@BAD DADDY
See>? They seem fine. I don't know why everyone was so panicked.

@red-gaze
there may have been no apparent danger at the time outside of being brought to a new place. regardless we have something to work with now
no subject
Correct. It means we have time to be reasonable about this.
[ Because of course he wants all of their allies back. Of course he'll help. (He will not.)]

but you're as cynical as me
i don't think you would expect them to be pleasurably having a party where they are
no subject
I certainly don't think they're off to an enjoyable jaunt. However, I think they also can care for themselves. Unless we hear otherwise, they may be perfectly fine.

@IcyHot
Normally people don't get kidnapped, or taken and have to send encrypted messages. Things like this can be very distressing. There are undoubtedly people who are friends, maybe even loved ones, who have been taken. It's stressful. That's why they're panicked. It's only natural. If you have any further questions I'll try to answer them.
no subject
Is it? Never experienced kidnapping before?
Well, perhaps they should get used to it, I doubt it will be the last time. Personally, I still don't think it's worth throwing a fit over. It's not like anyone who was taken isn't fully capable of handling themselves. After all, we're all asked to fight Kaiju, which is infinitely more dangerous than simply being whisked away.
no subject
It is. Not first hand, but I've been on the end of someone being taken right in front of me. They could take care of themselves, too, but it didn't stop the way I felt. I understand their panic and want to retrieve their friends or family or loved ones.
I don't know if that's true. None of us know how dangerous the threat is unless they're the kidnapper, or the people kidnapped. Sometimes apex predators still have enemies of the same caliber.
1/2
If you're so worried, maybe you should learn to trust the strength of your... friends.
[ a long pause, between messages one and two, because: ]

But, perhaps I simply expect more of people. They should take care of themselves.
no subject
Maybe you're right. If I think back on it, if I think about how I'm talking with personal experience and imposing it on someone else, it's selfish. Selfish want to have them back along side their safety. Or wounded pride that I couldn't protect them. Maybe.
I can't say that's how I feel, but I understand what you're saying I think. It still wouldn't stop me from trying. From your point of view, I can see going for them being a liability. More people, more problems. But I still wouldn't be able to look at myself in the mirror and know I didn't try. In that case, wouldn't that be trusting in myself, too? If you can, I'm not judging you. Everyone is different. Your way may even make more tactical sense.

this isn't about inciting panic, it's just being realistic about the situation at hand.
no subject
I think the realism is that we shouldn't assume too much about who or what has done it, although if you want to blame the villagers, be my guest. I'd love for someone else to say something to make them upset instead of me.

"Fine?"
(Define fine, bad daddy.........)
no subject
At least fine enough that we don't need to be worked up.
[ See, people like Silco are very hard pressed to get worked up about people missing*. (*One exception to this rule.) So he might be more flippant than most outsiders would like. ]
no subject
Does that mean they're half okay and only a quarter fine?
(He can still joke around.)
no subject
Could be. Or they could be asking us not to panic and do anything too rash. Think about who was taken, yes? Think they can hold themselves together long enough for us to at least get ahold of LILITH?
Mind, I'm not interested in saving them, but for those who are... they might want to not rush into things.
[ Hey, at least he's honest about being shitty ]
