WHAT: the firefighters put out a calendar every year and guess who is getting everyone involved.
WHERE: the venue for the photoshoot, somewhere in the city.
WHEN: within the first week of their arrival.
WARNINGS: nudity or partial nudity? will update warnings as they come.
The firefighters are looking for models to assist in their yearly calendar. Last year due to some mishaps, they missed the due date for this beloved tradition in the city, and so are not looking to really make sure everything is flawless this year. Since is no error for mistakes, they are even recruiting people to model as firefighters, as well as looking for people who can act as temporary photographers— in a city as busy as this one, it isnβt always easy booking a photographer for certain time slots.β¨
everyone is free to put up their top levels and tag around as they see fit. you can see it as you were messaged by someone randomly on the network about an opportunity to make additional kyptos, or they could have even found an ad. whatever works!

1. As a photographer they are tasked to make the calendar spicy, but also unique! They figure one of the best selling points is variety. No more poses, the more avant-garde, the weirder even, the better! Like if your thing is posing with a carton of eggs, you do you!NOTE: hi, this is the log for the firefighter calendar!
2. Models are incentivized and even ranked (this is arbitrary, so I leave that all to you), so maybe this can also lift the competitive spirit of some! Or maybe you just really want to make some extra kryptos!
3. Outside of photographers and models, also looking for people who can enhance the overall experience. Do coffee runs for everyone, while also hyping or judging the models! Whatever they say fit! People can even stumble into these roles thinking they were here for a completing different reason! Or go out on an errand to come back and suddenly everyone is not as they once were.
4. Just have fun and free to make up your own scenarios! Even if it's walking in like π§ββοΈ I thought this was a pizza party.

By checking out Ishmael in her crop top, apparently. It's a good look - he's not blind, after all - though he is admittedly more interested in her own scars, his gaze traveling over their uneven patterns across her skin. ]

[ He sounds the same as he always does - casual, almost teasing - so who can truly say if he's telling the truth or not. He lifts a hand, gesturing towards her own set of markings. Apparently he conveniently became hard of hearing as soon as she told him to stand still. ]

Hm? Mine? [ she looks down and... oh. those. ] Yeah, it's unavoidable. The Great Lake isn't really the safest place in the City. But I don't get why we have to expose skin for this photoshoot if we're supposed to be fighting fires.
[ she'd also gotten some of these scars from constantly dying gruesome deaths and reviving all the time, but that's way too many details to merely relay to someone she'd just met. something something about how some scars won't simply fade away. ]

Didn't I tell you? [ He didn't tell her SHIT. ] The place I lived was next to the sea. Lots of terrors living down in the depths, ready to take a bite out of you if you happen to be so unlucky as to fall in. Monsters are still monsters, whether on land or sea.
[ Not a complete lie. Even if he's never encountered anything terrifying personally, there's enough unexplored terrority out in the waters that the presence of something ready to tear his face in two is more than probable. Not that he'll ever find out now. But that's fine, he likes keeping his skin.
As for these fires they're supposed to be fighting... ]
From what I can gather, this whole affair seems to be more catered towards earning a large profit than any sort of life saving mission. I'm trying to figure out how to work this camera. I know how to use it, but I just couldn't get the lighting right. [ now that he's standing still, she's going to snap a photo there and check out the result after. ] It's too bright for my liking, is all.

I wouldn't say it's that much better. There might not be any whales [ that he's seen ] but you do develop a terrible rash if you swim in the waters for too long.

[ In that, they can both agree. Maybe on the sunbathing bit too, the idea of being able to just lounge out in the sun without any repurcussion lodging itself into his brain with surprising force. Maybe he can make a trip out to the beaches one of these days, while things are still slow. ]

Hopefully it won't be like the Waves I'm familiar with back home. We don't even know what kind of laws this world's waters have. Maybe if we ask the staff to give us more variety in monsters to fight in the simulations...

He doesn't smile, partly because he's not in the habit of doing what other people tell him without question but mostly because he's still preoccupied with her brief stumble, an out of sorts pause coming from someone who has, up until now, remained largely self-assured despite the new surroundings they've been unceremoniously dumped into.

True. But it's not like I've fought with every monster or Whale out there. And frankly, I don't think many people are capable of taking down a Whale the first time and live to tell about it.
And I'm not saying that you or everyone else here are weak. I'm probably one of the weakest ones here in terms of prowess compared to the things the others are capable of. It's just that we can't afford to be lenient no matter what. In my experience, one single mistake is all it takes. Regardless, she has a point. There's enough chatter and hubbub surrounding them that their conversation's easily drowned out, but they should probably still be careful about what they say while they're out in public, surrounded by innocent bystanders. She's also not far off the money as far as his attention-seeking habits (or lack thereof) go.
