[ So very dry. If that's the most aggravating thing about Siffrin (revised as of today, replacing "acts mysteriously like he can't fight very well"), it could very well be worse. ]

[ They won't really make her listen to them if she doesn't appreciate them. But there's a lack of things to say after that, really, or ones that get stuck in their throat, clawing, bleeding, unable to unstick themselves.

... It's fine. Gebura doesn't mind the quiet. It isn't like Siffrin's in danger of falling asleep either. Far too awake. Even if it seems like they might, similar to the rowboat. ]

[ Siffrin will get his hand back as Gebura moves to rip off a section from her shirt, a lower strip. Nothing expensive, no big deal. No one is here to stop this. ]

The bleeding's more or less stopped, anyway. This should be enough for now.

A quiet nod. Okay. They can stay here a little longer now, sorely missing one point of warmth and trying to work out if it's too awkward to reach for it again... does it get worse the longer Siffrin waits? Yes. But even at the start, they're wondering if maybe... maybe if they go palm up, Gebura might put her palm on that, and go back to holding their hand, or maybe she'll just keep it in her lap and they'll look like a discreet fool, and that's okay since it isn't an obvious motion, and really aren't they happy enough with just the lean against her?

[ I wish I could say she was aware of his inner turmoil, but sadly, she is not. The strip of fabric is tied one-handedly over the gash, though it's not exactly a secure hold when done one-handedly, so she silently holds out her hand in a request for Siffrin to finish the job. Inconvenient placement for an injury, but it was either her palm or Siffrin's life.

Which would have been fine, apparently, but she's glad she caught the dagger in time. ]

Gebura blinks slightly at the bow, but then there's that light, warm weight against her again and she's a little more accustomed to it. At least enough not to flinch, to stay where she is. ]

She's silent for a moment, then slowly offers her uninjured hand. Because she really... does need to get better at this. During quiet moments like this one. ]

If you fall asleep again, you'd better not be faking it.

Siffrin tries not to take her hand too quickly. It is a little awkward instead, slow and plopping into hers. ]
