Except if it's you, because you're always the cutest?
no subject
Some people don't have good taste, probably.
no subject
[ gosh, it really is charming how confident she is... ]
Alright! You first. Who's, um, caught your eye?
[ this is how that works. right? her teen romance books wouldn't lie to her. ]
no subject
[ Hm. She pauses, tapping her chin. ]
Are we starting with one at a time or a list here?
no subject
[ ... she says, as someone who loves lists and has a list prepared but doesn't want to scare her best friend who just informed her things didn't need to be a long list. ]
no subject
[ It's terrible when they're in the same room. ]
no subject
[ also. hold up. her eyes are scanning march's walls... who could it bem ]
I don't actually know Winter... Do you have his picture up?
no subject
[ But she points to a photo on the wall; this one's a selfie, March and some hot elf guy with black hair in front of some pretty blue-purple flowers. ]
Over there, in front of the flowers.
no subject
I guess he's kind of pretty... he looks like he takes good care of his hair.
[ ... yeah. that's all. ]
no subject
[ jazzhands at Malkuth, expectantly. ]
no subject
My turn? Um...
[ gosh. every name she knows flew out the window. uh. um. oh. ]
Wriothesley's pretty handsome, don't you think? And a real gentleman too! He took me out to dinner earlier this month and we had a pretty good time getting to know each other.
no subject
[ Haaaaa. ]
He's handsome, definitely. And I appreciate the muscles. He was the one who brought up ballroom dancing to me as a way to get more graceful, actually.
... But he's totally bad at romance.
[ Matter-of-factly. ]
no subject
[ she's so cute and sweet, after all... ]
I mean, his was just as a reward for getting along with Ishmael, so it's not like he actually asked me out or anything... I'm the one who's usually taking people places.
[ we'll get back to the other stuff in a second. ]
no subject
[ Malkuth probably already knows this, it's the fate of an extrovert. ]
Wait, so he was rewarding you for getting along with Ishmael? I didn't know they were close.
no subject
I didn't either! She came up because-- um, of something we're doing together, and he seemed to know her, so I asked for some advice. Maybe it's because we're from the same City and all, but I've got real foot in mouth disease when I talk to her... so he said that if I found a way, he'd treat me to dinner.
[ and, well. done. ]
How's he bad at romance? I mean, he's bad at taking a compliment, that much I know, so I can't say I'm really surprised.
no subject
[ Terrible. ]
But you guys are from the same place? So that means Rodya and Ishmael's boss, too? Small... world? City?
no subject
Yeah! Just... different times, like with Netzach and Yesod. They're ahead of me, and way ahead of those two. We've got a little line going.
[ haha...... ha....... ]
Speaking of them, do you still think Netzach's cute? And what do you think of Yesod? I kind of wish I could show you how they look the way I know them, but they both resemble their first lives a bit.
no subject
Netzach's cute in kind of a "this guy needs more sunlight and maybe to put his not-real hair up" way? Like he makes you want to fuss over him. And Yesod...
[ March tilts her head slightly, thinking this over. ]
He looks put-together? It's nice, but I think he'd look cuter if he smiled more. He's sort of awkward, but that's also kinda cute.
no subject
[ wow... fussable and awkward. she can kind of see it. ]
Yesod does have a nice smile, but it's a small, rare kind. And you're pretty spot on with Netzach too -- he has his hair up like... [ ... ] I can't show you until my nails dry, but it's a nice style. He's still unkempt where clothes are concerned, but it feels more fashionable.
[ which she's gained an understanding of! here! ]
And you won't be seeing it much, but his smile isn't half bad either. I'd like it if they both found reasons to show them off, though.
no subject
[ Then again, it's a bit of a tough crowd here, isn't it... ]
I feel like most of the people where you're from are pretty good-looking, though. Like, there's you and your coworkers, like we talked about. Miss Rodya's super gorgeous and Ishmael's freckles are really cute! Her hair's beautiful, too.
no subject
[ such pretty orange hair. and her own boring brown. rodya's owns it though. ]
Do you think their boss is good looking too, then?
no subject
[ So many pretty shades of hair here... ]
Their... oh, Mr. Vergilius?
[ Her eyebrows furrow thoughtfully. ]
I don't know, he kind of looked like he'd swallowed a lemon the whole time he was talking to me.
no subject
Right? I don't think he's smiled a day in his life. And he's hard to get along with... though I've been trying anyway.
[ something itches at the back of her mind, but remains shadowed -- leaving only a latent annoyance in its place, a question that'd drawn her ire.
... hmm. ]
He isn't bad looking, and I don't think a wide smile would suit him... but I think a little one would be charming.
no subject
[ She sees those hands, missy. ]
I get it, though... trying to get certain people here to accept friendship has been more of a battle than I expected. But... [ March trails off, as though she's trying so hard to recall Vergilius' face. ]
I don't know, I think he's a little too intense for me. Like he's frowned so much his face looks more like a map. I'm not sure a smile would change much.
[ March, that's rude. ]
no subject
[ why is she defending him. ]
Your turn! Another name.
