For those Outsiders on the younger side, Raidou has sent out a blanket text message to one and all inviting them to a hanami picnic at a park near the base. Everyone is encouraged to bring whatever snacks and entertainment they like, but it's not a requirement. Yukata are also encouraged but not required. This isn't anything formal, just a chance for everyone to hang out, for the newbie kids to get acquainted with their fellow Outsiders, and to get a little comeuppance on the adults who got to go out on a bar crawl without them all. The only rule is that adults will be turned away from sitting with them! Sorry, folks.

Raidou Kuzunoha is not exactly a person known for his social aptitude or party planning skills, and it's a miracle he's even come up with this idea, so it's definitely a good idea for people to bring want: food, drinks, games. Someone needs to sneak in the sake, because this straight-laced kid will not be. Not to fear if you come empty-handed though, as there are plenty of snack stalls nearby. Most of his efforts have gone into finding and securing the perfect spot for them to hang.

[ Someone less straight-laced has snuck sake into the party, but if you ask him, he is going to deny responsibility. Elan appears a carefree presence, mingling and helping himself to dishes that others have brought. Later on, he gets a mischievous glint in his eyes and proposes a game of truth or dare to liven up the festivities. So how about it?

After extroverting hard for an evening, he takes up a quiet spot away from the crowd, leaning against a blossom tree and looking contemplative. All this partying isn't unenjoyable, presumably it's what normal teens do, but he needs a break before he starts to feel like he's just going through the motions.]

[ Yuji frowns, crossing his arms a little. ]

... What if I don't want to answer?

You can't pass! That's against the rules. You're not a rulebreaker, are you?

[ Oho? What big secrets does he keep? Now Elan is even more curious. Yuji doesn't strike him as the type to have skeletons in the closet. ]

Not if I can help it...

[ Aww... Damn... Sighing, he crosses his arms and tries not to pout. ]

Tell me what's bothering you.

[ As tempted as he is to go for Yuji's secrets, he'll start with a question that's got more wiggle room. ]

[ That's kind of a... Random question, isn't it? He frowns, crossing his arms. ]

I guess I'm a little mad I had to pay Toji-san to talk to Megumi?

[ What. Who's gatekeeping who now. He must know some bizarre people. ]

I just wanted him to share some information, that's all.

[ Shrug, whatever!! Sometimes you bribe your friend's dad to talk to him about stuff, that's normal. ]

[ Elan says it like he's complaining, but as a Spacian...Earth's natural beauty has no compare. Snow, wind, rain, shine. The elements are sometimes harsh and sometimes gentle against his skin, but always real. It makes him feel alive. ]

On one hand, Elan has a feeling it will be nigh impossible to embarrass Kaworu (because isn't that the goal here). On the other hand, this is his chance to mold him into a formidable (in other words, annoying) truth and dare player. ]

When someone picks dare, you tell them to do something for you or do something they don't want.

[ Oh boy, this will never end. Elan sighs lightly, shutting his eyes and opening them again. ]

Or humans have underthought it.

[He thinks. Really thinks. He doesn't know much about dares other than they might involve eating something unappealing or climbing up somewhere frighteningly high. Neither of those interest him.]

I dare you to tell me what you think of me and our team.

[Okay, it's a bit more like truth but he #tried.]

[ That's definitely a truth, but if that's what he wants... ]

[ Being raised in a lab explains a lot, and it's not Kaworu's fault humans are hard to understand in all their contradictions. ]

[He seems both curious and a bit relieved. He'd never figured out how to not be offputting to humans.]

[Manjoume considers the proposal, before he shrugs.]

Fine. I'll pick truth for the first round.

Were you scared of the kaiju?

[ Sorry Manjoume, Elan's decided to be annoying and we're back to this topic again. ]

[thundercrashes]

Nope.

[A rather blase, but immediate answer. Manjoume wasn't scared of the kaiju... not exactly. He's seen far scarier looking monsters, he thinks, so rather than the kaiju itself, there was something else that day that had his nerves rattling.

But Elan is going to have to ask a better question if they want to get a better answer on that.]

That's what you decide to waste your question on? Geez... but hey, it's your turn now, isn't it? Truth or dare.

Huh, and I thought I was onto something...

[ Elan hums as he leans back on his hands. The guy was clearly on edge, but if not the kaiju then what? He'll get it out of him yet. ]

Dare me.

[Funny enough, despite knowing how the game is played, Manjoume has never actually played it before with someone, so it takes a moment to think of a reasonable dare to pit against the other.]

I dare you to... [He looks around for a moment to try to get an idea of something, before his gaze lands on the tree that Elan has been leaning against, as he then points to one of the lower branches.] ... try to climb the tree and reach that branch.
