[he's not the first person to notice that. aizawa had immediately called bakugou out on his collateral damage once he got into u.a. and ever since then, the blonde has worked to hone his quirk to avoid the destruction it causes, too proud to allow something like that to slide once he got chewed out for it. some collateral is expected in any fight, but bakugou manages to keep his to a minimum by pulling his blast's power until it's right in the target, aiming just above the surface of the ship, narrowing his blast radius to avoid his allies around him, and being annoyingly skilled with his quirk to leave a swatch of dead monsters around while everything else (important) is left more or less untouched.

he's not apologizing for blowing one of these creature's heads up and getting fried brains splatted against the deck cabin's door. that's not fucking "damage"; that's just expected mess. it's not like denji over there, leaving geysers of blood and gore all over. then again, what'd you expect from a guy shoving chainsaws into guts and brains? the fact denji hasn't plunged his chainsaws into the deck itself and left gouging holes all over the ship speaks a lot to his own aim and battle instincts.

bakugo glances over to check on denji just in time to see the other hero (used lightly) licking blood off his chainsaw. ugh, that's hardly hygienic, but knowing how the half-devil fuels his healing, he expects it to happen now. it only takes that glance to notice the damage on denji's body, thus providing the reason for his lascivious licking.

the raging battle comes to a calm for the time being and bakugou punts one of the carcasses over the railing. doesn't need that shit being in the way as people start coming out on the deck to gather the injured and take them inside. others begin to man the guns, clean the artillery, refuel the bullets and harpoons, and otherwise get the ship back into defensive order during the lull. bakugou clears a few more monsters off the deck via grabs and throws as he makes his way over to denji, who's apparently looking for him. some of the waves splashing over the side of the ship help to clean the blood and gore, but it'll take more effort to get rid of all of it. good thing some other outsiders staked out on the boat are helping with that.]

Call me that again and I'll shove your ripcord down your throat. [growly growl. right, he's still injured. it was a patch job with internal healing at best. he frowns at his shoulder.] It's taken care of already. There are people worse off that need their attention. [he can move it, it's not bleeding, ergo, it's fine.]
