Best Bang for your Buck
One of the more well-off CEOs in Neo-Tokyo has a reputation of working closely with one of the most infamous (and untouchable) politicians in the city. The politicain himself is difficult to corner or get close to, however, the CEO is marginally more available. Or at least, his business is aways hiring, and they contract several services such as cleaning out to small businesses. He also has several close associates known for frequenting many of the clubs in Neo-Tokyo as well, and they are easy to speak with, especially when indulging in drink or drugs.
Outsiders will need to get information about him from either his associates or fellow workers, where they can find him. He’s a bit notoriously difficult to find, but after investigating, Outsiders will be able to find out that he frequents the Underground, or rather – a string of clubs and fighting rings run not by legitimate businesses, but Crime Syndicates. It seems our CEO isn’t as squeaky clean as one would think. Outsiders will need to stalk this CEO to find out more about where he goes, as well as his dealings within the underground.
LILITH would be appreciative to know who he is meeting and what it is about, but it is up to Outsiders whether they share this information with LILITH, or if they report it to the “agency”, or both.
Hissy Pit
LILITH has obtained information from previous investigations that there are money-laundering schemes that seem more far-reaching than just in Neo Tokyo, and include both local businesses paying protection fees as well as outside entities that are investing in Neo-Tokyo’s criminal enterprises. They aren’t certain of how far it goes, but rumors suggest it may be spreading to other crime-friendly locations, like Las Vegas. Getting information is trickier, as Outsiders will need to obtain information while infiltrating an Underground Fight club to do so. Information suggests that they use kaiju they’ve stolen to fight not only other kaiju, but other promising human fighters, and earlier in the nights, the unfortunate. Either those that owe a debt, a captured rival, or snitches. (You are free to use common and small Kaiju from the TDM as fighting Kaiju in your threads! Maybe a few rift-corrupted beetles?)
Outsiders are asked to infiltrate this dangerous den and obtain information by any means necessary. Saving civilians in the meantime is desired, but may not be possible. Outsiders are encouraged to attempt to keep a low profile during this operation if at all possible. Outsiders are also strongly discouraged (but not prohibited) from using their powers if they end up in the ring. Tipping the organizations off can lead to the underground to either move, or disappear entirely and a new scheme could crop up in the meantime.
LILITH would appreciate any information turned over to them in regards to these connections, as well, but it’s entirely up to the Outsiders if they want to provide that information to LILITH, the “agency”, or both!
Pit Vipers
Well, as clean as Gorilla Fists can get. No activating those extra functions. ] Sorta. But explain it to me like I'm five again to make sure.

But, he seems to recognize it. His head tipped. ]
Think of it as the opening act. They toss out the debtors, the low lifes, the ones who they can toss aside. The point is to bet. There's always a spoiler — but it's no guarantee.
That's the role I've arranged for you to play. To fight the kaiju, and surprise them, when you don't end up dead in the end.
[ Simple, truly! ]

Interested in these kaijus. Best way to get to know 'em before he fights them for real—fight them in the prelims that is this betting operation. He's no stranger to tournaments. New element, never bloodied in this ring, they have no idea what to expect. The bets on him are pure speculation, values all over the place.
Good. Generating buzz. If Vincent plays his cards right, he can impress the right people, ones with useful answers. Might even pretend to go yakuza for the realism of it all. ] So. [ He clenches his hands, steam rising from the hydraulics. ] Got any tips before I fight whatever the fuck that is? [ Ugliest fucking boar Vincent's ever seen. Those tusks will shred him if he doesn't play his cards right. The Militech Chimera strategy should work.
Stay out of its fucking way. Stunlock it by fighting it at its haunches. ]

I've noticed the longer fights tend to end poorly for the humans, unless they tire the creature out.
[ At least... it's something. he looks V up and down, curious. Trying to take stock of who he was, and what he could do. This is a boon to him as well. It allows him to get information, see who he is, and what he can do. ]
If you're confident, I'll put a hefty sum on you, and we'll clean some of them out. And while you distract them, I'll... do what I do best.
[ A quirk of his lips. Despite the eye, a pitch thing burning in dim light, it's obvious he can disappear into the shadows. ]

Go for it. [ He watches the kaiju dig at the ground with its heel, charge the steel cage to no avail, tusks caught on the bars for a moment before prying them off, pissed off.
Yeah, he has a good idea how this thing needs to be fought. ] Okay, go ahead and bet. I know I can beat this thing now. [ When V's a guy with glowing eyes too can't cast judgment on other people's creepiness in good judgment. Can, but won't. ]
"Welcome to our exhibition match! Today we have..." [ Yadda yadda yadda. V doesn't vault over to the ring until they announce him as a 'mysterious newcomer'. His name gets mangled but that's alright. Charming, even, to hear the local pronunciation of Alex. ]
"And our three-time champion yama-kujira, Kuro! Bane of debtors, shredder of chinpiras! Will the newcomer dazzle us with moves all the way from America, or will our local beast triumph once more?!"
"Begin!"
[ Of fucking course it charges out of the gate. V, predicting that, leaps into the air, landing on the thing's back, borderline mocking it with the cowboy move. He wastes no time wrapping his arms around its thick neck, legs locked around its haunches, as it screeches in rage, running all over the stage as it tries to unseat him. If it slams him against the stage then they'll have problems but so far the beast's too angry to do anything but thrash. ]

I'll give you a cut of the profits.
[ He says with a wave of his hand as he walks off, moving to the bookie, his tone turning natural and easy, lifting his wrist to provide the kryptos as others hedged in. One of them, a tall, large man looked down at Silco, a sneer on his lips. 'Only idiots vote on the canon fodder," he breathes, his voice slurred and drunken. It carries over the crowd, a few chuckles.
Silco only shrugs, confident and easy. ] Only a fool thinks the only monsters are the ones bearing tusks and fangs.
[ Though they don't seem to listen. The chances are well stacked against an unknown human.
The fight starts, the thread of words, awkwardness around a foreign name — and the man starts to move, the beast starting to buck and kick while V holds on. It's angry, the monster. Of course it is. It's being mocked. Or so it seems.
Silco makes a slow path around the cage, calm as can be. Like he's not worried at all. ]
Just gonna move the scene a bit since getting an in is the important part
V understands now, intimately, why his kin give these beasts a wide berth. ]
"Ouch! That looked like it hurt!" [ An announcer who likes to state the obvious. Lovely. Even with a titanium frame, getting slammed against the stage's high walls hurts like hell. V swears he tastes blood in his mouth but he chooses to think it's the legacy of the Relic rather than internal damage. A shot from his blood pump courses through his veins and he's right as right. Rising to his feet from the crumpled form he was, watching with disdain as the damn kaiju runs off to the opposite end to pick up momentum, all the better to slam him into a pulp. ]
Fuck you. [ The smart thing would be to jump, or flee. V, however, has had enough. Forget giving these people a show—can't cash winnings if you're dead. Instead he dashes forward, meeting the kaiju at the middle, denying it precious speed and distance. Both of his hands grab onto its tusks, stopping it in its place. Furious, Kuro squeals, its vicious claws digging into the dirt of the arena, kicking up dust from the exertion but going nowhere fast. ] Fuck. You! [ They said powers are strongly discouraged. V, unfortunately, has no say on his Militech Berserk kicking in.
His vision awash in crimson, eyes a solid, seething red. The hog might as well be an insect—its slow, clumsy, weak. It can do nothing but shriek in rage as V punches it on its snout, breaking it, watching blood pour out of its nostrils, then sidesteps. Left side, punch. Back left leg, kick. Then the other side, both of its back legs broken, crippling it with the precision of a butcher.
Ten seconds or so of this, then V stops. Dashes back and away from the kaiju, panting, sweaty, speckled with blood. Kuro isn't a fully grown Yama-Kujira but it's by no means less impressive—what it lacked in size it made up for in viciousness.
But that viciousness means a damn thing when it's dragging itself on the ground with only two legs, its massive weight turned against it. Can't escape gravity now matter how hard it howls. A pitiful display and, if he were a crueler man, V would continue tearing the kaiju apart, show these fools how much damage you can do without weapons, give them the show they crave.
But he won't. Can't. ] Sorry. [ Wrapping his right fist with his left hand, V hammers at the kaiju's skull, crushing it. It yelps, sags, then stills, tongue-lolling.
Satisfied, V climbs up the kaiju's bloodied, crushed head. Sits on its back. Arms stretched, beckoning. Mocking: ] Got anymore?
[ The arena erupts in cheers. He shoots Silco a wink. ]
