Some Outsiders might notice these usernames to be Lucy/Kaede, Taryon, Nanami and Malkuth respectively. The messages end there and there will be no way to contact the senders or anyone who has gone missing. While Outsiders in the town will be able to use the network to speak to each other, the reception will be spotty and the messages might be delayed. It might be more efficient to simply meet up in person.
βΆ AFTERWORD.
The messages from the kidnapped characters are out! Thank you everyone for participating! Non-kidnapped characters may use this log to have discussions (or do whatever else might be relevant). As previously mentioned, after the 7th, they will not be able to contact any kidnapped characters, and their messages to each other will be spotty or delayed (which can make for funny shenanigans if you prefer). It is probably much easier to organise an in-person meeting, but we will leave it to you to do what you like. The townsfolk convene at the church for their daily prayers and worship at about 12 noon every day. Outsiders may use this time away from the townsfolk to have more private discussions.
We have put this up early to allow people more time to thread in it, but ICly it is going up on the 13th and will lead up to the Kaiju log on the 15th. These messages are also delayed. Whether or not the captives actually are 'okay' is up in the air ...

[ Anyone seeing Yuji live and in person might see him actively sobbing. ]

[Though doubtless that, in this situation, the two are very far from each other, Raidou comes to Yuji moments after those messages arrive. No words yet, just arms to envelope him immediately.]
[ There's no real hesitation, even if he might try to protest; Yuji sinks into Raidou's arms instantly, almost collapsing against the other boy, as he starts to sob all the harder. The tears come out of him in little hiccups, his face buried against the other boy, voice hoarse, almost wailing. ]
[Raidou holds him tightly, one hand on the back of his head, as if letting Yuji go means he might fall to pieces. His breathing is even, to the point where it's clearly being held under control. He needs to be strong, to be the rock for Yuji, for those missing, for all of the Outsiders.
He'll let Yuji take as long as he needs. When he can, he will talk to him quietly, still holding him close.]
I think you read his message right. We'll get the skulls. Destroy them. Remove the fog. And then we will get them back.
[He's sure of it. He will make sure of it. If he has to do it himself, he will.]
[ Yuji doesn't seem to be able to let go. He clings, sinking into Raidou as much as he can, feeling the weight of his own grief in his stomach, like a twist of nausea. It's too much for him, and he burns with it, painfully, hurting. ]
I'll do anything. I - Johei... I don't know who I try to help first.
It's alright. I've got you. [It's in the most soothing tone he can muster, which, surprisingly, is effective. When it comes to Yuji, he can tap into that. He can grip Raidou as tight as he needs - he can take it.]
We help whoever we find first. We don't know the situation. But I do know that we will get them all out of there.
[ Both Nanami and Choso are capable of taking care of themselves, can defend themselves, even without powers, but there's still that thrum of fear, that panic that burns inside of him, leaving Yuji feeling twitchy with his anxiety. ]
[He has faith in them. The conflicting messages from Malkuth and Kaede are what get to him, though. Malkuth could easily just trying not to worry them. Or she knows that the rest of the Outsiders would be mounting a rescue operation, and wanted to keep their spirits up that the others were all still alive.
Raidou breathes out, steadying himself.]
And we've been through so much, and are all still standing.
[Slowly, Raidou moves his head so he pull back just enough to sweep aside Yuji's bangs, placing a gentle kiss on his forehead. He looks into his eyes, wiping away tears with a stoke of the thumb. His movements are tender, but there is a burning resoluteness in those cold-colored eyes.]
And I will do everything I can to make sure you will have them back.
[If only he could promise that. Just like how Yuji couldn't promise he wouldn't run off the second there was a chance he could get to the others. Yuji knows this, just how Raidou knows this about Yuji.
His will is for others.]
... They need us. And I'll do what I have to make sure they're okay.
[Right now, though, the priority is keeping Yuji together long enough. Raidou pulls him close again with a gentle hand on his back, forehead against his, eyes closed.]
Breath with me, alright? In and out. Focus on mine.
[ It's hard to get himself under control, to relax, to get himself to breathe in and out, but he tries to focus on Raidou and what he's telling him, eyes prickling. ]
Yeah - yeah. I'll...
[ In, and out. Slowly but surely. Eventually... He sinks into his arms and slumps. ]
[Raidou's got him. And he's going to get him back to bed. Any organizing Raidou agreed to can wait. The others will just have to handle it for the moment. Until Yuji is well enough to get moving again, he's not leaving his side.]
