to begin with, their relationship could probably be perceived as rather tumultuous. disagreements being relatively common between the two, minus yuwon never sems to attach too much meaning to them. simply considering them a part of their communication; no grudge or resentment held. then again, it would probably be more surprising for him to be that invested in anything.

There's a small part of him left that also doesn't want to fight, that recognizes the futility in a physical brawl that never goes close to touching upon the root cause of the issue. But right now he feels as though he's back in the Fortress, but as an inmate instead of the administrator, veins full of a restless fury he only knows one way of purging.
Yuwon faces him head on, chin held high as always, and it makes it easier for Wriothesley ball one hand into a fist, fingers curling into a position deeply familiar to him. There's no warning given before he swings said fist right toward's Yuwon's face—at least, nothing more than the pivot of his body as he pulls back and then lunges forward. So much for his usual restraint. ]
[ despite his senses being honed from years of experience, he doesn't expect wriothesley to follow-through on his words. it's not that he looked down on him, or thought him incapable, but he genuinely believed him to be more rational. perhaps, even cautious— he presumed it came with the territory of his position.
that said, these are all reasons why he doesn't fully expect the man to fall into stance. nor, does he expect him to launch his fist in his general direction. so much so that ywuwon had even tore his eyes away for a few brief moments (probably get more soap??), before he feels the contact of his fist. while he instantly moves his head back slightly, he doesn't actually evade it, getting the brunt of it square in the face. he can taste he touch of copper in his mouth, before his brows knit together in irritation.
did he really just fucking punch him in the face? ]

but, it's true that normally he probably could have brushed this off as a bout of anger on the other man's part. but, another more dominant part of him thinks it wouldn't do to just let this go, either.
he doesn't know when was the last time someone actually managed to rile him up like this. choking wriothesley out in the hot springs didn't count, unlike this time. he lifts up his own arms and also throws a jab, followed up with a punch aiming for wriothesley's ribs.
