WHO: everyone!
WHAT: the firefighters put out a calendar every year and guess who is getting everyone involved.
WHERE: the venue for the photoshoot, somewhere in the city.
WHEN: within the first week of their arrival.
WARNINGS: nudity or partial nudity? will update warnings as they come.

The firefighters are looking for models to assist in their yearly calendar. Last year due to some mishaps, they missed the due date for this beloved tradition in the city, and so are not looking to really make sure everything is flawless this year. Since is no error for mistakes, they are even recruiting people to model as firefighters, as well as looking for people who can act as temporary photographers— in a city as busy as this one, it isn’t always easy booking a photographer for certain time slots. 

1. As a photographer they are tasked to make the calendar spicy, but also unique! They figure one of the best selling points is variety. No more poses, the more avant-garde, the weirder even, the better! Like if your thing is posing with a carton of eggs, you do you!
2. Models are incentivized and even ranked (this is arbitrary, so I leave that all to you), so maybe this can also lift the competitive spirit of some! Or maybe you just really want to make some extra kryptos!
3. Outside of photographers and models, also looking for people who can enhance the overall experience. Do coffee runs for everyone, while also hyping or judging the models! Whatever they say fit! People can even stumble into these roles thinking they were here for a completing different reason! Or go out on an errand to come back and suddenly everyone is not as they once were.
4. Just have fun and free to make up your own scenarios! Even if it's walking in like 🧍‍♂️ I thought this was a pizza party.

everyone is free to put up their top levels and tag around as they see fit. you can see it as you were messaged by someone randomly on the network about an opportunity to make additional kyptos, or they could have even found an ad. whatever works!

[ How did he end up here, in the middle of fire station he definitely doesn't work, halfway to taking off his shirt just because some guy whose name he only just learned is telling him to?

It's a long story. (It's not.) ]

THE CAKE.

[ Regardless! Here he is, shirtless but thankfully not pantless (because no one wants to see (bijou voice) his sack), loitering nearby the other models as he watches the ongoing photoshoot with interest. They do have kameras back in Fontaine, but (once again) the level of technology here far outclasses that of what he's used to.

His body is a network of scars, crisscrossing over his arms and chest, with three prominent slashes running down his throat. He doesn't seem to mind any attention his way though, simply meeting the other person's gaze with a raised eyebrow and a mild smile. ]

It's not even my turn up there yet and you're already staring? I'm flattered.

THE TEA.

[ He is, thankfully, at least wearing a shirt by now, though the fact that it's left open past his collarbones leaves something to be desired. (Or does it....>) He doesn't seem bothered by his impropriety as he picks up one of the cartons of tea off the snack table, nose wrinkling as he brings it close to his face for a good sniff. Eugh. ]

You'd think they'd have something a little better on offer for all the work we're putting in.

[ HIS TEA COLLECTION.....damn, he misses it so bad and it's barely even been a week. But hey that's why he's here, sexualizing himself for the enjoyment of others. It's not any worse than the work he's had to do in the past. If anything, it's objectively better. All he has to do is stand around, contort his body here and there, and put on a dazzling smile. And if all eyes are on him for the duration of his impromptu modeling....well, it's not any different from the stares he gets in the Fortress.

Putting the tea carton back down, he remarks casually: ]

I'd go for the coffee if I were you.

( in this route, she's not modeling. oh no, no. getting her to do away with her comfortable layers to show off a bit of skin for the sake of a pinup calendar of sorts is going to take a little more than a pretty please. instead, she's offering direction! and maybe some mild forms of coercion for those less inclined to volunteer to be a model. her specialty. everyone say thank you kafka. )

( with warm honey for inflection and soft whisper for tone, she isn't shy about redirecting the attention of the models she's working with. there's difference in being aware of the lenses, and being wary of them. she would know, wouldn't she? ever the performer, the art of drawing the eye is one she's keenly aware of for someone who shouldn't be noticed.

maybe she's brushing a lock of hair away, or maybe she's thumbing over a nervously clenched jaw. for those more inclined to irritation, she smiles simply like she knows she might get bitten even as she smooths her palm down a tense shoulder. whatever the case may be, her range for direction varies from verbal to something a little closer. it depends. but the goal is to draw out something people can't get their eyes off of, right? )

( look at her, so helpful. with everyone working as hard as they are to make the best compiled thirst trap of the year, surely a drink or two for the parched masses is warranted, right? so here she is, cold drink in hand, doing the thing bastards do when they want a little attention.

and presses the cool surface of her offering to the cheek of the new apple of her eye.

it could be worse, especially if said subject is less dressed than others. the back of the neck, the small of the back, anywhere that wouldn't otherwise be suddenly subject to freezing cold - it'd be quite the rude greeting! and yet she acts like she's done nothing wrong, her smile friendly and easy as always. )

( Yep, this seemed about right. Sacrificing his dignity for a few bucks to supplement his pathetic stipend, and unbuttoning his shirt in front of a room full of strangers? Not... the worst thing he's done for money. Perhaps just the most embarrassing.

Flashiness was practically antithetical to his being, really. But in spite of it all, he was taking his job seriously. Eyes boring into the camera, wearing his best poe-faced expression, as the photographer hands him various props to pose with in suggestive positions. He's attempting to have fun with it, though his enthusiasm is rather lacking. )

( ...Ah, the fruits of his labor. The promised free food (some absolutely greasy pizza) and drink. He's wallflowering by this point, leaning his back against the nearest wall and taking a sip of his soda.

If approached, he attempts to make a passing remark, clearly lacking at small talk. )

PROPS

[ the concept of acting out a role wasn’t entirely unfamiliar to yuwon. every floor of the tower had its own structure, culture, and way of life. naturally, one had to have some ability to meld into it all in order to be an effective player. hence, he adopts a similar mentality here. he decides to remain as low-key as he could. simply meeting the standards and expectations that were set, including but limited to, living his “civilian life" in full

but, who could have predicted being a firefighter somehow translated into this.

to be honest, he can’t recall if these sorts of conventions were truly that commonplace on his version of earth, but he decides not to question it. besides, for the most part, yuwon tended to be impervious to shame. (luckily). so instead, here he is, shirtless, rubbing the back of his head as he’s peering through the props.

he picks up the suspenders, then the axe, and then looks at the carton of eggs, handcuffs, and even a fake model of a puppy…? he seems a bit bewildered, before he turns to the person next to him— ] What are you picking? [ lol,

if you don't want the worst prop available, don't ask him for his opinion. ]

MODEL

[ it’s one thing to model for someone and another thing to model with someone.

somehow he’s been ushered into doing a joint shoot with a virtual stranger (or brief acquaintance?). honestly, while he mostly involved others for the benefit of him having less of the limelight on himself, he didn’t quite piece together how that didn’t exactly absolve him from these responsibilities entirely.

shit you only think of in the aftermath…

that said, he does try and make swift work of it. presuming it’d be better to get the bulk of their requests done in a timely manner than awkwardly dragging it out. hence, he does his best to come in close, even pressing his hands against their waist. ] I’m not exactly a funny guy, but it’d help if you smiled. [ says this hypocrite who full well knows he’s a hypocrite. ]

AFTERMATH

[ thinking it the perfect time to unwind, he plops down on a seat, his hands reaching for a bottle of water. before, turning to the person next to him: ] How was it? [ this is probably vague enough where it could come off as him asking about his own performance…

or asking how the overall experience was. regardless, he offers a shrug soon after, passing over his water as if asking if they want a sip. ]

THE SHOOT.

[ Yuji is, before anything else, actually a teenager, so he's a little more careful about his posing and outfit choices if only because he feels a little bit weird otherwise. Maybe the first weird thing is having a teenager working as a firefighter to begin with, but given all the missions that he did at home... Maybe it doesn't make that big of a difference, in the end.

Either way, he decides to be a little less daring than some of the others might be, especially since he doesn't really know what he should be doing. Spicy, weird... None of that make sense to him, but he's been given a cat to hold and that makes things a little bit better?

In the end, Yuji stands in his firefighter uniform, with the shirt deliberately left open to show off the intensity of his muscles as he grins, holding the cat close to his chest. The cat makes everything a lot better. As soon as he's done, he steps to one side, cuddling her and pressing their faces together. ]

That wasn't so bad, was it? I wonder if they'll make me do it again...

FOOD TIME.

[ There are a handful of things that will get Yuji Itadori motivated, and good food is one of them.

He still has the cat with him (there's definitely someone looking for it beginning to panic somewhere) and he's talking to it in a soft voice as he holds a plate in his other hand, as if they're sharing some kind of secret. If nothing else, he looks a little bit like he's having too much fun gossiping with a cat and not enough fun mingling, which is probably a little understandable, given what's happened to them all. ]

No, I don't think you can eat pizza... Or cake, stop that...

[ He pulls the plate away from the cat with a shake of his head, hefting it up onto his shoulders absently. ]

Shall we go and find you something to eat? There might be some fish or something, c'mon...

[ And then he's off to explore the food again, despite having barely eaten any of his own so far. ]

the photographer

All right then. That pose is fine, but raise your head a little more, please.

[How about having the most polite photographer around? Shalem smiles, expression soft despite the tired circles under his eyes. Then he lowers the camera, allowing it to hang from his neck via the strap, and heads towards his current model.] Are you uncomfortable? Is it the clothes, or the hair?

Please bear with it a little, otherwise the make-up might fade or wipe off, and we'll have to take longer. Don't worry, I'll watch out for you, hm?

[Look, he wants this done quickly so they can move on. The dark circles on his face are not for show, after all. He's tired... and, well, a bit uncomfortable with the amount of people and noise in this one building.]

modeling

[The thing about Shalem's pretty face and preference for covering up is that he's hiding what he actually looks like-- he's actually kinda jacked, hence why the firefighters are insistent on having him model as well. He really can't fight against the horde when they're unanimous like this. And have a number of handsome, well-built men around as well.

He is a weak, weak man.

So here he is, hair tied up in a neater tail than usual, scarred arms bare, and cleavage scandalously exposed, posing for the camera. For his photographer however, if he notices them having trouble just trying to find the right angles or simply getting shots they're happy with, he'll wander over with his hands behind his back, curious, and a little amused.]

It's not as easy as it seems, does it? [he chuckles softly, but it's not meant to be condescending in any way.] We could take a break and I'll give you a few tips, or perhaps we could continue, and I'll pose the way I want to, and you needn't do much but press the shutter. What do you say?

[ to be fair, yuwon did say that he'll hit ishmael up if he hears of any good ways of making kryptos. and while she did say she doesn't really care much for money unlike her coworker, she's curious enough to check out what's up and before she knew it, she's being whisked away to become some kind of model against her will.

well, partially against her will. she does need some more money, and she's certainly no stranger to being doused with water. it's just that -- ]

That's out of the question. [ she crosses her exposed arms, her freckled skin covered in an assortment of scars. she doesn't seem to mind showing skin if she's in a crop top and other things, seeing as every fixer has them... ] I don't care what hairstyle you have in mind, I'm not taking off this headband.

[ the makeup artist tries convincing her some more, but ishmael just won't budge. and after telling her that she needs to get her mane straightened out before her turn in five minutes, ishmael heaves out an annoyed sigh, and turns to anyone who happens to watch this debacle. ]

I don't even know what they have against my hair. It's the closest thing we have to fire. [ har har. ] Well? Do you have any suggestions?

[ needless to say, the photoshoot went... okay. ishmael is very much out of her element though, and by the end of her turn, she's completely exhausted. and she thought fighting abnormalities is tiring...

at least she's wearing her warm clothing now that it's over. she wrinkles her nose at the food being served though, and she stashes both her hands into her coat pockets for warmth. ]

Sorry, I'm going to go drink myself to a stupor tonight.

[ the deadpan way she delivers it may sound like she's just joking, but she's dead serious. she needs to be blackout drunk in order to forget what happened today. yuwon kim you are dead to her. ]

Arrival

[Listen. Taryon is well aware of the fact that he is an attractive man, and anyone would appreciate an opportunity to witness his handsomness, in person or not. Partaking in photography for the greater good sounds like a fun time, and he has to see this technology in action. The camera function on his implant has not yet lost his novelty, and he wants to see how the professionals set up their perfect shot.

The problem is that he was expecting...more clothes. Firefighters cover their entire body while on the job. So here he comes, thinking of ways to stylize the uniform to be more attractive, and there's people walking around without any shirts.

Some people are just fine with this apparently.

He stands at the door, watching everyone pick out props and undo buttons on their clothing, wondering what the hell he got himself into.]

Helping

[With some better understanding of the situation and a few mishaps, Taryon eventually settles into an assistant role. Need someone to run and grab coffee and cookies? He's got that covered. Need a hand arranging the scenery? Taryon volunteers before someone asks. He's going to make himself as useful as possible. By now, the entire concepts is less intimidating, and Tary finds himself near the photographers, watching others work out their poses and offering his unsolicited advice.]

001.

[At first, she was trying to see what the 'catch' was when someone is offering this job while she was passing by. Extra kryptos are always welcome to come into her pockets, but sometimes things are too good to be true or there is always something off. There is always a 'catch' while working in The City. A little bit of looking around and watching everyone else, she ends up joining in; it's not often she gets to show her body off.

If anyone is a fan of 6ft curvy women with some muscle and a large set of breasts, congrats, there is one right here for your viewing pleasure. Thanks to the sporty crop top she is wearing, you can notice the scars scattered around her torso and arms along with her tattoo sticking out. She actually got her hair put up in a high ponytail for once, which feels really weird and she is fiddling with her hair as she is waiting for her turn in front of the camera. She kind of stares out in the air a little bit, but once someone takes notice of her, she is quick to get out of her trance and smile at them.]

Hiya~ If you want to keep staring, be my guest. I know, I know, I am sight for sore eyes, right? [At least she's got the confidence in herself to do this type of work.] I'm free if you want to chat a little bit. I don't bite.

1. THE JOB

_{[ A. Although Toji would rather be out killing people for money, it's hard for him to resist hoe-ing himself out for some extra cash, especially since money was so slim here on arrival. Maybe you saw him during orientation, or in the simulation, or from the festive hologram pop up ad that Kakashi made for him. Either way, he's here to barely work and get paid for it because that's what he's all about.

Maybe he's posing with you-- he has a pose that he favors a good bit, or if there's a firefighter pole around, he's going to be latched onto that. As for his outfit, he's in trousers held up by a set of suspenders that are a bit too small and nothing else. Pose with him? Tell him to stop hogging all the attention? They have gotten enough photos of him already!

B. Alternatively, he'll be by the snack table, eating what he can. He's fast, so if there was that last snack that someone might be eyeballing, he's gonna snatch it out from under their nose. ]}

2. THE BREAK

_{[ Nothing much to say here other than the fact he's sitting on the ground with his head kicked back, still in his skimpy little outfit, and... he's asleep. Passed out. Completely zonked like any freeloader would be while on the job. You're welcome to disturb him or take a nap with him. Being in the model business is hard work! ]}

3. LEFTOVERS

_{[ For the walk back home to base, Toji is going to take as much leftover food as he can, stuffing it in his firefighter pant pockets. He's got a shirt on now, at least, and he's making his way out on the streets. Maybe someone else is on their way out too and would like to be escorted back. Whether you want his attention or not, he does look over at anyone who might be nearby: ]}

[ Lucy's not having a fun time of things. She's too tense whether she's leaning on the thankfully not at all sharp fire axe or the fireman pole. It's not because of the outfit. She doesn't mind the bikini or the heavier than it looks fire jacket over top of it. It's just finally hitting her that people might see her on this calendar. Her.

So yeah, she's blanching something fierce and scowling instead of smiling. ]

"Not even one smile?!"

I told you...it's difficult.

[ The photographers have had enough and turn to the nearest model(-to-be) because surely someone else can help with this?? ]

"Alright, you get in there with her or something."

[ She's regretting this entire night. The whole thing. So as soon as the shoot's over, Lucy's bailing outside. It's like ten years have been siphoned off her life for how drained she looks. ]
