I'm always rational. [ except, don't look back on the past ten to fifteen minutes of their shame. did they even last that long? still, he quips back before he really gets a chance to think it through. he even brings a hand up to his head as if also nursing his own headache. ]

yuwon normally wasn't the type to be affected by other people's words. on the contrary, he was fairly secure of himself and if any one was going to be critical of his own actions, it'd be him. this may have been the first time in a while that anyone's called him out without any semblance of reservation, and where they've actually been right.

he opens his mouth, before he closes it. he wants to say it'll be different next time, now that he knows to factor in his stubbornness, or lack of compliance. but he has to admit, it isn't just on wriothesley. maybe he got too comfortable with knowing the future. even though he's regressed and came back...

there are some variables he can't always control. while he knows everyone else's actions fairly easily, it wasn't an overnight consideration, and so he can only stand there awkwardly. he shakes his head. ] Don't make me laugh. You say all that, but are you saying you thought of me as your teammate for even a second?

Wriothesley likes to think of himself as a reasonable man. A man willing to look out for those under his supervision, a man who is fair and just and willing to listen to all sides of a story. So to have his efforts shrugged off like they were never worth anything in the first place….it's more than a little insulting. Not that he's been the perfect example of model behavior either, but at least he's tried. ]

I have, actually. [ For once his voice is entirely solemn, devoid of its usual goading tone. ] I have tried to get to know you and work alongside you, to little avail each time. I'm a patient man but even my patience has its limits. If you want to work together as teammates, then the onus is on you next time to make that happen.

they're words he said without any actual expectation, so he didn't exactly envision they'd be responded to at all, if at all like this. it's probably all the more insulting for wriothesley if he knew yuwon potentially wanted to check if his words were true. (LMAO) human relationships were complex. as much as they had their back and forth, he never thought anyone would really have a threshold. but, wrio was different.

even in all his time of debating if he could use someone, even people theoretically in closer proximity to him like hargaan, he never thought they'd be offended. rather, he didn't think of it at all. it was probably a conscious decision on his end, and yet. this looks like it was his limit.

instead of saying anything, he decides to not. he also just says: ] I don't need it.
