( open. ) firefighter calendar mingle!
WHO: everyone!
WHAT: the firefighters put out a calendar every year and guess who is getting everyone involved.
WHERE: the venue for the photoshoot, somewhere in the city.
WHEN: within the first week of their arrival.
WARNINGS: nudity or partial nudity? will update warnings as they come.
The firefighters are looking for models to assist in their yearly calendar. Last year due to some mishaps, they missed the due date for this beloved tradition in the city, and so are not looking to really make sure everything is flawless this year. Since is no error for mistakes, they are even recruiting people to model as firefighters, as well as looking for people who can act as temporary photographers— in a city as busy as this one, it isnβt always easy booking a photographer for certain time slots.β¨
everyone is free to put up their top levels and tag around as they see fit. you can see it as you were messaged by someone randomly on the network about an opportunity to make additional kyptos, or they could have even found an ad. whatever works!

1. As a photographer they are tasked to make the calendar spicy, but also unique! They figure one of the best selling points is variety. No more poses, the more avant-garde, the weirder even, the better! Like if your thing is posing with a carton of eggs, you do you!NOTE: hi, this is the log for the firefighter calendar!
2. Models are incentivized and even ranked (this is arbitrary, so I leave that all to you), so maybe this can also lift the competitive spirit of some! Or maybe you just really want to make some extra kryptos!
3. Outside of photographers and models, also looking for people who can enhance the overall experience. Do coffee runs for everyone, while also hyping or judging the models! Whatever they say fit! People can even stumble into these roles thinking they were here for a completing different reason! Or go out on an errand to come back and suddenly everyone is not as they once were.
4. Just have fun and free to make up your own scenarios! Even if it's walking in like π§ββοΈ I thought this was a pizza party.

Is it? I mean, anyone can just sit back and look pretty in front of a camera.
[ and yet she not a fan of it, with the way she wrinkles her nose at that. but hey, at least there's free food. ]
no subject
He scoffs a little bit of laughter. ]
Anyone can sit back, you mean. Looking pretty is a whole different game.
[ And then, a sly grin creeps on his face and i am so sorry this is tag number one and here i goβ¦β¦β¦β¦ ]
Iβm sure it was effortless for you, sweetheart.

as for her vitals, ishmael just seems ordinary on the surface, though he might've noticed a multitude of scars scattered across her arms as a natural result of her endless battles, and not to mention a distinct scent of sea salt -- a smell that she can never get rid of, no matter how hard she tries.
anyway, he's getting a really blank, unimpressed look for that. being called sweetheart is weird, bro. don't make this seem even weirder than it already is. ]
Not really. I don't even know the first thing to posing for the camera. They had more issue with my hair, than --
[ she cuts herself off right there before she vents even more. sorry, toji. ]
Well, we aren't all that gifted with good looks. So I'd say you got off better.
no subject
[ oh my god... heel, Toji..
But he's definitely taken notice of all her battle scars and that scent of the sea salt.. which is surprising and unexpected. Did this girl come from the ocean? Or something? ]
Did you not like having the camera on you?
[ it was pretty obvious that Toji was eating it all up.. ]
no subject
[ she's never sounded so deadpan. though in all honesty, no one's ever tried to rizz her up before. not because she doesn't have the looks, but virtually nobody in the city, especially in the sea that she's from has time for that. ]
Well, I wouldn't say that I hate it that much. I'm just not used to the entire concept of modeling. Aren't you?
[ the guy's physique tells her that he can't help but flaunt what he has, tbh... ]
no subject
Not at all, but I'm flattered you think that I am.
[ she never said that???
how did this man get married twice?]Mmmm.. my body is used for killing, not modeling. Though.. if it gives me some money, why not. Can't say that I didn't like the attention.
[ Because, well.. he was raised being ostracized by his family; he's not really sure what it feels like to somehow be affirmed. ]
no subject
the mention of killing does pique her interest, finally. she turns her head at him. ]
Mercenary? Huh. I guess some mercenaries can take up jobs like that if they have the looks for it... I think we're only allowed to kill the monsters of this world, though.
no subject
[ SIR THIS IS A WENDY'S... ]
Everyone is pissed off about being here. I think it's better than where I came from.
[ He's got nothing to go back home to. No wife anymore. He doesn't have to take responsibility for his son. No friends. No family anymore since he left them. Most of all, he feels less of an outcast here. For once, more people have no cursed energy.
Just like him. ]

well, that's fine. it isn't like she doesn't have blood on her hands, nor has she experienced the exhilarating feeling of bloodlust coursing through her veins. she knew it all too well.
so she hums in acknowledgment, stashes both her hands in her pockets. ]
You aren't wrong about that. It is a lot better here, sort of. [ any world is better than the city she's from, lbr. ] What kind of place did you come from if it's that bad, anyway?
no subject
He was forced to learn.
Maybe it was just his circumstances that were bad. He clicks his tongue; it's pretty obvious he's not going to share that much. Toji loves enlightening conversation, though. ]
An unfair world with a lot of death. I'm just trying to survive.
[ but maybe don't listen to me, i'm ashu the toji apologist ]
no subject
that and, frankly, his answer is way too boring. she raises an incredulous brow at him. ]
And? I think most of us came from worlds with a lot of death, and most of us were trying to survive just to see another day too. What's so special about yours?
[ she would know. and so far, none of the worlds she's heard about is as bad as hers. but maybe she's just desensitized from everything she's seen at this point. ]

[ He knows too much about curses and he doesn't really like talking about it with someone who probably wouldn't understand. Thankfully, the timeline he's taken from, he's unaware there's some dude out there trying to commit mass genocide and rid the world of non-sorcerers.
Ignorance is a bliss. ]
They're called cursed spirits and they come from people's negative emotions. Some people contain their cursed energy and use it to exorcise them. Help people who can't, I guess.

Oh, that guy was saying something. She wasn't listening in the slightest. ]
I'll give you a voucher for free coffee if you get me a beer. So I can forget this nonsense.
[ She doubts this will be that easy, but hey, there's a slip for just such a coffee in her hands! The manager asked her to pass them out but she...forgot. She's partially joking anyway but the beer is also just an excuse to get rid of him so she can bail. ]
no subject
[ Is this girl joking? He just got paid! Like hell he's gonna blow it all on alcohol first thing.. he'd rather blow it all on, well, you know. Pachinko and stuff like that.
Toji sizes her up a bit and then, yeah, he remembers, this was the girl at the simulation arena. ]
I don't think that's a fair exchange.
[ aka sweeten the deal.. ]
no subject
Such as?
[ Mentally, she's already guessing she'll have to take out her wallet. ]
no subject
[ Which is ... also not fair at all. A beer in exchange for dinner? That's not equal value at all. The way he responds with such confidence is.. hilarious. ]
I'm lonely too, you know.
[ take that how you want, Lucy.. ]
no subject
It's also easily the first time anyone's said something like that to her? So she's struck for what to say. For a moment, at least. Before her default mode kicks in again. ]
Don't make fun of me.
no subject
[ Toji would say he is too, but he's gotten used to the ridicule by now. ]
You're not a human, are you?
no subject
She eyes him from the side, her chin tilted down just so. ]
What was the first clue?
no subject
[ A pause, and then: ]
You also smell different.
[ Of course, not in any way that the average person can tell. His nose is just special. ]
no subject
Nothing wrong with the way I smell. [ She hasn't the slightest idea how he could even tell. He's human, isn't he? ] So what if I'm not human, then? What're you going to do about it?
no subject
no subject
Maybe he's just making fun of her again. It wouldn't be the first time. Probably won't be the last time. ]
I'm sure you don't... [ She crosses her arms, her tongue touching her cheek as she tries not to take anything he says seriously. ] You're not funny.
