That's not the point, though, is it. [ Let Bakugo feel as vindicated as he wants. Yuji is still uncomfortable with baring the way he thinks and feels to other people, letting on just how badly he's affected by all the weird things going on in his life. His instinct is to tuck it all away and not let it bother other people, because he has no desire to add to their burdens, their sufferings. When he thinks about the fact that the things he feels cause problems for others, it makes him feel worse.
Maybe he's protecting himself a little, by hiding it all away. Yuji knows, deep down, that the way he feels isn't normal, that it's dangerous to keep letting himself think the way he does - it'll keep getting himself into dangerous situations and keep risking his own life, but that's the way it should be, at least as far as he's concerned. Yuji can handle the pain, can handle suffering, is built for pushing through the kind of agony that other people can't survive, so why can't he be the one to do it?
Nodding his head, Yuji sighs. ] I get it. We're fighting something similar where I'm from. It's not a war, not yet, but it's heading that way if we can't sort it all out now. If it gets out of hand, the way I think it is... It'll be just as bad for us as I guess it is for you. [ Yuji doesn't know what's going on with Fushiguro, and the last thing he remembers is awful, so he has to try and ignore it, or he'll have some kind of breakdown.
The person Yuji has become is shaped by his losses, and he has to force himself to push the pieces of himself together so that he can hold other people up. He loves them, and he will die for them. It's that simple. ]
That's the problem, isn't it? They'll worry about me no matter what, so the least I can do is ease some of it as much as I can. [ Yuji adjusts, letting Bakugo sink into him as much as he likes. He doesn't care; he likes physical affection of almost any kind. ] I'm happy to be with them too, I just... Don't know what I'll do if something does happen to them again. Any of them. I dunno if I'll be able to handle it.
