidou working on the windows. He's looking a little distant as he does, looking out at the city with far-off, wistful look. Most days he's Raidou is good running from his feelings, but sometimes they catch up at the strangest times.

If you happen to be walking past him as he simply minds his own business, Synthia will prompt you into compliment time for your sad-looking colleague.]

▶002. Teamwork
[Among the Everlight camp of this disaster relief effort is Raidou helping to cook. He doesn't have too much of a chance to do that on the base. He can be such a domestic type for a demon summoner. He can help other Everlights who might not much cooking experience with it if they like.

In true Raidou fashion, it's everyone else he's worried about before himself. After help getting the kitchen caught up with food, he'll be packing up boxed lunches and bringing them not just to civilians, but the other team members as well. He'll be stopping by where other Everlights are on clean up duty; at classrooms or parks where Revelation members are tending to the kids and the pets; to the hospitals or street corners where Redemption members are entertaining the weary civilians; to the check-in points where Brimstone members trudge through their terrible task.

It's the least he feels he can do to help. He sets down a blanket somewhere nearby and beings to unpack the boxes and hot tea he's brought so all can share. Even if you're just walking past, he'll speak up.]

▶003. Clean Up
[Nanami warned him of this very thing recently. Raidou's tendency to work as he does would catch up with him, and make him more of a liability than an asset. And now here he was, caught by himself facing several of these plant monsters by himself after working too long, without a chance to rest or sleep himself. He doesn't want to think. He wants to work, and he wants to fight.

The bulk of the plants were no problem for someone like him, lightning fast with a sword, so he doesn't even call for help. This should be easy, as he's fought much worse alone. But after a few too many hits of poison, he's slowing down. A vine shoots out and he misses his mark by a fraction, just enough for the monster to knock his sword from his grip and take hold of his arm. Without his demons, he feels useless. One could easily help burn these plants down, or cure the poison that's weakening him.

Maybe you come on the scene to find Raidou's right arm tangled within the plants, him shakily reaching for his sword as he swats off attacks with his other. Or maybe you're someone who, after he very reluctantly does so, puts a distress call out on the network for help.]

[ Yuji wouldn't call himself a good cook necessarily, but he can throw together a simple, decent meal when the need calls for it; weeks of taking after his grandpa and cooking for himself had forced him into the position of ensuring his own food was prepared. It's mostly noodle based dishes, simple things that look like a hastily put together ramen compared to any kind of feast, but at least he's making himself useful.

Once meals are prepared, and he's slipped away for a moment, he spends a bit of time searching for the people that he recognises. He knows all about this boss-ordered need to compliment people, and Yuji knows that's the kind of thing that he can do. If it's compliments people want, then he's definitely the guy to do it! ]

there's nothing to be done about that, though. ishmael can speak her mind about a lot of things so it's not like she's averse to giving compliments - she's just bad at taking them. she can be found in the commons for these things, reading a book she'd gotten from the library or something, and whenever she feels like someone is staring at her intently she's going to groan, shut her book closed, and look at the person dead in the eye like: ]

They seemed to get the bottom of the barrel on assignments compared to everyone else. The sight of bloated decomposing corpses doesn't stir any emotion in her heart and that makes it easy to pile them onto stretchers a few at a time and move them to the trucks. She's in a white hazmat suit without any discerning features, but it's easy to tell which person is Ishmael from the ribbons.

(It's a little charming actually, but this isn't the time for that.) ]

( a job's a job, and izou should be grateful for the opportunity to do something other than clean-up or babysitting, but that doesn't keep the tepid blue of the ocean from glimmering with spite, the demented choir of creatures and shells beneath the surface an eerie reminder that something massive is lurking within the depths. luckily it doesn't take long to locate ocean life affected by the abnormal caress of certain energies, the octopus in question having lodged itself neatly between a couple rocks in an attempt to escape its captors, nor did it take long to catch with the LILITH-provided claw equipment.

as izou and his assigned companion exit the sea, dripping with water and the drowned remains of various fauna attached to any seaweed that may be clinging to them, the two-headed octopus and its sixteen legs begin to struggle against the beach violently.

in an instant, he unsheathes the blade tucked neatly against his suit ( yeah, he took it into the water... don't worry about it ), only to cruelly plunge it directly into one of those thrashing limbs and pin it to the shore. what he didn't expect, however, was the sudden explosion of ink right in their faces. he leaps back, with no real means to protect himself other than lifting his now sullied arms, sword still lodged in the creature to keep it still. )

[When the prompt pops up for the first time, Taryon thinks it's some sort of joke. Why would he give out a compliment in the middle of a conversation for no reason? Isn't that kind of creepy? After he leaves the conversation, he gets a notif that SYNTHIA has noticed that he ignored the company-sanctioned Bonding Activity one time.

Maybe he should have listened to the pop up.

The next time his happens, he's in the cafeteria attempting to find flavor in his soup. Taryon isn't aware of any time limit for the compliment, but better now than too later.]

2. Spreading Joy and Goodness

[Why wouldn't someone so naturally charming as he, Taryon Darrington, be selected to make the people happy? Obviously, he has to do more than stand there and look dazzling, especially when he doesn't have his style upgrade, but acting has never been his style.

But what he can do is perform dramatic readings at the hospital. He takes rare, physical books from the library, picking shorter stories on the comedic side, sets up a chair at communal rooms in the hospital, and reads to any patients that come. Some are older and appreciate a slow-paced story. Others are younger and bored. After an hour of reading chapter after chapter, he's handed a picture book and directed towards the children's ward.]

3. Fish Hunting

[For all of the bad memories Taryon has of fighting a Kraken, it hasn't created an aversion to the sea - after all, they weren't fighting it in a normal ocean, but rather another plane of existence. This is going to be fine. By the time he's suited up (why does LILITH have so many skin-tight suits?) and leaps into the water, the dread has caught up with him: they're going to be catching mutant marine life. What if he runs into a horrifying squid?

A small grey fish swims past him, followed by a school of many like it. They seem normal enough. This will be fine. Taryon keeps close to the surface, swapping his attention between searching for unusual animals and admiring the bleak atmosphere. Work is slow, but he finds a few multi-eyed, two-headed fish without any hassle.

Until a long arm shoots out behind a rocky formation and wraps around his wrist. He messages the nearest Outsider with an audio file of a very bubbly yell.]

While Bakugo hasn't blocked anyone on LINE (yet) he certainly has bordered on the verge of fighting, and in some cases, got pissed off enough to fall right over that damn line and lash out. People are fucking annoying! You know who you are. And he's not regretful of it either. Bakugo's naturally antisocial, prickly, aggressive, and generally difficult to get along with. Weeds out the stupid extras he doesn't want to waste his time with...

Meaning in the middle of a conversation, he's brought up short by a sudden pop-up appearing in his mind / eye / space in front of his face / wherever the hell it wants to be invasive. That picture immediately clues him on this being something ridiculous, ashen-blonde brows furrowing in annoyance at the prompt shoved in his face. ...positive working environment...pay a compliment...do something nice...disciplinary action... A combination of lecturing words that make him feel like a goddamn preschooler getting chided by his teacher.

However the hell this place managed to do that is beyond him, but it does leave him blinking in surprise at the sudden change. Wait, was that person a simulation? No, he knew he was talking to them physically. Then why the hell is he in here?

Storming across his room, he shoves his thumb and face close to the scanners to open it, only to find the panel in front of him remains stubbornly shut. Even after a second attempt.]

he's also likely learned the names of all the children he's responsible for. so when little julia wanders off from the group and gets into an accident, wolfwood's already cursing under his breath as she starts up a shrill wail from her position on the floor. he has about ten seconds before the rest of the kids decide to join in the choir and he turns to the person closest to him. ]

Maybe you'll put her out of her misery and start up a conversation, even, but in the case she's not that lucky, eventually she scuttles over, fiddling with a lock of her hair. She'd thought she was at peace with the notion such that she barely even noticed at first as things changed, and she came to want things for herself, even from Elias. The idea of being able to make other people happy, the way Elias and Ruth and Silver and Alice and the others had made her happy .... it's very new to her to think she might be able to do that.

She knows she's capable of it, technically. She's had to be reminded, in the past, but she does know. It's just a little ... embarrassing, maybe, to be tasked with such a thing officially. It feels presumptuous to think her efforts could mean much in the face of such disaster. Even so, she does come to the hospital. She brings along with her the crystals that form from her excess magic every night, formed into the shape of flowers, and hands them out to the children. She sings with her sleep magic to those struggling with insomnia, be it from pain or simply anxiety. She uses Ashen Eye's pelt to transform into animals long unseen in the wreckage of Neo Tokyo.

[ Yor's out and about in the dorms for every team, not just Everlight's. Busy as a bee. Despite the colder weather, she's been keeping warm by doing various chores around the base. Though by that I mean she's been cleaning their dorm space in a fit of nervous energy that far exceeds her usual tidiness. She hasn't gone into other people's rooms, but she's been viciously scrubbing down the common areas to make sure there's not a speck of dust or dirt or even a stray hair to be found on the floor or in those corners.

She's in the midst of mopping when she looks up at the sound of someone else coming out of their room. Her whole body tenses up, and she flings out a hand. ]

It's not like he doesn't understand the importance of teamwork, especially after both Kafka and Jing Yuan reminded him of how crucial it is for him to set his grievances aside just so they can all make it back home in one piece. He gets it, really. But that doesn't make it any less annoying. He's already willing to put up with working together with Dan Heng so anything beyond that is just asking for too much of him.

After receiving SYNTHIA's message, Blade has spent most of the day ignoring it, not at all interested in complimenting those he has to work with. How SYNTHIA thinks he's even capable of doing so is beyond him, since he is someone who hates small talk from the get-go. ]

[ At least what the Revelation team has been asked to do isn't too different from his day job.

Taking care of pets will always be much easier than dealing with people, so he goes to the location he's been assigned to. Just a couple of cats to look after while their owners are recovering at the nearby hospital and not much else. No one even asked him to clean up the apartment, but he's doing that anyway.

You might catch him taking out a few trash bags outside, or you might find him chasing after one of the cats that managed to escape. ]

[ A few kids were also reported to be lost so he's on the lookout for those who might the description. [ If there's one thing that Yuji Itadori can do, it's compliment someone that he likes. Sometimes, even people he doesn't like, if they're lucky.

When the order comes through, there's no hesitation; he spends his time doing things as normal, training, practicing his healing abilities, trying not to get himself into too much trouble (and mostly succeeding?) and keeping himself busy. Spending too long alone hasn't really done much for him, even in a place like this; he ends up dwelling on his thoughts, getting a little lost in his regrets and the things that are waiting for him when he makes his way home.

He's in the cafeteria for his meal times - he eats his regulated breakfast, lunch and dinner, because he's a good young man who doesn't want anything to go to waste, even if he could dart outside to get himself a snack once or twice. For each meal he tries to sit at a table that has someone he recognises in it, beaming as he puts the tray down and waves his hand. ]

[ Otherwise, Yuji can be found in the gym, doing a training regime that also includes lifting a huge club up and down. He doesn't swing it, or smash it, since that would create shockwaves, but what is clearly on display is a pretty impressive physique for a teenager. When he pauses, the weights lifted halfway up, he sighs, tilting his head back. Even someone as optimistic as Yuji can get annoyed. ]

SYNTHIA, really? Right now?

  ▶ (002) THERE'S NO "I" IN "TEAM".  

[ Yuji's first port of call when it comes to his mission is to focus on the things that he's best at: helping with repairs, mostly doing the heavy lifting. He can be found wandering around, carrying poles, bits of wood, materials - he is as reliable as a mule, darting here and there and laughing with the civilians. There are some people who slap him on the back and nudge him gently, who tease him a little for making it so they don't have as much work to do, but he takes it all in his stride.

If he can do anything to make life a little easier for the people here, then he'll take it.

He does take a break, since he's fearing for his life if he doesn't rest a little more than he has been previously, sitting himself down on a bench with a bottle of water and a smile on his face. Anyone who walks by will see him waving happily, clearly content at being put to work.

Later, he's throwing himself into the soup kitchen; it's still a little bit of lifting and carrying, but he's quickly tasked with simple meal preparation and food delivery. He can be caught rushing through the rooms at a frankly ridiculous speed, skidding by and laughing as he dodges other people. ]

Woah, sorry! Mind your head!

[ And then he's off again, a bundle of food in his hands as he tries to find whoever it is that it's going to. ]

[ The immediate instinct that Yuji has is to completely ignore the hazmat suit, thinking about Sukuna and poison, but he also has the sudden image of Nanami, Kugisaki and Fushiguro tearing him to shreds, so he gives in.

It takes him an embarrassing amount of time to actually get the suit on, hopping around on one leg as he tugs it up and over his body, huffing out as he does so. It's uncomfortable, and he grimaces a little as he tugs the sleeves over his arms, sighing a little. Maybe he shouldn't be doing this? It's not as if he's any kind of expert at dealing with plants or toxins or anything like that, but if he has a chance of resisting them then isn't that better than other people going?

He spends a little while holding the helmet, deliberating his choices, as if that's going to make a real difference.

Eventually, he hovers beside the entrance, scratching the back of his head and sighing softly. ]

[Does it make Yuji's debate about putting the hazmat suit on or leaving it off any easier when he hears the probably-easily-recognized loud mouth coming from another area of the barricaded sector? Something about not asking for an opinion because he's going in there and taking care of these fucking weeds. While Dynamight will listen to the Brimstone leader in charge of this task, he's not about to take some "senpai" yapping from a Brimstone extra that doesn't have a damn clue about what he can do.

If Yuji hasn't seen Bakugo in his full costume yet, he gets to see now. Stalking across the area towards the entrance to the sewers and already pulling the hazmat suit open on his way there. While he's faced toxins and poisons from different villains before, the idea of dealing with some monster miasma is stupid. But ironically, he's also seen tv reports of real-life events like this, and read about them in comics, so hazmat is a must. What good is a hero if he winds up dead from breathing before he even reaches his opponent?

Luckily Dynamight doesn't witness Yuji trying to get his hazmat suit on. Otherwise he would've razzed him (and likely helped, roughly) for it. He dons his own easily, even slipping it over his boots and fastening it around his body with sturdy tape to keep even more secure. The only thing he has to do is roll the sleeves up to his elbows and secure that with a tight wind of tape so his Grenadier Bracers are open and ready. Sprays those things with the strongest disinfectant the Brimstone group has before moving to the entrance.

Which is where he finally notices a familiar head of pink hair. Fuck. This guy? The last time he spoke with Gari Head, they got into an argument over shit! On the one hand, he could just abandon, avoid the clash. On the other hand, SUCK IT THE FUCK UP!]

( Kiritsugu was not a man who engaged in idle flattery. Which is why, when he received the prompt from LILITH, his first inclination is to simply scoff, and go on with his day.

This was, however, LILITH they were talking about. And in his mind, who knows what this place could do to him if he simply chose not to comply. Which is what brings him to the lunchroom: scanning the area for anyone looking as though they may be having a bad day/in need of cheering up. Certainly, that much would help him reach his quota.

If Kiritsugu is approached, he will make the barest, idle remark, perhaps around the lines of 'you have pretty eyes,' or 'I like your hair.'

( ...Admittedly, the chosen activity for his team was at once something he hardly minded at all, and very much a dagger to the heart. He always enjoyed taking care of children, something becoming a father quickly taught him. He was able to play with children, much as though as he were a child himself.

But that's not to say it didn't hurt him profusely. If anything, it made him think of his daughter, Illya, back in his own world. What with Irisviel's death and his absence, he couldn't help but worry if she was alone and scared. Nor could he imagine Acht was treating her properly.

These thoughts swim in his mind, even with a child in his lap at the daycare he'd been assigned, its little hand grabbing at his sleeve. )

[When Raidou arrives from the Everlight camp with food, he's immediately swarmed by a bunch of kids who are both hungry, and eager to bug the new person. He doesn't have much experience with kids, so he's not sure what to do, but he attempts to ask them to line up and get ready for the lunches to be handed out. It's not too successful, but other Revelation team members help corral the children for him.

Once the line is going, Raidou takes several of the bento boxes himself to hand out to those who aren't lined up, Kiritsugu among them. He's holding two - one for him, and one for the girl sitting with him.]

[ Well, his life has certainly gotten weirder in Neo Tokyo, but it honestly can't be considered worse. Even with the disaster relief missions and difficult housing situation, he's been able to live in relative peace compared to the miserable, constant missions from his old one. In fact, being asked to interact with his teammates is really the least of Nanami's worries, and being assigned to help people with normal problems is something he wouldn't have been asked to do before, and it's a refreshing change.

Collecting kids and animals while their families recover is the most positive impact he's been able to have in a while--even if he can help people by fighting, it always seems to be at a horrible cost. And they still suffer. It still feels like he's losing somehow. This is at least something he can feel better about. Which means anyone who comes across him might get a small animal or child unceremoniously handed over. Oh, right, he's being prompted to compliment them too? Sure. ]

He's mostly been content with that, there's something to be said for being useful where he can, but when someone else steps away and gestures for him to take their place at the grill, it brings him up a bit short.

He's on the verge of turning towards the person coming up behind him to ask for help when he brightens at the realization that it's a familiar figure. Followed by an even more familiar wash of confusion as a small child is suddenly thrust into his arms. ]
