[OPEN] knockin' on heaven's door
WHO: Kaworu Nagisa and fellow members of Brimston.
WHAT: Being a nosy little brat
WHERE: Brimstone Dorm
WHEN: Soon after arrival
WARNINGS: Nothing now. Will warn if anything comes up.
[Hello, fellow member of Brimstone.
A day or after you arrive, someone will come knock on your door.
Well, technically, first he grabs the handle and tries to open the door. There's a pause and then the knock. It's not a soft, inquiring knock, it's an energetic knock that goes on much longer than really necessary, like it's done by someone who doesn't understand a knock is a request and not a summons.
If you answer the knock, or come across him knock on yours/a day, he'll drop his hand and look at you with an amused curiosity.]
So. Who are you then?
[Yup, that's it. That's the important question at the center of all this knocking.]
((OOC: Feel free to use this post for anything Brimstone related. I am just very busy this weekend and wanted to toss something up in case I miss the text mingle.
Freel free to hit me up at PM,
worldtype/worldtype at Discord for anything!))

Really? Not even a "hello"?
[ the hell kind of greeting is that, ]
no subject
Is a greeting that important?
no subject
Obviously. Well, not compared to actual introductions, but it helps in improving my first impression of you.
no subject
[As though you can vend answers by paying greetings.]
no subject
Sure. Gimme your best shot.

kaworu my boy.....
all in all, well - at least wanderer answers the door... though he does so while harnessing anemo in one of his hands in case he has to blast it at whoever tried to get into his room without permission. he's greeted, instead, with the sight of a boy who barely looks like a fighter, and wanderer disperses the void of anemo gathered in his palm. )
Hmph. Of course someone who tries to break into someone else's room doesn't understand basic manners. Why should I tell you anything when I don't know who you are?
here's karl...
[Just because it was a total afterthought should not negate the fact that it was done! Apparently.]
Because we're teammates. And that means we're supposed to work together.
[And so it means you should answer his questions.]
here comes best boy!!
why does everyone he comes across want to work together. does wanderer look like someone who works together with anyone??? )
Introduce yourself first before you ask for anyone else's name.
( is that too much to ask for? apparently. )
best of da worst
I'm Kaworu Nagisa.
And you are?
that's truly what makes him the best tbh
wanderer sighs, giving in. )
I don't have a name. Call me whatever you like.

so when he does open his door, he's... immediately suspicious. ]
Why.
[ like. why, bro. he was in a deep nap sesh ]

[So clearly, this is a personal and not a strategic move.]

Name's Leona.
[ continues to glare. ]

Pavia tilts his head at the door - hearing the jiggling of the handle and wonder if some fool has come to try to kill him. This is a very normal and not at all strange response to have!
Ah, well. Let's see what they have on them. He already is musing on what trinket that he is going to take as a souvenir. Idly, he hopes the person has a ring. He naturally lost all of his when he was summoned.
Opening the door, he blinks. ]
Hah? [ He says a little louder. ] Pavia. [ His eyes roll up, thinking. ] Not much of a hitman if you don't know where your prey is hiding. But I guess I'm not the one that you're hunting.
[ Stepping back, he opens the door: ] Come in, come in. Since you wanted in so badly, it seems wrong not to offer you a seat.
no subject
I'm Kaworu Nagisa.
What's a "hitman"?
no subject
[ Pavia stands there for a second and tosses out his snide comments. Comments that he is saying out into an empty hallway rather than snipping at the young man's back. Because, even though he offered, he's surprised that the offer was accepted with little to no hesitation.
Still, with a flick of his wrist, the door closes and he follows after to find his own seat. ]
And a hitman. It's you, isn't it? [ He tilts his head. ] Perhaps not. [ And he switches back to answering. ] Well, it's an assassin. A person that comes to kill someone on the orders of someone else. Usually for money.
[ A beat. ] Usually for stupid reasons, too. [ Ha-ha-ha. ]
So, Kaworu. What business do you have with me?
no subject
That seems like a strange thing to do for money. But humans do seem to care about money very much.
[That's why they work in stores and such even if they don't like it.]
My business is that I want to know about the people who were recruited for this mission like I was. I have never been part of a team or worked much with others and I want to learn what it's like.
no subject
[ He makes small gestures with his hands as he talks, waving them lightly in the air and pointing at the ceiling at words that he feel are important. ]
That so? I've been part of a lot of teams. My poor teammates always have complaints about it. I wonder what you will complain about first... since it's your first time working with a group. [ Throwing his head back, he laughs - sharp and loud. He pauses and blinks - staring up above him. ]
Still... you use the word 'humans.' That's interesting. Are you also an arcanist?

Oh hey, it's that one guy from the welcome party...?]
Seriously? That's what you were knocking so loudly for?
[Did Manjoume seriously forget to exchange names already at the party? ... Actually, given what they had been talking about at said party, the answer to this is likely a yes.]
no subject
[He does recognize this guy. But at the same time... apparently doesn't find that it's worth mentioning! The fact that their failure to exchange names is a bit unusual has gone over his head.]
no subject
Manjoume Jun. And you are?
no subject
Since we're teammates and had a previous meeting, we should be friends.
[RIGHT TO THE CHASE.]
no subject
[However, despite the offer of friendship, Manjoume doesn't step aside to allow Kaworu entry yet as he squints at the other.]
Is that the only reason you want to be friends? Just because it would be easier if we were while we're also on the same team here?
