KAIJU FIGHT #6
KAIJU FIGHT #6
▶ 001. SOMETHING IN THE SEA (KAGOSHIMA.)
It takes time to traverse the difficult terrain and fend off the corrupt wildlife but eventually, Redemption and Brimstone will arrive at the Ohsumi, where they will be sent coordinates to travel towards Sakurajima. There, they will find a very thin strip of land that forms a sandy and rocky path towards the island. They will be advised to wait until low tide when the path is easiest to cross.
Fortunately, as they wait, they will be largely undisturbed. The poison here is significantly more concentrated and any wildlife that lingers too long suffocates. For safety, Outsiders must continue wearing their protective suits to avoid the same fate.
Finally, the tide begins to recede and gives way to a rough and rocky path towards Sakurajima. The ground is hard and difficult to traverse; some parts are slippery with water. As they cross, a great tremor starts and the waters around them become turbulent. There isn't much to hold onto, but they're at high risk of falling into the sea especially when the land begins to rise.
When the tremors stop, there's a loud, hissing roar. The Outsiders will find themselves on the back of a giant turtle that is disguising itself as a small island. It appears this kaiju is the cause for the rift energy on this side of Japan.
Outsiders will be instructed to use water as their advantage as the creature uses fire and magma abilities. Electric attacks will weaken it, but the key is to tear off its shell from its body. Outsiders will be instructed to try this tactic, and after everyone's effort, the Gigakame will be defeated.

█ █ █ MONSTER DEBRIEF SHEETThe Outsiders will have to cut off all energy supplies to stop feeding the newly named Yamadenki and then defeat them.
NAME: Gigakame
HEIGHT: ???
WEIGHT: ???
CLASS: Extremely Dangerous
LOCATION: Kagoshima, Japan
ABILITIES: Breathes toxic gas, inner core is hot with magma, spits fire.
WEAKNESSES: Electricity, destroying and separating the turtle from its shell, filling the core with water.
EXTRA NOTES: This is a kaiju that has never been documented by LILITH before -- not much information can be provided. However, just like normal turtles, it uses its shell as a shield for defense and can be weakened if the shell is destroyed and torn from its body.

▶ 002. KAGOSHIMA AFTERMATH.
The Gigakame washes up on shore dead. The bizarre weather begins to normalize, but the poisonous miasma still lingers. Outsiders disembark to Kagoshima's base to depart and assist their other team mates.
Thanks to the clear weather, it's much easier to return to Kagoshima's research base. There, the researchers reveal they have a few emergency teleporters which are only allowed to be used during an emergency. Presumably, there are just enough to evacuate the researchers, but unfortunately, there are more Outsiders. The staff admit they probably won't have enough power to warp everyone safely; they guarantee that the first handful to go through will arrive in Tokyo with minimal issue, but the more they push their machines, the worse the side effects they'll suffer.
Redemption and Brimstone must decide who to send forward first to assist. Either way, everyone on both teams will be successfully teleported to Neo Tokyo, though those who have drawn the shorter straw (literally or figuratively) will suffer more sickness than those who teleported sooner rather than later.

▶ 003. SOMETHING IN THE SKY (TOKYO.)
While a huge sigh of relief sweeps the country when the kaiju in Kagoshima is defeated, there’s no actual time to relax. Outsiders will be ushered to go through the makeshift portals and/or are encouraged to find other means of arriving at the outskirts of Tokyo immediately. The Imugi has been spotted, and time cannot be wasted-- this is due to the influx of rift energy that is surrounding the city of Tokyo. While LILITH did complete the basic evacuation measures for the citizens of Neo Tokyo, there’s still an ominous air around the city and it’s not just from the rift poisoning, either. With small rifts cropping up here and there within the city, appearing and disappearing, the LILITH base is the most likely target for the Imugi.
While the hatchlings were moved to different facilities for safekeeping and monitoring, the Imugi seems largely uninterested in chasing them at present. The Imugi is resolved in its movements, and no amount of mimicking the hatchlings' vital readings can sway the Imugi off its intended path. As expected, within three hours of the initial fluctuations in rift energy, the Imugi appears at the emptied base. Similar to its behavior in Seoul, it sweeps over the base erratically, almost as if enraged. Its state is a direct mirror of how it appeared when avenging its mate, and it seems this is just the start.
Utilizing the insurmountable amount of rift energy it has built up around Tokyo, it eventually releases a deafening sound that causes the hatchlings to react, drawn to their mother. They make their way through the rifts, traveling through them at her beckoning, only to end up at the basement of the base. Just like that, the Imugi sinks its large claws through the roof of the structure and destroys not just the base, but also its young.
The energy produced by this creates a devastating explosion that destroys parts of the base and some of the surrounding area. While there were limited casualties due to the evacuation efforts, the area is now heavy with rift poisoning and the Imugi has every intention of destroying the city. It becomes clear that it did not desire to chase its young, but to use them to exact revenge.

▶ 004. TOKYO AFTERMATH.
The storms increase in intensity as the Imugi circles around the sky of Neo Tokyo. Fortunately, its ire still appears to be largely focused on the area around the base, and so the torrential downpour and lightning only seems to reach around this immediate area. LILITH tries to keep this space contained, attempting to work on stabilizing some of the rifts in order to cut off the Imugi’s potential escape routes. In the meantime, they will offer Outsiders as many resources as necessary to remain in the fight. They will send in supplies occasionally, including their specialized energy drinks and medical equipment. The new injections they drop off are able to heal light wounds and minor injuries, which can be administered quickly on the field. They anticipate this to be a long battle and advise Outsiders to pace themselves and work together.
By the latter half of the battle, all Outsiders should be accounted for in the final fight.
As expected, the battle lasts for over half a day and with the rift energy dwindling, the Imugi appears to be weakened. In fact, the Imugi has shrunk down to its original size prior to Seoul. Feeling its life is at risk, it uses the last of its energy to flee to the foot of Mt. Fuji. Fortunately, it doesn’t make it to the summit, and the Outsiders will be able to make quick work in pursuing it. For those that require it, ground vehicles and planes will be provided accordingly. Let's make sure it doesn't get away!
Upon arrival, they will see the final battlefront isn’t nearly that dramatic. The Imugi is significantly weakened, barely staving off attacks. Instead, it seems to focus on consolidating energy into its core while thrashing about. Eventually, a killing blow will be delivered but even then, it doesn't die easily. Similar to its young that were sacrificed, it appears to be using its own body to summon a final rift. Unfortunately, it cannot be stopped. Outsiders will be advised to temporarily retreat, after seeing the destruction that its young can do. The Imugi's body glows, increasing in intensity as it continues to gather energy. This is the warning to retreat. Within a matter of minutes, it self destructs, and a new rift is seen in its place. All Outsiders and LILITH are safe. The researchers immediately alert the area to be closed off for inspection.
Upon preliminary examination of this rift, they find that not only did it level a good portion of Mt. Fuji, but the power from it is unparalleled. Unlike the rifts they’ve encountered in prior battles, including their most recent venture in Transylvania, they discover this rift cannot be closed. What could this mean?
█ █ █ MONSTER DEBRIEF SHEET
NAME: IMUGI ♀
HEIGHT: 1000 feet across, 30 feet high
WEIGHT: 2000kg
CLASS: Extremely Dangerous
LOCATION: Neo Tokyo, Japan
ABILITIES: Control over weather conditions, including summoning of heavy storms, lightning strikes and hurricanes. Can fly up to 1000 feet. By flying amongst the clouds, Imugi releases chemicals into the atmosphere that bring about acid rain. Armored scales, sharp teeth and claws.
WEAKNESSES: Piercing it in the gaps between its impenetrable scales. There is also a particularly weak spot under on it's neck that will deal significant damage if pierced.
EXTRA NOTES: From its initial appearance and behavior, specialists believe that this female Imugi confirmed to be the mother of the hatchlings. This appears to be the female counterpart to the kaiju in Seoul that was killed by the Outsiders after causing havoc on South Korea. Despite them both being the same type of kaiju, likely derived from the same rift, this kaiju seems slightly more agile and openly aggressive.
By the latter half of the battle, all Outsiders should be accounted for in the final fight.

▶ 005. RE-GROUP.
With parts of the base destroyed and Neo Tokyo undergoing cleanup from the aftermath of the battle, Outsiders will be advised to take a break in the underground bunkers between Mt. Fuji and the city outskirts. As part of Mr. Fuji was also destroyed, some of the bunkers aren’t accessible, but Outsiders will find it is an entire maze of a city beneath the surface. If one traverses far enough, they will find it even connects to the amusement park that they saved last year. Exploration aside, Outsiders will be provided medical assistance and anything else required, and LILITH staff that are on hand will remain devoted to getting things back on track.
In the meantime, Outsiders can utilize whatever supplies are available and use the rooms at the Kyoto base freely. Each room contains anywhere from 2-4 beds, and everyone will be encouraged not to be alone in case of another emergency, especially as the rift remains open at the base of Mt. Fuji. These rooms are set up like traditional houses rather than a flashy base, with sliding doors and tatami mats. Floor futons will be used instead of Western style beds. There is one communal and traditional bath house for all sexes to use, a makeshift medical area, and an underground market that have several restaurants... but the food options and quality of amenities are questionable. They are mostly run by gritty characters or A.I robots.
As the portal between Kyoto and Neo Tokyo is still active, for those who are still able to, they will be advised to assist in retrieving any Imugi parts that remain from the scuffle. While its main body is being contained and promptly dealt with by LILITH, there are parts and scales scattered around Neo Tokyo and the old base. All parts are to be bagged, marked, and returned to LILITH. It's hard to say just how much of LILITH's base was destroyed and Eiji Shiro along with Captain Yamakawa are evaluating the state of the base before sharing a detailed report of the destruction. Stay tuned until February 25th for a follow up post.

▶ 006. AFTERWORD.
Welcome to our sixth kaiju battle, and it's a double whammy!
There are two kaiju to attack this time. Please read the instructions at each header about how to play. Remember, you only have to fill out your attack information once and we will RNG a HIT or MISS result two times per character.
It is highly likely that if your character did not pack certain belongings with them that they could be amongst the rubble of the base. The state of the base will be explained in a follow up post on February 25th, but fret not, you may assume whatever items are still in tact and operational and can be retrieved shortly. If you'd like for items to be perished and destroyed, be our guest!
All tags on this log are worth 2 points and will count towards February AC.

EVENT BREAKDOWN/RECAP (CLICK TO EXPAND)
1. SOMETHING IN THE SEA (KAGOSHIMA): Teams Redemption and Brimstone arrive at the Ohsumi to receive coordinates to Sakurajima, where they must wait until low tide to cross. The poison in the area is significantly concentrated; Outsiders are advised to wear their suits to avoid suffocating like the rest of the wildlife. Once they are able to cross, they discover that the land they are on is not an island, but a giant turtle kaiju responsible for the influx of rift energy on this side of Japan. Outsiders will be instructed to use water against the kaiju and try to separate the shell from the body.
2. KAGOSHIMA AFTERMATH: After defeating the Gigakame, Outsiders will be instructed to join their other teammates in Tokyo via emergency teleporters located at the Kagoshima research base. There is a limited amount of power to warp everyone safely, and Outsiders must decide who to send through the teleporter first. Eventually both teams will safely arrive in Neo Tokyo, but those who have gone through the teleporter later may suffer more side effects.
3. SOMETHING IN THE SKY (TOKYO): The Imugi has been spotted in Tokyo with a large influx of rift energy and has its sights set on destroying the LILITH base. Although the hatchlings were moved to different facilities, they are inevitably drawn to their mother and travel through rifts to the empty Tokyo base; however, instead of a reunion, the hatchlings sacrifice themselves and the ensuing explosion destroys parts of the base and the surrounding area.
4. TOKYO AFTERMATH: The rematch with the Imugi and the Outsiders begin, with LILITH working on stabilizing rifts to cut off the Imugi's escape and sending in supplies in the form of energy drinks and new medical equipment. The battle lasts for over half a day, with the Imugi attempting to escape to Mt. Fuji, weakened to the point where it can't reach the summit. Outsiders are advised to retreat as the Imugi self-destructs and creates a new rift, one that can't be closed.
5. RE-GROUP: With parts of the base destroyed, Outsiders will temporarily stay in the underground bunkers between Mt. Fuji and the city outskirts. While Outsiders are provided medical assistance and anything else required, LILITH staff that are on hand will remain devoted to getting things back on track. Outsiders are welcome to help themselves to the limited amenities and room with others; however, sharing is encouraged and the food options are questionable. As the portal between Kyoto and Neo Tokyo is still active, some Outsiders may be asked to assist in retrieving Imugi parts. At this time, Eiji Shiro and Captain Yamakawa will assess the damage on the base before sharing a detailed report at a later time.
Godzilla | Legendary Monsterverse | Everlight
[ Godzilla is angry. As angry as he was during Brasov, maybe even angrier. The home he's had for months has been attacked directly, the lives of young ones he helped raise have been ended. All by some hateful serpent that doesn't know its place. She's about to learn.
Is it even a surprise that he roars while starting to charge towards the Imugi? Between the roar and the thundering of his feet the humming sound of his charging power is almost lost. The Imugi actually responds to his challenge and comes rushing towards him in return, taking a swipe with one of her paws. Godzilla vanishes.
And reappears in the air alongside her head, turning and smacking her upside the head with his tail. She snaps at him, he vanishes again, teleporting back to the ground and quickly unleashing a blast of his pink atomic breath upwards. She slams a paw down to smash him and once more he teleports.
Reappearing alongside the nearest fellow Outsider, his mouth open in a hiss, smoke and pink energy bellowing out his throat and nostrils. His tail slams against the ground in pure anger as he glances at whoever's been (un?)lucky enough to end up with him at their side. ]
If assailing our foe is of challenge, I can offer conveyance. [ Is he offering to THROW YOU at the giant dragon? Yes. Yes he is. ] All effort must be given to ending this bitch.
[ Damn, who taught him how to talk like that? ]
▶ 005: Somebody give me a God(zilla) damn drink (CW: Alcohol, Nudity)
[ Well. The past few days have sucked entirely. Godzilla's been pretty anti-social and moody since the fight was over, spending most of his time staring off into the distance or stomping around outside the temporary base on patrol. It's pretty much pure exhaustion that sees him finally relent and take care of himself.
The bath house is pretty much perfect for that. Being entirely shameless Godzilla has no issue with the prospect of anyone of any spectrum seeing his human form minus clothing and being an aquatic creature by nature, a long soak is pretty much the best thing for his mood and aching body. What's also good for that? Whiskey.
The big guy can be found lounging in the communal bath in full human form. He's leaned up against the edge, one arm resting outside the water on the ledge, holding a glass full of dark brown liquor. There's a bottle of whiskey and other glasses sitting there unused, just in case. The big guy is, well, a big guy, with a completely different physiology than most people, so he's not really at risk of intoxication here. It's just a pleasant way to relax.
Approaching the bath will receive a nod of acknowledgement as his gaze flicks over to whoever is joining him, though he's mostly uninterested. His eyes are glowing from ocular use, he's reading again. Surprisingly, Godzilla has nothing to really say. He's not his usual chatty self in the least. ]
▶ 006: WILDCARD
[ Go ahead and throw me any kind of prompt or hit me up on
005
Hence, Ratio walks into the communal bath area a short moment after Godzilla settles down. He notes the other occupant in the room but makes no effort in communicating with him. He goes through the whole cleaning routine and then walks over to the bath, opting to settle down some distance away from Godzilla, though it's still close enough for a conversation.
And then he doesn't say anything. He opens the book he brought into the area with him, and reads. ]
no subject
...
The hatchlings.
At first Godzilla's content to further stew in his own reading but the quiet that settles over the room is anything but comfortable. It's a nagging thing that hangs in the back of Godzilla's mind, it's not likely to go away anytime soon either.
After what feels like hours but in reality is more around fifteen minutes, Godzilla sets his glass down on the edge of the bath with a sigh. It's been mostly untouched since Ratio came in, the good doctor's presence kind of ruined the flavor. ]
Dispense with the statement of "I informed you as such" and be done with it. It takes neither wisdom nor age to know the thought lingers at the tip of your tongue.
no subject
—until the kaiju decided to open his mouth, of course. Because he just couldn't resist, could he?
Frankly, Ratio wasn't in the mood to argue. Even if he did want to call Godzilla an idiot for continually assuming that the scholar wanted to lord over him, or even wanted the hatchlings dead despite his many repeated statements to the contrary, it wasn't going to do anything but cause both of them to expend energy they did not have. ]
What reason would I have to do so? Even I did not foresee the mother using her children as a tool against us.
[ LILITH had done their best, but evidently, it was not possible to contain a creature that could travel through Rifts without having some sort of anti-Rift measures in place. ]
...You have my condolences.
no subject
Condolences. Do not seek to butter the toast, as they say. I am not so dim as to think you do not wish to pet your own ego. You did give warning not to form attachment, did you not, Doctor?
[ Wow, did Godzilla just turn the word Doctor into a curse? He kind of did. Before he says anything else he proceeds to knock back his drink, then refill it. After a moment of staring at the brown liquid in the glass he snorts out a plum of smoke, fills another, and slides the new glass across the ledge towards Ratio.
He's... oddly good at that?! It travels the perfect length to come to a rest in arm's reach of Ratio, not a single drop spilling outside of the glass. Godzilla takes naturally to the weirdest physical skills. ]
Bah... my distaste for you becomes a chore to hold upon. I tire of it. Nearly with the strength that I grow tired of this conflict with the Kaiju. [ A pause, a shake of his head. ] Too much death has occurred. The city remains standing, few humans met their ends, and the enemy is defeated. Yet still there is too much death.
no subject
This fight is becoming far too childish and tiring. A sentiment that, thankfully, Godzilla echoes not a moment later, sliding a glass of his drink over in a clear peace offering. (Ratio does, begrudgingly, have to give it to him—that slide was clean.)
Ratio does not immediately take the offered drink. Pride and reason war within him. Childishly, he does not want to reconcile with the kaiju because he is much too irritated at the moment. Rationally, however, he should set those feelings aside. While his overall thoughts about Godzilla's threat have yet to change, the lowered hostility will benefit both of them.
Also, he has no idea how Godzilla has been slamming down those glasses without feeling the alcohol. Drinking in a hot bath was a surefire way get completely smashed. Despite the symbolic meaning of the drink, he should not imbibe any of it.
...
He picks up the glass anyway, and stares down at it. ]
Death and loss is an inevitability in a fight for survival. If not Neo Tokyo, then perhaps Yamanashi, or Kagoshima. We do not have the ability to keep everyone safe.
no subject
Which is good because he's already halfway emptied that freshened glass of his, giving Ratio a grouchy look over top of it. ]
Do not presume to inform me of the realities of survival, I am of painful awareness to the cost it often brings. [ An annoyed snort. ] Yet it is those of age who should give their lives for those freshly hatched, the reverse is... distasteful. Not even the Mother Arachnid Abbadon is as callous with the lives of her billions of spawn as was the Imugi.
[ Bah, Abbadon. That's an entire metal container of dirt bound invertebrates that Godzilla never thought he'd bring up in a positive light, yet it's true. For being the origin point and ultimate master of every arachnid in Godzilla's world of origin, he's never known the overgrown bug to throw the lives of her get away carelessly. ]
An inquiry, Ratio. Do you believe there merit to the human concept of Evil?
no subject
His grip on the glass tightens. ]
Evil and good are labels that we humans prescribe unto thoughts, actions and people that bear certain properties, primarily those that benefit or harm others. They have strong connotations and are reductive in nature; thus it is unwise to prescribe such labels before any careful analysis of the subject in question has been completed.
[ Recited almost as if from rote memory, like he's lectured about this many times before. There's a little something missing—the spark of conviction that usually accompanies his words. Without that fire, he seems completely detached from the conversation. ]
Do you think the female Imugi evil?
no subject
I know the bitch to have been as such.
[ Said with that sure fire conviction Godzilla says most things with. ]
Two things are of requirement for Evil to exist in a being, intelligence and intent. Consider a feline, an intelligent creature yes? Given to playing with their prey, tormenting it some could say, yet I would not term them evil. Felines do not know cruelty, nor hate, not the way they do, their actions are natural, innocent in a way.
[ A pause as he finishes his drink and sets the empty glass back down. He doesn't move to refill it. His anger is building, he doesn't want to risk smashing it. ]
Brasov's Canid and the Imugi had intent. Hatred and cruelty were their motivations, suffering and revenge their goals. The Imugi was able enough to cause destruction enough on her own, destroying the lives of my-- her hatchlings to achieve further harm was an act in complete opposition to nature. There is little else to term this behavior if not Evil.

▶ 004
Flames and smoke ignite their surroundings in hellish orange and red, shadows billowing under plumes as light flares illumination on the clouds like garish silver linings breathing in the rage of its own destruction. Bakugo locks in another round of bolts and swings the rail gun upward from its perch on the van's top. Just in time to have his ally blink into being beside the van. Thankfully not atop it. Even at ten feet, Godzilla is a fucking solid being.]
Do I look like I have a challenge assailing that damn skank?! [This guy. This guy taught Godzilla how to talk like that. But as he is, damaged and healing, Bakugo is unable to accept that offer of conveyance. He promised Denji and other close friends he wouldn't actively fight in the war. Meaning his body and Quirk are grounded.
KA-BLAM!! That doesn't mean he's not able to fire off a plug of spearing metal towards the creature above. Bakugo might be doing this with one arm, but he's not down and out. Releasing the gun, he reaches into one of his costume's pants pockets and draws out what looks like a collapsed metal disc. A quick click and the entire thing balloons into one of his grenade-like bracers. With a completely full tank of his dangerously explosive sweat.
A quick toss throws the entire thing towards Godzilla.] CRAM IT DOWN HER FUCKING THROAT!!
no subject
...
THE hatchlings. Not his. Right.
Godzilla's brought out of darker thoughts just in time to catch the thrown bracer. He's seen Bakugo put them to use plenty of times but he's never seen it unattached from the spikey shonen's uniform. Godzilla hefts it experimentally in his hand, gauging the weight and feel as he glances up at the Imugi. ]
Heh. A task that is part of the whole of a tiered baked dessert.
[ Piece of cake.
Without further encouraging Godzilla once more charges forward, firing off another shot of his breath to get the Imugi's attention once he's in range. The giant dragon snarls and swipes, Godzilla teleports above her at eye level, so she can see him. Her jaw unhinges, mouth opening to snap down on the Titan King--
Did he just dunk a bomb down her throat?!.
He did. He ends up grasping the bottom jaw of the Imugi, hanging on for a moment to make sure she doesn't dislodge the explosive, which is a mistake! She takes the opportunity to finally nail Godzilla with a claw attack, cutting into his left side and sending the big guy hurtling back towards Bakugo's location. When he hits the ground he skids, going past the van and hitting a pile of rubble, his spines and velocity cutting trenches through the ground.
At least Goji's alive! He growls in discomfort and shakes his head, picking himself up... and flopping onto his right side, his left bleeding from the hit he just took that tore through his plugsuit and some scales. Give him a minute. ]

True, his bracers are usually locked onto his arms, but they're perfectly detachable, and he can even fire them off if needs be for it. Bakugo gave LILITH the tech and schematics of his costume gear a long time ago, ensuring he can get them replaced each time they're destroyed. If these people want him to work for them, they can fucking work for him!
Those things are pretty damn solid. Won't be a problem for Godzilla to heft despite their weight. There's a reason Bakugo's got some damn nice arms and shoulders.]
Get your ass up there. [Before he launches out another plug of metal. Red eyes narrow as Godzilla dashes in for another distracting claw swipe before teleporting. Damn right the king of kaiju dunked on the creature's mouth! Given that heat and the volatile substances in the bracers, safety unlocked by now, there's a massive explosion that would level a skyscraper right in her gullet!
But not without rending Godzilla's side open with a slice. Bakugo instantly swings the gun and peppers her with a few more rounds until other Outsiders pull her attention away while she deals with some heavy mouth damage. Only then does he drop down, wrench open a side compartment on the van, then run towards Godzilla, skidding to a stop beside the other.]
Oy! [Shit, that wound's large.] Don't move. [Bakugo drops to his knees beside him and opens the first aid kit so he can start tending to the big guy's wound.]
no subject
He doesn't really seem to care? ]
Bah! A simple wound of the flesh. [ He snorts out some smoke and slams his tail against the ground again, the motion causing him to hiss in pain. ] There have been worse, it shall wait. Her death is all of import of this moment.
no subject
I can see a fucking rib. Stop moving and I'll patch you up. [No, he's not waiting for an agreement either. A quick rip and he tears open an expanding swath of gauze, letting it bloom out into a wide rectangle. Provided he's not interrupted, Bakugo presses the gauze to Godzilla's side, trying to staunch the bloodflow for now.]
Trust the others to hold her off for a few minutes.
no subject
I shall allow this behavior this once. However a warning, Friend Bakugo.
[ The big guy turns to look Bakugo dead on while he patches up the hole in Godzilla's side (wow he's really like those old Jurassic Park toys right now...), hissing less from anger and more from the discomfort the movement causes. Stubborn bastard wants to make a point though. ]
In future events I shall not be as accommodating should you cause me delay for a minor injury. You will be tossed as one does with a persistent small canid. This is understood, yes?
[ How many people has Lucy told about the whole Pomeranian thing...? ]
no subject
In that he doesn't waste his time with the kaiju's glowing spines, pink eyes, or smoky snorts. Rage all you want; he's getting the job done in the meantime.]
Pera, pera, pera. Stop wasting your energy on shitty threats and focus on your next move once I'm done.
[Whoosh. Right over his head. If it were a more minor injury, Bakugo would've cauterized it with his Quirk and let Godzilla be on his way. Even with only one working arm, the hero's quick and skilled with his efforts. Staunching the blood, trading the dressing for a fresh one, fastening it with three strips of tape, then wrapping the entire thing in muslin-like material. Godzilla's got a nice white cummerbund now. At tops it took Bakugo five minutes. (Thanks for that Dino Damage blast from the past, mate.) And he did it without causing the kaiju king more than some minor discomfort while moving around him.
He finishes up and steps back, tilting his head towards the battle.]
Kick her fucking ass.
[STOP COMPARING HIM TO THAT FUCKING TINY ASS SHITTY DOG!!]
no subject
Speaking of the battle his spikey Friend has a point here, what is his next move? He only has a few more shots left of his atomic breath before he's spent, maybe it's time to mix it up? ]
Bah. One could return the statement on waisted energy, humans require updated patches more than myself.
[ Patching up.
Once Bakugo's done Godzilla stretches experimentally, head tilted downward as he inspects the young hero's work. Very thorough yet not restricting Godzilla's range of movement, the big guy not only nods with approval but gives Bakugo an honest to Mothra thumbs up. ]
One could think you have missed your calling in the healing arts, Friend Bakugo. My thanks and my apologies for my... lack of patience.
[ Patience is important, especially in battle, he's learned that in his lessons with Raidou. Speaking of which that leads into what he's decided his next move is. Reaching into the pocket space the glove on his one hand allows him access to Godzilla draws out his odachi, the oversized blade looking almost like a normal katana in proportion to him. ]
We shall bring her skull back to mount within the repaired feasting area, yes?
[ He's positively grinning with malice as he begins forward, taking hold of the sword's hilt in his mouth so he can go down to all fours and gallop forward at speed. Then he's gone, and on a building up ahead, gone again, on a taller building, gone again, and above the Imugi in the distance. Sword once more in hand, blade pointed straight down as he drops from a height. The Imugi must feel it because there's an angered roar and a strike of lighting, right onto Godzilla's head. Followed by a tail smack that catches the titan off guard and sends him flying through the side of a building.
Ouch.
About ten minutes later he's teleported back to Bakugo's position. He returns his blade to the hammerspace and shakes himself like some big scaled dog, dust and bits of rubble falling from his body. At least he doesn't have any new rends down to the bone? ]
She is vexingly persistent in the refusal to expire.

How are you holding up?
[ He asks with a glance to the bottle, because, well, ]

Granted most of Kong's scars came from Goji himself... anyway. ]
Ah. A question of heavy loads. [ ... Yeah okay.
Godzilla takes a moment to finish off the glass he has in hand. He sighs as he places the empty vessel on the ledge next to the bottle and unused glasses, then crosses his arms. ]
I am angered... and grieved. This is to be expected, of course. Yet I am also... troubled.
[ An annoyed grumble, he uncrosses his arms, fills up his glass, then pauses. ]
The Imugi, she was beyond reason, a full embodiment of the human term "monster". Yet something was amiss with her. Thoughts of it vex me.
no subject
There's a relaxing sigh when he fully sinks into the water; mister bougie would usually prefer to relax like this alone, but the soldier part of him is used to being around others. ]
Amiss?
[ Yzak tips his head to the side. As per their conversation about the Kaiju, Godzilla's opinions on these matters are ones he wants to hear the most. ]
How so?
no subject
[ He taps his index finger against the glass bottle as he ponders, the sound of the claws even his human form keeps at the fingertips making a crystal clear ping with each impact. ]
Make example of the porcine and simian Kaiju we made sport of during the last lunar cycle. Aggressive, destructive, but possessed of reason in their way. Basic beasts intent on survival at their core, yes? The Imugi...
[ A pause as he takes a sip from his glass. ]
That being was not correct. I am unsure if it was her nature that was corrupted or if her very existence itself was the corrupt thing.
[ Another pause, another drink, and a troubled grumble. ]
She submitted in the end. When the final blow was struck our eyes met, I could see her acceptance of my status there... and the depths of her malevolence. She was a being of hatred, yes? Then why would she flee the city before destructing herself, one would assume she would vent her petty fury upon the human dwellings rather than an empty mountainside.
no subject
I do hope the LILITH team investigating it can provide some answers to that, soon. That thing's existence is pretty ominous.
As for the Imugi seeming corrupt ... there's still more questions than answers about the hierarchy of these kaiju, if some are more like beasts and some can talk. Is there control involved between them? Concepts of a hivemind? Mind control? The kaiju we encountered in Las Vegas had powers that messed with our minds, so it's certainly possible they could do that to one another.
no subject
[ A shrug. Godzilla has no clue what was going through the Imugi's mind in her last moments but given what she was able to do to her on young? He's pretty happy not knowing what twisted thoughts went on in there. ]
For their hierarchy there is only speculation we can hold for the moment. Though there is perhaps chance that the mechanisms of my own world of origin may other some vision to the inside of this matter. [ Insight... ]
Let us consider my Titans, those of that number are of expectational quality amongst the beings that inhabit that world. There are many creatures within the world beneath that we would term "Kaiju" here, their scale towering over humanity, their capacity for destruction should they find themselves on the surface would be quite similar I believe, yet not all are Titans.
[ A pause. Is he getting lost in the flora here, as they say? Perhaps he is. He shakes his head. ]
A simplification. The Kaiju the packs faced before my arrival, creatures of the behavior of base beasts like the Yama-Kuijira, they are what one would consider the normal species within the world beneath. The Titans would be closest to the Imugi and the beast of Brasov; intelligent, holding their own motivations aside from basic survival, capable of bringing humanity to their knees should they wish.
Amongst the Titans there are those of similar temperament to the Imugi, Destroyers that will attack all who intrude upon them, or who will risk the well being of the world for their own gains of territory. Then there are those like myself, Protectors, those who see to the balance of nature and the defense of your kind from other Titans... and themselves. So one must wonder, by what means is it that the two natures of Titan are not in constant battle with one another, yes?
[ Godzilla allows himself a smirk, his posture straightening in pride as he stands up and thumps his chest with a fist. ]
Myself. I am Alpha, I am King. Upon the earth of origin Godzilla is aware of the presence and actions of every Titan who dwells both on the surface and inn the world below. The capacity to call to them from any location and be heard is a capability I possess, one of great import. It is not a "hivemind", nor is it control, but it is... compulsion? Yes, compulsion that drives the other Titans to respond.
[ That pride falls a bit as he goes on, he has to be honest about things so Yzak can get the full picture and admitting this is not easy. ]
However I am not the only with this capacity. Ghidorah, an Invader from beyond the planet, likewise was capable of such call. When I was weakened by human interference in our battles they were capable of taking the place of Alpha. They called the Titans from their slumbers, set them to destroying the cities of mankind. I am... uncertain how many would have perished. With my understanding of civil denizen populations I would put estimate to millions.
Perhaps the Kaiju posses this. An Alpha that seeks the conquest of this world. If this is so it is my suspicion that the vile Pricolici was itself capable of this post of Alpha, as it appeared more intent upon carving out its own small kingdom than contribution to a greater goal. In the end of things we are once more given more things of inquiry rather than answer. Vexing.
[ OH WOW THERE ARE SO MANY WORDS. What is this, a Ratio tag?! ]
no subject
Hm.
HM!!
Despite where Yzak's mind goes when Godzilla and his temperament says that, he does not open his mouth.
There's more important things to think about anyway, rather than Godzilla's penchant to blowing up rooms when he gets into an argument. ]
Not a hivemind, then. That sounds closer to something like a sort of psychic connection between you all.
But that's very useful information to know, because if it's anything like that for these guys here ... similar sort of abilities could be the key to breaking into or disrupting it. It's an avenue to at least look into.
no subject
[ He shrugs. The giant spider's tendencies while mysterious would... actually be helpful in this war against the kaiju, now that he thinks about it. They could get a clearer sense for the rest of the world at the very least, assuming there were spiders still running around out there, which is a safe bet given the species' resilience and variety.
Anyway. ]
A thought, should there be the discovery of a Kaiju Alpha it would become a thing of necessity to see to the empowering of myself or Gigan. This is not a declaration born of egotism. [ He raises his index finger in a halting gesture. There's some egotism though, let's be real. ] As Titans we would be of the most suitable candidacy to challenge a hypothetical Kaiju Alpha for dominance.
[ explain to me how he says things like "missed the steak" but knows how to use hypothetical in a sentence... ]
