[Hello, fellow member of Brimstone.

A day or after you arrive, someone will come knock on your door.

Well, technically, first he grabs the handle and tries to open the door. There's a pause and then the knock. It's not a soft, inquiring knock, it's an energetic knock that goes on much longer than really necessary, like it's done by someone who doesn't understand a knock is a request and not a summons.

If you answer the knock, or come across him knock on yours/a day, he'll drop his hand and look at you with an amused curiosity.]

So. Who are you then?

[Yup, that's it. That's the important question at the center of all this knocking.]

[Well! This isn't working. There's a bit of sulking mixed in the with the gears turning of trying to come up with a name. The gears are turning so hard in his little brain.]

I'll call you "No Name" for now while I try to think of something that would be a proper name.

( kaworu... isn't that the same as just being called nameless, to begin with? but fine, fine. wanderer did ask, and he did, in a way, receive. at the very least, he doesn't look at all bothered. if anything - he's thinking on it, as though trying to find a way to make it less... annoying, to deal with. )

Then how about Nanashi? Easier to say than 'No Name'.

( at this point that's already a name in itself, but ok. )

If that's the language you prefer. Otherwise, the name would be namenlos in German, which is the first language I learned to speak. So I'm fond of it in an odd way.

[Still! He looks pleased. In his mind, this conversation has gone very well. Because it's gone better than any other conversation he's ever had. Don't trip over the bar, Nanashi.]

Like I said, call me whatever you like. You're the one who's going to be saying it, not me. If you prefer it to be in a language you know, then so be it.

( whatever german is!! he has no preference no matter what, for names are just that easily replaceable, forgotten and discarded. still - a part of him feels good, at knowing he has a name again. even if it translates to no name.

You're not supposed to decline, you're supposed to agree and that's how we get to know each other.

That's not how it works. ( not that he'd.. know... that well, but ) What happens when you get to know someone and you don't like their personality? You're going to break the friendship, just like that?

No idea. I haven't decided. I would have to know what it's like to dislike someone like that before I know what I would do.

I've never really hated anyone for my own reasons. Or learned I disliked them. All of the conflict I've had with others is because of who were. So it was more predestination than choice. Of course, I'd dislike the old men that created me for their own purposes. Or the First Child for being similar to me and yet having what I wanted.

I don't know why I might dislike someone otherwise.

( ok. hmmm. well. he can understand that... like... a little too well. what differs them is truly kaworu's lack of betrayal, huh. )

Your dislike doesn't sound very convincing. ( wdym people don't just hate someone with a burning passion and revolve their entire lives into seeking revenge ) But a certain someone I know would say there's nothing wrong with that. I call that mindset foolish. That will only make you an easier target to mess with.
