WHO: everyone!
WHAT: the firefighters put out a calendar every year and guess who is getting everyone involved.
WHERE: the venue for the photoshoot, somewhere in the city.
WHEN: within the first week of their arrival.
WARNINGS: nudity or partial nudity? will update warnings as they come.

The firefighters are looking for models to assist in their yearly calendar. Last year due to some mishaps, they missed the due date for this beloved tradition in the city, and so are not looking to really make sure everything is flawless this year. Since is no error for mistakes, they are even recruiting people to model as firefighters, as well as looking for people who can act as temporary photographers— in a city as busy as this one, it isn’t always easy booking a photographer for certain time slots.


1. As a photographer they are tasked to make the calendar spicy, but also unique! They figure one of the best selling points is variety. No more poses, the more avant-garde, the weirder even, the better! Like if your thing is posing with a carton of eggs, you do you!
2. Models are incentivized and even ranked (this is arbitrary, so I leave that all to you), so maybe this can also lift the competitive spirit of some! Or maybe you just really want to make some extra kryptos!
3. Outside of photographers and models, also looking for people who can enhance the overall experience. Do coffee runs for everyone, while also hyping or judging the models! Whatever they say fit! People can even stumble into these roles thinking they were here for a completing different reason! Or go out on an errand to come back and suddenly everyone is not as they once were.
4. Just have fun and free to make up your own scenarios! Even if it's walking in like 🧍‍♂️ I thought this was a pizza party.

everyone is free to put up their top levels and tag around as they see fit. you can see it as you were messaged by someone randomly on the network about an opportunity to make additional kyptos, or they could have even found an ad. whatever works!

[ honestly, despite taking on the same civilian job, yuwon never really had the opportunity to talk to him much. outside of a few words in passing, mostly greetings, despite never having been fully acquainted. then again, he could have just as readily blamed his own disinterest in sparking conversation... as the root cause of this issue. he didn't consider himself a funny or amusing person to be around, and so he tended to just slip under the radar.

but, since they're here in this place, posing as firefighters for basically charity— he figures it'd be appropriate to at least share a few words. so he speaks genuinely...

except only two words come out: ] Good work. [ why is this so reserved like something a boss would say to their employee...

it's dry, but inoffensive at least? ]

Huh?

[ Yuji doesn't expect to be spoken to - he was essentially planning on just getting on with things, and then head out to find Kugisaki or Fushiguro. He doesn't really think the things he's doing are noticeable, either, standing there with a cat and a jacket as if it means anything, even with his chest bared. He's not necessarily trying to keep his strength to himself, but he's not broadcasting it either.

He could've put a person on his shoulders for the calendar, but that might have been a little more embarrassing.

Looking over, he brightens a little, offering a grin. ]

Yeah? Thanks! Have you had your go yet?

[ it's been a while since he's been greeted so cheerfully, and without anything actually given on his part to deserve it. well, he supposed outside of hargaan, most people ended up displaying their enmity if just because yuwon wasn't exactly the type who made friends. so maybe it's due in part to this, but his initial response ends up being stalled by a few seconds.

as if he were processing. ] I did. Can't say it was to the photographer's standards. [ but, when they ask you to slide down the firefighter pole, was there any real attractive way to do that? ]

But, I can say with confidence, I didn't break any eggs. [ which he thinks could have been from experience??? except, this isn't exactly anything to write in his resume. ]

[ Yuji remains that kind of person, trying to let his natural optimism come to the surface and keep him going in the strangeness of this new world. He's enjoying messing around with animals and in photography, and if that means he's a little more chipper than other people, then he's happy to accept that mantle. It's better than everyone being upset, isn't it?

He didn't really see Yuwon's photograph take place, but the mention of the pole makes his eyes widen a little. ]

You got to go down it? That's cool.

[ And he just posed with a cat...

- Wait. ]

... Eggs?

[ that would be a normal question, wouldn't it? between his egg from back at home, which would eventually hatch into god knows what... and how natural it began to feel in its presence, he almost forgot how peculiar it was. no, maybe he wanted to forget. instead of awkwardly trying to explain it away, he continues as if were completely normal. ]

The eggs. They had cartons that we were supposed to pose with or juggle.

[ a pause.

maybe he should justify it. ] ... Easter?

[ is it time to bring back the pole into the conversation? ]

... Easter?

[ Isn't that normally more like candy stuff? Yuji is still so clearly baffled, looking at Yuwon as if more explanation is going to come. When it doesn't, he blinks, leaning his head back before he nods sagely.

Maybe it does all make sense here, in this strange, weird world. ]

It could be a local thing, I guess... Eggs...

[ His brain is really trying to work this one out. ]

[yuwon]

It's better to adapt to the culture here. [ says yuwon very seriously, despite not actually believing any of this actually holding any water. he figures it was easier to accept than to needlessly think about. but, now he feels a little bad for misleading his only co-worker. ]

Didn't you also have a friend with you? [ is he talking about an actual friend...

or the cat? he leaves that up for debate. ]

[ That... Doesn't help either. Are eggs the culture here? Maybe it's better not to ask, just in case he gets even more confused. Instead, he nods along, sagely, as if it all makes sense to him, and he's come to a world-shattering realisation.

But - oh, hm. ]

Do you mean the cat? Yeah, Fushiguro took it back to the vet place. I guess they wanted to use it as a cute prop?

[ there's probably something amiss here if they're using cats as props, but who knows. maybe it was to increase awareness for the the shelters. not that yuwon actually thinks it matters. ]

Glad no one forgot about him. [ despite the boy seeming younger, it seemed he was also pretty responsible. maybe it made sense he was friends with megumi as well. ] You both seem close. [ not that it's a bad thing. especially, in a place like this, he could see how having a companion would be advantageous. ]

[ Blame Fushiguro. He liked the cat.

Yuji can't stop petting the thing, though, and he tilts his head up to look at Yuwon before he nods. ]

With Fushiguro? Yeah, he's one of my best friends. Him and Kugisaki.

[ And he looks genuinely happy to know they're both here and safe for now. ]

Best friends? So you come from the same place together? [ not to say being best friends with someone you just met isn't possible, but as far as he was aware, most close friendships tended be forged from following a similar path. he half-wonders if this is just him projecting at this point, but he supposed no harm done. it's not like he was accusing him of a crime. ]

Yeah, that's right. We're in the same year at school.

[ The only ones in their year, but that isn't the point, is it? ]

I'm glad we can all be here together.

[ he almost forgot about the concept of school entirely.

oddly enough, he's not sure he can envision them as students. though, that's likely to no fault of their own. listen, sometimes you're just not equipped with a great imagination. ] Yeah. Can't say if it was better for you to stay as students, [ lol, little does he know. ] but this place hasn't been too shitty so far.

[ comparably... ] Though, I don't know how to feel about the downtime.

We weren't really doing any learning at the moment. Things were more important than that.

[ Trying to save the world from one of the worst curses in history does that to you. ]

It's fine being here, but I wish there was more I could be doing. It feels weird to be just sitting around.

[ learning, huh? honestly, yuwon feels in a situation like this, he should be the adult in confirming the necessities of the school system, but he doesn't actually believe in that, and so he bites whatever typical response a reasonable person may have said.

there probably wasn't anything reasonable about their mutual circumstances in being here anyway. ] It's definitely different. I kept myself pretty busy back at home, so I can't say I don't understand how you feel.

Have you tried exploring?

[ When was the last time he had an actual school lesson? He doesn't remember... Thanks Gojo-sensei...

Nodding his head, Yuji stretches his arms up. ]

Yeah! It's still a little similar to Tokyo back home, so it's been fun to see what things are totally different and what are nearly the same.

[yuwon]

[ it's always fascinating to meet someone who also comes from earth and who recognizes the same cities (albeit, he's never explicitly been abroad). sometimes he forgets that's the way it probably should be and would have been were he not displaced into the world of the tower. so he his lips curve upwards, more in irony than anything actually funny yuji said, but it's true that his energy was hard to hate. ]

I've never been, so it's still pretty new to me. [ so it's nice to know others find it far more familiar. especially, if they were going to be coworkers... both under LILITH and here. ] Good changes, or bad? [ he figures it was worth asking.

who knows how his city looked like. even if they both came from earth, he doubts it's exactly as he remembers it. ]
