On Saturday night, every one of the Outsiders is invited to join in a massive group sleepover. It doesn't matter if you know the host or not, all have been sent invitations, with everyone having been requested to bring a pillow and a blanket to help build the fort in which they'll be staying! The library is their chosen venue for its fireplace and wide open space, with the chairs helping to make for a grand cathedral of a sleeping space.

🍷 1. COCKTAILS GALORE
Starting off the evening is a crazy cocktail station, though there's also hot chocolate for those too young and who don't drink. Naturally from there it evolves into classic drinking games such as 'Would You Rather' and 'Never Have I Ever', and 'Paranoia' which are always fun. Just don't get black-out drunk!

⚡ 2. THE SHOCKING TRUTH
From the there the games lead into a round of asking shippy/smut questions, where refusal to answer is punished by things like electroshocks, wearing a silly hat and taking a picture of it for all to see, or eating a mouthful of wasabi. Introducing the Roomba Knife Fight Club! Everyone with a Roomba is invited to bring theirs along for a battle of the ages! Knives and other sharp, pointy objects will be provided by the host, but you're free to bring your own so long as you check them in at the start of the party. Once the designated time rolls around, Roombas will be called by name to face off against a random opponent. The fight is either to the demise of a participant or until their owner cries for mercy!

🛏️ 5. A NIGHT FIGHT
Towards the end of the night, when everything is starting to wind down and turn peaceful, a pillow is thrown. WHUMP. Was it you? That person over there? It doesn't really matter because the fight is ON! Like most battles, it matters not how it starts, but how it ends - will you see to it that you emerge victorious, or shall you become one of the downed victims covered in feathery down?

or so yuwon is already thinking. while he's thought this before, the base really is a gathering of all different kinds of personalities. specifically personalities that seemed fairly rare in the tower, and as result, he longer can muster up the energy to try and parse through these abundant shows of goodwill. abundant by his standards, at least.

the general ease of friendliness reminds him a lot of someone else for a second, and as a result, his own posture seems to ease a little. the tension is his shoulders dissipating by the next time he speaks. ] Yuwon. [ it's curt, but it's clear it's meant as his own introduction in return. ]

It seems like you're doing better today. [ he says as his gaze sweeps across the party, before landing back on yato. ] I'm not not planning to stay for long. But, if it's just a drink, I could do that.

["Friendly" sums Yato up very nicely, and he's happy with that assessment, truthfully.

He wants to make everyone feel welcome here at the sleepover, to give them a chance to interact with new people and make friends. Life on base can be rough at times, so it's important for them to have downtime like this where they can just kick back and relax.

Perking up as Yuwon relaxes and introduces himself, Yato nods in acknowledgement with a sheepish laugh.]

Heh, yeah! It helps that the damn style chip is behaving. And I've forgone the damn thing to just wear real clothes. [He tugs on his ridiculous onesie in a pleased fashion.] Hey, no worries! That's the joy of sleepovers - you can stay as long or as little as you like. So pony up to the bar as it were and have something to warm you up! I know I am.

Real clothes... [ the comical silence as he looks over yato's current outfit. ]

[ while he doesn't have any commentary, he does seem to move on easily enough. ] Yeah, at least you have clothes on. There are worse glitches.

[ which he personally knows of, but he doesn't necessarily want to delve that deeply into something that occurred months ago. still, whatever judgment he may have had seemed to be mitigated by yato's sheer hospitality at least. even if yuwon is still yuwon and it's not like he offers much beyond a simple nod of his head.

as they approach the bar area, he does ask curiously: ] What do you normally get to drink?

[Real as in tangible, rather than a hologram or whatever the style chip works on. ] Oh, definitely. Small mercies, huh?

[Somehow or another Yato lucked out of having any glitches happen to him when he first got the style chip, unlike most everybody else. Instead, his fiasco came later, as Yuwon saw. Right now, though, Yato bellies up to the bar and picks a couple of glasses for them, turning to face him ever so slightly, smile on his face.]

I'm a simple guy - usually I stick with beer, sometimes wine, and rarely other things like bourbon or whiskey.

[ when yato gets the glasses, yuwon takes it with a small dip of his chin. he then brings it up to yato's glass, just barely touching them before he takes a drink. ]

Sounds like you basically drink everything. Though, I think most "simple guys" don't go around calling themselves that. [ his voice does carry an intonation of mild amusement, however. ] Honestly, I'm not much of a drinker. [ whether it's the drinks, or the social situations they inspire. ... which may or may not be evidenced in his general behavior and vibe. ]

When you've been around as long as I have, you take whatever is on offer, honestly. But I guess calling myself such makes me more complex, then?? [That gets him to laugh readily.] Nothing wrong with that. If you prefer to have the occasional drink or none at all, it's all good. [He definitely notices Yuwon isn't the most... outgoing sort. Which, again, he has no problem with. Some of the best people are wallflowers!]

How long have you "been around" to say that? [ he knows better than to utilize appearance to presume how old someone was. after all, life spans in the tower typically ranged in the centuries and if he compares it to his own years lived prior to regressing... it was substantial.

but, he does see that yato has his own ways of putting others at ease. he isn't sure if he can say it works, but it doesn't make him feel uncomfortable, at least. he takes another sip, swirling the liquid idly before looking back the other man. ] I just think that's usually how it goes. But, that might just be because I know what real simple guys are like.

Roughly a thousand years, give or take a bit. [He puffs up proudly upon announcing that; a badge of honor for having made it through life so long without having been killed. And in his case, without having been forgotten.

Good thing he's not making Yuwon uncomfortable, as that's the last thing he wants to do. Following suit, he too downs some of his drink, nodding.] Heh, probably. Not that there's anything wrong with being a simple person, honestly. It takes all sorts to make life worthwhile, and even those who aren't deep or complex have their place.

[Besides, truly simple people are rare in his experience. Humans - and other kinds of people - tend to be complex creatures in general.]

[ he half-wonders, if just because he knows a few who share a similar enough distinction. but, a thousand years for an average person was... obviously impossible, and so he could only presume yato was anything but "average."

it's interesting, but yuwon doesn't fully allow himself to become too curious. instead, he remains at a respectable, metaphorical distance even as he mulls over the man's words. ] So you say, but you'd be surprised. Some people genuinely prefer not to think. Or well, if they are thinking, then I'm surprised.

[Thankfully Yato doesn't mind even if it is an interrogation. He's used to people feeling the need to grill him on whether he's really a god or not, usually because of how he dresses.
