WHO: everyone!
WHAT: the firefighters put out a calendar every year and guess who is getting everyone involved.
WHERE: the venue for the photoshoot, somewhere in the city.
WHEN: within the first week of their arrival.
WARNINGS: nudity or partial nudity? will update warnings as they come.

The firefighters are looking for models to assist in their yearly calendar. Last year due to some mishaps, they missed the due date for this beloved tradition in the city, and so are not looking to really make sure everything is flawless this year. Since is no error for mistakes, they are even recruiting people to model as firefighters, as well as looking for people who can act as temporary photographers— in a city as busy as this one, it isn’t always easy booking a photographer for certain time slots.


1. As a photographer they are tasked to make the calendar spicy, but also unique! They figure one of the best selling points is variety. No more poses, the more avant-garde, the weirder even, the better! Like if your thing is posing with a carton of eggs, you do you!
2. Models are incentivized and even ranked (this is arbitrary, so I leave that all to you), so maybe this can also lift the competitive spirit of some! Or maybe you just really want to make some extra kryptos!
3. Outside of photographers and models, also looking for people who can enhance the overall experience. Do coffee runs for everyone, while also hyping or judging the models! Whatever they say fit! People can even stumble into these roles thinking they were here for a completing different reason! Or go out on an errand to come back and suddenly everyone is not as they once were.
4. Just have fun and free to make up your own scenarios! Even if it's walking in like 🧍‍♂️ I thought this was a pizza party.

everyone is free to put up their top levels and tag around as they see fit. you can see it as you were messaged by someone randomly on the network about an opportunity to make additional kyptos, or they could have even found an ad. whatever works!

From the state of the location when I came in, I thought that the expectations were already understood. You're a member of the firefighting squad, are you not? Then you should have been more prepared.

[He looks to where Tary is emphatically gesturing, but Nanami doesn't shift position or bat an eye. Instead, he follows up his statement:]

That employee seems ready to do what is required. Are you saying that you're intimidated by conditions for success?

[He points to himself with a shakong finger.]

Do I look like I have the fortitude to match these guys?! I thought we were taking normal pictures! [His voice is at a harsh whisper, so the workers can't hear him but clearly tell he's upset.] Are we- do we have to strip to get paid? Is this how it works? Does everyone think it's normal out here?

You thought "festive fiery photos" indicated a normal photoshoot?

[He hums softly. That's fascinating.]

Regardless, you don't have to worry about other people. The point is to submit your own look, and it seems that there's a minimum of discretion to match the theme, so you don't have to subject yourself to nudity. And if human nature is to be assumed here, there is a taste for every type. They'll appreciate the variety.

It's- they're firefighters. I thought "fiery" was part of the joke. They don't do this where I'm from. [Tary doesn't run intk the right people, that's the problem.] But you sound like you have a lot of experience with calendar modeling.

[Sir, please. He shouldn't need to explain these things. He doesn't want to explain these things to a grown man. And Nanami looks skeptical when Tary says his world doesn't do things like this. That definitely sounds false.]

[They have banker calendars?? Who wants to see crusty old men in seductive poses? What kind of place is the modern world?]

I don't...[He stops, folds his hands, and holds them to his mouth to think. Apparently, Taryon is the only one in this entire room that's confused about the setup. Everyone came here with the expectation that their picture would be used for erotic purposes. They were fine with strangers watching them. Most of the outsiders, he's figured out, are from eras that are familiar with this sort of technology - or at least more familiar than Taryon is. This has to be a common enough occurrence in the far future where you don't have to be an adventurer to be comfortable getting naked for any reason. Is it him? Is he the strange one for feeling this way?]

You're not joking. This is normal. [A deep breath. This is not the time to chicken out of a daring quest.] And you're doing it, too.

Alright. [This is horrible. Stressful. Scandalous.]

[His irritation senses are buzzing. He can't tell what Taryon is thinking, but he knows Gojo, and knowing Gojo has honed Nanami's skill for sensing when someone's silence means they are thinking of something he doesn't want to hear. Thankfully, although he frowns, Taryon doesn't actually say anything that offensive.

He actually seems like he's genuinely under duress. Ah.]

Normal would be a strong word. It's typically considered a stunt. People working for organizations like this will sell products they know other people find attractive in order to maximize their sales. Fire departments, for example, use the funds to support the work they do. Typically participation is also voluntary. They don't pressure their employees unless they're scum.

[He doesn't actually want anyone to suffer.]

You've misunderstood my presence. I'm not a member of the fire department. My name is Nanami Kento. I'm just passing through.

[He even bows. It's probably the least he can do.]

[In hindsight, he could have walked right past or out the door without drawing any attention to himself. But the problem is that Taryon is a stubborn man when he has a goal in mind, especially if it's for a greater purpose. This is going to fund a public service. People will purchase a booklet of hot people and think about all the good the local fire brigade has done. But would they care if they all looked the same? Could they not add a bit of refinement to their image?]

Mr. Kento. [He's being so polite that Taryon has to reply in kind.] Thank you for your explanation. I will ask around for more information and decide what I'll do. [Taryon gives him a short bow in return - though it's more of a quick nod.] I should...let you to your business, then.

I'd prefer Nanami.

[He looks a little concerned, but apparently the man must have figured out something from what he said. He has the look of a person with some kind of plan, and whatever that is, it must be important. He steps back, nodding in return.]

In that case, excuse me for interrupting.

[He's still polite as he withdraws.]

[And thus, the mysterious, wise man leaves the scene as quietly as he arrived. Taryon will not forget his words of encouragement and keep this conversation in mind as he assists the models and photographers.

Nanami seems like a cool, put-together guy. Tary must speak with him again.]
