What do you think?
(Of the champagne? He'd downed most of the glass so fast, he wonders if he even tasted it,)
If you don't like it, I'll finish it and you can order something else.
(Propping the menu up,)
You should have things you like.

Not as bad as mud water (translation: coffee) but it's ... not good either.
[ he will not mock something that was presented to him as a gift, out of respect for tsuru. he did, however, take the other's recommendation to heart and offered him his glass. following the tradition of mimicking movies, he knew what he wanted to try next without browsing the menu this time. he nods towards the bartender-] Give me some red wine.
[ is it a common drink in a bar? maybe not. but, it's something he'd seen people drink when they want to 'relax'. he smiled at his drinking buddy, still amused he's allowing this. man, aki will be soooooo mad. ] So, what's your favorite drink? I would want to try it next.

This one, too.
(And he points to a colorful looking picture of a drink. Looking back at Denji,)
Alcohol? (He asks like Denji might be asking about something else instead.) It isn't at this bar but I saw it at a restaurant somewhere else.
(Okay, but is he going to share what it is????)
When we get back home, we can try something better.
(And the bartender pours him a glass of red and slides it over to which Tsurumaru passes it to Denji. They then pour a glass of sangria for Tsurumaru.)

[ the sangria that is, both matching in red, looking fancy as hell. denji begs for a 'cheers', clinking their glasses together before they go in for a taste. the flavor of red wine? denji would rate it 5/10 - not too bad, not too great. not his favorite. tsuru ends up finishing it off for him, while denji returns the favor by going in for the other man's drink.
the bartender can see it already. the consequences of bad choices unfolding before his eyes, and as he expected— they're ordering more drinks. yet denji's request is a bit odd this time, no longer using the menu as a reference. ]
I want .... one of those drinks where you set them on fire. Don't lie to me. I've seen you do it before. [ he glances at tsuru, nodding. ] It's real. Real fire. It's badass.

Fire?
(Tsurumaru looks up from his glass, clearly confused. This is the first he's heard of this and he looks over at the bartender who looks at him like he's supposed to be the responsible adult right now.)
Do you have it?
(The bartender stares and they just..... nod.... slowly...)
I want to see.
(That's it. That's the order. It's done and the bartender sort of sputters and asks if he's sure.)
Just one is fine.
(THAT ISNT WHAT THEY WERE ASKING.... but they can't argue??? Maybe. Tsurumaru looks over to Denji,)
What about the last one?
(What did he think about the sangria? Just small talk while the bartender (unfortunately) starts preparing their next drink.)

[ there's an easy smile on his lips, and denji closes his eyes while resting his head against his hand and seemingly in a 'good' mood. the little exchange between tsuru and the bartender was amusing, and he understood why the employee was doubtful. tsuru will understand shortly, too.
after all, creating that drink alone is a performance they both shouldn't miss. that's when denji looked up, as the show started.
he then drops a hand on the other man's shoulder, grinning. ]
Are you suuuure you're ready for this?
[ denji, you're tipsy already. you should worry about yourself! ]

Looking over at Denji now as the bartender slides the drink over with the ice on top.)
... Are you?
(Thunk. The ice falls into the glass.)
no subject
[ this line alone just dropped his age from 19 to 12 in a heartbeat. regardless, denji will take a moment to admire the drink before his eyes, going all 'oooh' when the ice drops, mesmerized by the beauty of it. gosh, he can't recall the last time he was that excited, it was probably when he was about to (nsfw thoughts) that night.
right, he won't waste another second. he lifts the glass with both hands, careful not to spill anything as he goes for it, and instantly he's struck with that strong sting of a flavor. woah, the deadly mix of vodka and rum on his virgin palate was a crime; swallowing it was even worse. denji clutched his eyes shut, pursed his lips, and immediately started shaking his head.
nope. nope, nope fucking nope.
...
then, he swallowed; coughing a bit. ]
Aughh. [ he slams the glass on the table and clears his throat, voice rough. ] Yeah, don't do it. Don't drink this. This ... this is too damn strong.

Reaching over to take it,)
Maybe something better to wash it down?
(He'll finish whatever is left of this... some how.)
no subject
the bartender gives him a knowing, tired stare that translates to "i told you so". and, somehow, denji knew he would never see that man ever again. no more bars, and no more drinks. despite this awful assault on his tastebuds, denji did end up smiling. ]
Fuck. I thought I was going to vomit ... but, the crisis was averted.
[ he chuckles a bit. ]
That's one meeeeean drink.
no subject
There, there.
(He smiles back at him,)
That's enough, Denji-kun. (He can be responsible.) Let's get you some water.
(The bartender is already pouring them both a glass and shoving it their way.)
Drink this. You'll be glad for it later.
no subject
[ nothing should come in right now, not even water. denji shakes his head in mild protest, but— not to break tsuru's heart, he takes a tiny sip and gulps it down. it wasn't so bad, but it wasn't so great either.
he then turns on his chair, making a half-spin before facing the other man. ]
Okay, but I drank fire. Like ... real fire. That was super badass. The most badass thing I have ever done. Were you impressed by it?
no subject
(He'll tell Denji whatever he wants to hear. It was an exciting moment and he deserves to celebrate it even if he's concerned. And he'll pat him on the cheek for reassurance, too.)
You should lay down, Denji-kun. You've had a lot to drink.
