[And this is a job he needs to finish, regardless of who stands before him.]
Step aside. Or die.

To the side, yes, but-- ]
If you're going to prevent me from looking into this, you might as well try to stab me now and get it out of your system.
no subject
[His patience is short, as it is. Do the job. Kill them all. Get the password.]
[He moves forward, before he lunges, gladius side-swiping to try to knock her directly into the chest.]
no subject
Don't think you'd believe me if I told you what I was doing here in the first place.
[ She probably wouldn't have, at least. Not until he'd proven himself. ]
no subject
Oh? Try me.
[Even as he's trying to kill her.]
no subject
Well, good to know he was always this fierce, she supposes. Nice to see when in comparison to the sad guy at the bar. ]
I was sleeping and woke up here. You're a lot younger than I remember you, Red Gaze.
no subject
[He jumps back, even if it means landing on the arm of a body - he doesn't trip, but his weight smashes it under his heels as his gaze holds steady.]
[She must be a higher level Fixer. He can tell by her movement. But that doesn't mean anything.]
[He moves forward, regardless. Now he's moving in again for a heavy strike down to her shoulder.]
What the hell do you mean, "younger"?
no subject
And the you I know is older, simply that. Well, this is probably just in your subconscious right now, so having you believe me is gonna be next to impossible.
[ Which is why she's more or less resigned herself to this fight. ]
no subject
[She buffets him. He won't stand down, trying to use the advantage of making her back up to try to launch a flurry of strikes to make her that much off balance.]
You speak nonsense.
no subject
[ Well, she didn't expect him to stand down. Honestly, she'd be more surprised if he did, but this is a little too much like her last stand to be any kind of comfortable for her. And for that reason, Gebura doesn't budge, meeting every strike, pushing back. Her stance seems to have solidified, rooting her to the ground. ]
no subject
[No, she raises a good point. He furrows his eyebrows, now noticeably confused.]
[She's standing strong. She's no regular Fixer, that's for sure. Even so, he's moving forward to try to hook his ankle behind hers, using his muscles to give it a yank to try to get her to trip backwards.]
If it isn't reality, what is?
no subject
[ But he surges forward and yanks--and this time, she stumbles, but she also fists his shirt because if she's going down, so is he.
Bonding! ]
no subject
[TIMBER. DOWN THEY GO]
[He's absolutely trying to get out of her grip PLEASE LET GOOOO]
What? So what?! You're time traveling, or some nonsense? Answer me!!
no subject
[ This is snapped out and no she has latched on, he started it. They can wrestle on the floor amongst the dead bodies, it's fine. ]
no subject
[He stabs his gladius to the side of her, wrangling himself up to his knees...]
[Before he falls back on them, huffing. He's gritting his teeth, unamused.]
...What nonsense. So tell me. If you say the truth. How should one wake up from it?
no subject
[ As she pushes herself up on her elbows, also huffing. They're so dignified. ]
no subject
Eh?
[Now that's getting him to look very quizzically at her.]
A crush. [are you /j or /srs]
no subject
[ She wishes! She wishes she was /j!!!! ]

[He grimaces, like he wants to retort, but falls silent, instead.]
[He casts his heavy gaze to the bodies around them, almost a bit lost, before he asks, quietly.]
Do you ever get lonely?
no subject
Hey can she leave now ]
Even I can't do everything on my own.
no subject
[What a joke.]
What a damn joke. We're really not made for companionship.
no subject
Maybe not. But I think if there are people who want to stick around despite that... it's worth something. If it happens, we're probably the least likely people to take it for granted.
