WHAT: The Royal Gala (citation needed)
WHERE: "Ruby Room," an event hall in Neo Tokyo.
WHEN: 10th day of September.

Throughout the week leading up to the event, every Outsider will have received an elaborate invitation in a wax-sealed envelope. Each letter will be relatively unique, but ultimately seems to carry the same contents:

Whether people attend out of a sense of obligation, out of suspicion in finding more about the event (and by extension, what it entails), or even simply as an excuse to dress up and raise ones spirits— all is welcome. While no theme is established, one could likely surmise from the envelopes that the colors of the venue will be predominately decorated in reds, black, and golds.
No matter where one looks, the entire hall has been intricately decorated. While the vast majority of the venue appears to mirror what one would see in a palace, including all the pillars and seemingly expensive items put on display, if one peer through their oculars, they will find it is designed much like ones room upgrades are: through technology. Though, a smaller percentage of some of the items appear delicately handmade, including the lace on the dining tables thanks to some assistance. It is as much the decadent scenery as one could envision, even if to some degree, it's fake. But, listen, they do technically have some sort of budget.
Additionally, as specified on the invitation, as soon as anyone walks through the doors of the venue, and have their names announced (per course of a royal celebration)— if they are wearing a mask, they will find that their identities are obscured from others. This includes their appearance and voice, which may appear blurry or slightly different to what it usually is. This is because the venue itself casts an affect on anyone wearing a mask, making them completely anonymous to one another. However, the illusion is quick to break if one just removes their mask!
Aside from the mystery of the masks, there will also be several other forms of entertainment available for the night:
Perhaps, these events and how elaborate the venue is at least makes up the lack of food items. While there are food, they are kept rather simple. Maybe in light of recent events, it was decided they keep it within means. While the food may appear fancy or delicious, they will be made with what is similar to ration bars, but in varying flavors. To make up for it, the main dish, however will be a delicious mystery meat. No one knows where it comes from, or what it's made of.
There will also be several speeches throughout the night, and perhaps you may also feel inclined to make your own before a toast? Whichever the case, surely no one is here for Callisto's speeches, at least.

As with any gala, there will naturally be music and dancing throughout the night. Soft music will play throughout the venue and will include several tunes. If not, if they open their oculars, they will find several guides passive aggressively attached to a folder dropped to all Outsiders called "Educate yourselves" made by yours truly. They do, however, appear to be fairly good guide videos, even if they are made through AI, and may even utilize your own face? Oops.
2. GARDEN MAZE
There will be a section in another room of the venue that is labeled as being a maze. When one enters, they will find themselves surrounded by extremely tall shrubs, or what appears to be that. Instead, it is much like a virtual escape room. The point is to find the exit that will lead them back to the dance hall. However, it won't be so easy. Hopefully no one loses their partner for the night in here.
3. SECRET PASSAGEWAYS
If one explores the maze deeply, they will find that the main hall isn't the only place it leads to, instead they will discover that there are several hidden passageways that lead to secret rooms. Perhaps, it was made to provide some people some privacy. Privacy appropriate for such a demure and mindful event, that is.
4. FIREWORKS
At the end of night, there will also be a firework show. Considering that actual fireworks weren't permitted even during the festival period, it's reasonable to say there will be no real fireworks here. However, what guests will get is a VR firework show at the end of the night. Perhaps, not an entirely poor way to end it.

The big guy lifts his moth mask off his face to remove the effect and greets Lucy with a smile and a wave. He's getting better at that smiling thing, there's a lot less teeth than usual. ]
Friend Kaede, it is as pleasant to see you. You have adorned yourself well. [ And look at that not even asking about the food first, instead he's inclining his head in a respectful nod. ] Your time has been enjoyable so far, I would hope?

[ The Unreasonably Large order of literally 12 pounds doesn't even strike Godzilla as heavy when he takes it in hand. Not like anyone expected it to, freaky strong lizard thing that he is. ]
I confess, such evens are not within my fort's tea either. [ forte. ] When humans gathered round me in the past it was in a veneration, being amongst the crowd is a far different cauldron of scaled swimmers. [ kettle of fish. ] It is... different. Thought not entirely unpleasant.

[ He gets quiet for a moment there, looking down at the ground. Then he shakes his head ruefully, repositions himself to stand astride the nearby table, and turns off his cloak.
And there he is. 10ft of friendly radioactive lizard, suit gone, but formality no less embrace. Yes, Lucy, he does in fact sport a bowtie. The reason for his change becomes apparent as well as why he repositioned himself, his tail. He moved so it won't hit the table, and now lifts it up to set the bag of food atop it. ]
Inform me, Friend Kaede, is your fellow Tiamat-kin well? [ As he speaks he opens the bag and retrieves one of the burgers, lifting it up and sniffing curiously. If the pleased rumble in his throat is anything to go by he likes what he's catching. ] She seemed quite confused when we met, she did not recognize your name. It was concerning.

The smile drops to her face instantly at the mention of Nyuu. "Confused," "Tiamat-kin," who else could that be but... And it certainly wasn't the Voice either. Their conversation would be wholly different if it was her. ]

[ She shakes her head slowly before raising a hand up to rub the back of her neck. ]
She's...Nyuu is... [ It's going to sound so ridiculous to say it. So much so that she laughs softly again, more to herself than him. ] She's the other "me."

[ By "other me" she means a twin, he's certain. It's rare for mammals to be born at the same time as their kin but it was his understanding such individuals tended to be close. Rivalry was expected amongst nestmates who hatched together, it is not the same for those of her kind. Perhaps that's the source of her misgiving? ]

[ There's a thoughtful rumble in his head. Troubling, very troubling. To say nothing of the logistical tragedy of two lives having to share one vessel with the short lifespan of humanity, it's uncomfortably close to a concept he's familiar with. Two intelligences, one physical form... but no, no Nyuu was harmless and Kaede, while a capable warrior, is a good heart. Whatever the nature of her circumstances she's his friend, there's no reason to be concerned by this revelation.
He does regret she didn't inform him earlier, of course. Though they haven't been friends that long by either of their kinds' standards, he supposes. It's not as if he's told her of the fate of his species or his own chosen kin. Everyone has that which they wish to keep to themselves, right? ]

[ Memories come back completely unbidden. Thundering skies, strikes of lightning, the atmosphere growing thick. Glaring up at the rival, curiosity, sheer malice, cold confidence staring back from three separate sets of eyes...
Godzilla's by the time Godzilla comes back to himself he's managed to eat the entire burger in two bites. He only gets the tail end of the flavor, frustratingly enough, but it's still quite pleasant. ]

No. She's...different.
[ Lucy taps her finger against her knee before reaching over to a nearby wine glass and bottle. She might as well get some liquid courage to help her explain this, or so she tells herself while pouring. ]
She appeared when I was very young, very troubled...and very afraid. [ She pauses to set the bottle back on the table. ] She told me...it was my right to kill humans, to replace them, to pay them back for the misery they gave me since I was born.
[ She looks down at her glass but doesn't drink from it right away. Instead, she chews her lip, thinking. She could start from the beginning and go into more detail, but that's too sensitive a topic for their current environment. ]
She's ruled by hatred, and she's dangerous. She fought Bakugou before and...to stop her, he broke my horns. That forced her back again. She's been quiet since then. Since I came here, really. I think my death before coming here might have something to do with it.

I am very old, time is a thing I have in abundance. I shall make it available when it is agreeable for you. You are young with much life left to live, regardless of if you have seen the end once already. Go experience it, enjoy it, build your own legends upon it.
[ Another chuckle and a shake of his head. He thinks about patting the horned girl's head but decides against it, she went through some trouble to make it look nice it seems. Instead he reaches out with the hand he hasn't been using to eat, gently grasping her shoulder, his tone turns more serious, his usually resounding voice lowering. ]
One thing, however. I have noticed your own... slight distaste for them, the humans. I have witnessed their lowest as well as their highest, I cannot begrudge these feelings to you. Yet I wish for you to know something. [ He squeezes her shoulder reassuringly. ] The more I have grown to know you the more I have seen your spirit, your heart. It holds more in common with Titans than humans. It is good, it is strong, you hold much potential in it. Of most import it is yours, do not allow others undo influence, not even one that dwells within your own body.

He'll make time for her. When she wants to talk, he'll be there. Like it's no trouble at all. And he says it knowing she's not "normal." He says it knowing she doesn't like humans save for maybe the ones around them and that she doesn't have any special impetus to protect them other than her own self interests.
She's not a broken mess even through all of that? He still sees potential? Potential, and the heart of a Titan, like himself. ]
