[Yugamu, meanwhile, is finding it hard to call upon his usually unflappable composure. He's not the one that gets flustered, he's the one doing the flustering!!! But he also doesn't usually get to go on dates with cute boys. Even if a part of him is still not sure that Choso fully comprehends what he agreed to? He'd have agonized more over what to wear if not for the fact that he has very particular tastes and a relatively small budget due to not having been on the team that long. He can't come off as trying too hard here, so he's chosen something cute but casual. When he spots Choso, he doesn't approach right away because damn he's cuter in person??? What the hell. And tall.

A cat cafe certainly wasn't what he was expecting but despite being an evil and intimidating horse former assassin, he likes animals! Why not!!! So finally, steeling himself, he trots up and tries to be casual.]

[ if there was another place in the city that Choso felt fitting to show off to someone new and fresh, the Cat Cafe was the only one that wasn't the bathhouse, and none of his research suggested that bathhouses were customary for first times out. next time. next time it would be the baths.

but, ah, look. here that Yugamu is, just as strange in person as his files suggested. in turning to look at him, Choso makes the motion seem like something of greater scale than it seems; as if in regarding this newcomer, he must reel in the wide-cast net of his attention and awareness, as if he must narrow the drifting scope of his gaze down into a laser focus on this one single person.

[Choso is definitely an odd duck, but so is Yugamu in his own way, so while he notices the strangeness in how Choso carries himself, it doesn't register to him as an issue. If anything it's charming. Similarly, being told he smells good doesn't rub him the wrong way like it might another person.]
