[ Lucy's struck for what to do during her downtime. And, as much as she abhors the thought, what better way to kill time than by going to her day job? I mean, they gave her a civilian name and everything for a reason. Might as well use it to stave off boredom, right?

So throughout the week, anyone who happens to walk into a particular coffee shop will see Lucy, or Momiji Akagawa, doing her best to make complicated influencer orders or those adorable 3D latte foam animals. The key words here are "doing her best" because such artwork is a skill and skills take time to master.

Please do her a kindness and order a black coffee, a caramel macchiato, or any the sandwiches instead. ]

Still, three lattes isn't too ridiculous of an order. It's just the same thing over and over, and she can do that! And based on the overall look of the customer...

Two shots of espresso for each. Looks like she needs it. ]

[ At that moment her eyes lay at the ad for the 3D latte foam which causes a slight delay in her response. ]

Yeah, sure. Are you taking requests for this or is it always the same cat or whatever?

She does her best to hide her disdain and only manages it by focusing on her work with latte #2. ]

There are a couple different animals, but the simpler, the better.

Lucy watches her for a second, silent. She weighs the options of still trying or just making a splatterfest in the cafe, but the latter thought only lasts a second.

She can't. It's not worth it.

The pinkette turns back to the lattes to start on the third. She'll do the foam for them all at the same time, she figures. ]

Whatever.

[ Time to shove an entire human into the human blender. The human being Han Sooyoung herself. ]

I bet you're not getting a lot of tips, poor thing.

Gratuities are insulting.

[ Or so her manager said. Not as if she's paid less anyway, but extra money? She wouldn't turn it down unless it's to make a point.

She starts on the first latte, and despite her unsure movements, the shape does look like a cartoon animal. At first. Until she adds another lump on top of the base, then another with a swirl on it. Then cat ears. Then the coffee to stain a cute little cat face, point the ears.

When she turns it around, the foam creature is an actual cartoon pile of shit with cat ears. And a serviceably cute cat face. ]

[ An excellent example of reverse psychology... enjoy your tip Lucky, because Sooyoung is here to spare a whopping amount of 1 krypto as a tip. ]

[ Not even trying to hide her intentions at this point. ]

[ Considering how utterly friendly Sooyoung has been until now, Lucy made sure to turn off the node that allows for payment. So that fat 1 Krypto tip just bounces back with an error message.

It's peace of mind to let her keep right on what she's doing with the other two lattes. Much like the first, these two are also made in the shape of cartoon shitpiles. However, one has droopy ears(?) and the other has rounded ears. A dog and a bear? Maybe? It's hard to tell for sure. ]

[ Sooyoung being Sooyoung isn't going to mention that the payment was unsuccessful. 1 Krypto isn't much but if the system throws an error it must be a sign. Not that she would know that it was done on purpose. ]

[ It might seem that this terrible interaction is about to come to an awaited end. Sooyoung turns on her heels but after taking one step forward, she looks at Lucy from behind her shoulder. ]

[ It's a good thing looks can't kill. That's what Lucy's face appears to be saying. Her dead-eyed, stony face. Expression never shifting even as she opens her mouth. ]
