[Hello, fellow member of Brimstone.

A day or after you arrive, someone will come knock on your door.

Well, technically, first he grabs the handle and tries to open the door. There's a pause and then the knock. It's not a soft, inquiring knock, it's an energetic knock that goes on much longer than really necessary, like it's done by someone who doesn't understand a knock is a request and not a summons.

If you answer the knock, or come across him knock on yours/a day, he'll drop his hand and look at you with an amused curiosity.]

So. Who are you then?

[Yup, that's it. That's the important question at the center of all this knocking.]

Not really. My job was covert. Though I did participate in a fight against a fellow angel while I was maintaining my cover.

[He considers the next statement.]

Though one of my brethren Zeruel had found a shape with incredible power and did significant damages to the human base. Does that satisfy your boredom?

Humanity stole the earth from my kind. And so we are locked in conflict to determine who will live on the earth in the future, even though we are similar beings. I was wondering if conflict was inevitable with humans.

[Clearly not. Interesting. He shrugs a little.]

Though I don't dislike humans. I find them interesting.

Mm, I think at the end of the day, it doesn't matter what people are. The strong will move on while the weak don't.

[ grins. ]

That somethin' you agree with?

[He returns the grin. It's slightly unsettling.]

So, Nagisa-san then... what kind of skills do you have? Or, I guess what I'm asking is why do you think you were brought here along with the rest of us?

[Friendship or otherwise, it would probably be beneficial to know what his teammates are capable of in terms of combat or even just in general, if they're meant to be working together somehow on this particular team...]

Kind of! [ He stares up at him. ] I don't dislike humans, you know. There is a little girl that suffers a lot for them. She wants a means to coexist with them. I like her enough to want the same. Even if they're stupid and hypocritical morons.

[ Wrapping his arms around his sides, he giggles and laughs to himself, like he made a good joke. ] You're just made to do these things. Do you have someone that is your reason to be nice to others? Or just built nice?

Hmm. Perhaps because I was raised to pilot giant robots and fight aliens from birth.

Or maybe it's because I'm an angel.

[His voice lilts as if to add "who can say?" at the end. Because he doesn't know LILITH but he's quite certain it's much like SEELE and they have reasons and plans and all of the recruits will be left in the dark.

[thundercrashes]

[Okay, that sure was not what Manjoume was expecting to hear coming out of the other boy's mouth. He gives Kaworu a very obvious once-over here, clearly trying to look for something off about his appearance, before he speaks.]

You don't look like an angel to me. I mean, aren't angels supposed to have wings and halos, or other stuff like that?

( ok. hmmm. well. he can understand that... like... a little too well. what differs them is truly kaworu's lack of betrayal, huh. )

Your dislike doesn't sound very convincing. ( wdym people don't just hate someone with a burning passion and revolve their entire lives into seeking revenge ) But a certain someone I know would say there's nothing wrong with that. I call that mindset foolish. That will only make you an easier target to mess with.

Perhaps that's how humans conceive of them. But even then, it wasn't always humans thought of angels.

[He extends his arms a little, palms forward, as if presenting himself.]

Angels were messengers from the divine. Gruesome creatures that burned your eyes when you gazed upon them. And so, believing my people to be the messengers of humanity's end, they deemed us "angels".

[thundercrashes]

Uh-huh...

[Manjoume raises an eyebrow, but otherwise shrugs.]

Well, angel or whatever, it doesn't particularly matter here, does it? Unless you're actually planning to end humanity, then it would definitely be a problem since we're supposed to be working together in this place to, you know, not do that.
