LILITH's hangar is a wonderland of mechanical delights, if you're some kind of robot nerd. Beyond the base's personnel transport, fleet of camper vans and a bevy of personal vehicles, there are GIANT ROBOTS. Or...they were giant robots. Now they're considerably smaller. But still cool!!

With robots come pilots, tending to their mechs or checking out everyone else's, or maybe just chillaxing in here if they need a moment's peace. Of course, being that the hangar is open, pilots aren't the only Outsiders in here; anyone can just waltz on in and ogle whatever is here. (Tampering with the robots is ill-advised, however.)

[Admittedly, Dearka is watching his investigation closely while feeling some mild trepidation, but... If Godzilla was fine, this one probably will be too? He doesn't wanna be kaiju racist :/]

It holds up well enough. Just gotta try not to get hit by anything, heh.

[Simple! Also the easiest answer, if a bit of a lie! The Buster actually got fucked up pretty badly by a kaiju on the last mission!]

There's a cockpit in the center there where all the controls are. That's where the magic happens.

Gigan lightly raps his claw against the Buster's chest, not hard enough to do anything more than make a little clang.]

You've gotta be able to take a hit or two! No wonder Yzak won't let me chase him around in this thing. He knows I'd take it down! But better I do it than some other kaiju who'll really make you pay for taking a hit.

[OK, fair. Godzilla being fine is a matter of wild and intense debate.

Dearka arches an eyebrow at Gigan's comment.]

I wouldn't underestimate Yzak, if I were you. But also, uhh... No offense pal, when you asked if it could take a hit from a kaiju, I assumed you were talkin' about the big ones that LILITH sends us to fight. You're not exactly in the same weight class.

Maybe not right now, but that doesn't mean I couldn't do some damage! Besides, that's the point! If he's so confident he can go up against the big ones, he shouldn't have an issue going up against me. Get it? The same goes for you!

[Because obviously the only reason Yzak wouldn't want to be chased around is because he's afraid. We all know this about Yzak, who in all other circumstances, absolutely loves being chased around.]

[Dearka considers this seriously for a moment. Then he breaks into an easy grin and leans back against the Buster, arching an eyebrow up at Gigan.]

Heh. Alright, but you realize there's a pretty big difference between "going up against" someone, and agreeing to be hunted. Right? And let's be real, the latter is more what I'm getting from the phrase "chasing around".

[He gives a lazy, lopsided shrug.]

My point being: you'll probably have more luck if you just ask him to spar in the sim sometime instead.

[He winks. God help us all.]

Something which I'd also be happy to take you up on, if you just so happened to ask.

Spar, huh? I wouldn't even know where to start doing that with a human.

[Not because he's totally disinterested, but, well. Gigan gives Dearka an eye up and down, which he tips his head for, so it's not as subtle as it might be otherwise on his inexpressive face.]

It takes a special kind of human to take a swing at me! You really think you're up for that? I wasn't built to go easy on anyone or anything. That's for people, not weapons!

[Dearka is probably suggesting sparring using his mech, but Gigan is definitely imagining just getting kicked at by a human and them severing their own limbs.]

[Yeah sorry to spoil that hilarious mental image Gigan, but Dearka's quick to correct it (with a slightly exasperated expression on his face, too:)]

Uh, I meant while I'm using my mobile suit? I'd rather not go hand to... Claw with whatever you've got going on there. [He gestures, and also chuckles, trying to keep the mood light.] Like, I'm no pushover, but I'm also not an idiot. Maybe I'll think about it, if you go and put some tennis balls on those spikes first, or something.

That'd be no fun.

[He nudges playfully at Dearka again, the blunt of a claw pushing lightly at his shoulder. It's a joke! It's true, but also a joke.]

But I don't wanna kill either of you. Here I thought you really were crazy! Yeah, sure, I'll take on the robot sometime! I'm not gonna go easy just because robots aren't as fun to fight though.

[Dearka is jostled, very slightly, by that light claw push, purely because of how big Gigan is. He is reeling a little bit; the personality difference between this guy and Godzilla... Night and day.

He remembers now, too: this is the guy was on the network. They talked about stickers. And trolley problems. He's pretty sure this is the same guy, at least... Unless there's a THIRD monster/kaiju/titan/whatever running around that he's not yet aware of.

He grins.]

Honestly, I'd be insulted if you did go easy. Underestimate a mobile suit at your own peril, my guy.
