🌸 teen hanami mixer 🌸
WHO: The population of Outsiders ages 19 and under (and equivalent)
WHAT: A sakura viewing party!
WHERE: One of the choicest of picnic spots
WHEN: Afternoon of March 17th
WARNINGS: TEEN SHENANIGANS. If necessary this will be updated!
For those Outsiders on the younger side, Raidou has sent out a blanket text message to one and all inviting them to a hanami picnic at a park near the base. Everyone is encouraged to bring whatever snacks and entertainment they like, but it's not a requirement. Yukata are also encouraged but not required. This isn't anything formal, just a chance for everyone to hang out, for the newbie kids to get acquainted with their fellow Outsiders, and to get a little comeuppance on the adults who got to go out on a bar crawl without them all. The only rule is that adults will be turned away from sitting with them! Sorry, folks.
Raidou Kuzunoha is not exactly a person known for his social aptitude or party planning skills, and it's a miracle he's even come up with this idea, so it's definitely a good idea for people to bring want: food, drinks, games. Someone needs to sneak in the sake, because this straight-laced kid will not be. Not to fear if you come empty-handed though, as there are plenty of snack stalls nearby. Most of his efforts have gone into finding and securing the perfect spot for them to hang.
This log is for mingling top level comments for any kind of hanging out and activities. Whether you want your characters affected by the sakura hay fever is up to you. Have fun!

... Likewise. I was quite busy the last couple of seasons back home. I grew up in the mountains, so it was easy to appreciate them then. But when I moved to the Capital it took more of an effort. [And time he didn't have to spare.]

What made you leave your hometown? Was it for school?
no subject
[Raidou does recall some of the things Bakugo has told him about what their world was like.]
If I remember correctly, you all attended schools that helped you train with your, um Quirks, yes?
no subject
[And the questions begin. If it helps any, Izuku does seem really interested in the answers. Being a Summoner sounds so cool.]
Yeah. Kacchan and I attend U.A. High. It's one of the best hero schools in the country. And the place where our hero, All Might graduated from.

[It would be a lot to explain. It still feels so strange to be openly talking about all this - everything about summoners was veiled in secrecy, and very few knew about Raidou's true identity.]
So I find it fascinating that most people have these abilities where you're from, and even have schools for it. It's like the opposite of being a summoner.
no subject
[Since he gets to do things only 'certain' summoners can do.]
Things were different a long time ago, when quirks first started to appear. No one knew what was causing them and it started a bit of a panic. But now that a majority of the population has them it's become commonplace.
[Quirks have also become deeply embedded into society in ways people don't even consider anymore.]

[He hasn't felt much like a summoner since he got here. He tries to brush it off, though.]
That's... fascinating, really. [He means that, even if he's the line-facey type.] I wonder what it would be like if it were that way where I'm from. If there were more summoners, exorcists, onmyouji... [Would there be less demons around, or more?]
no subject
[Not so different from having a quirk, really. It's apart of someone, but without knowledge of how it works and practice in using and controlling it, it would be useless.]
You said it was the opposite in your world. Are they not many people who have the same abilities?
no subject
[All you folks with your amazing powers - that seems to be the most effective. He has no such thing, only his summoning and exorcising skills.]
Correct. Summoners and the like are few and far between. The Capital is a big city, and yet I'm the only summoner officially in charge of its protection. The other summoners do work there, but they often get called elsewhere when needed.
no subject
[As far as he knows anyways. The limits placed on his quirk aside, he's already faced some kaiju that his abilities don't easily weaken in the simulations. Which is where the teamwork has to come in.]
That makes what you do really important. If you stopped being a summoner it's not like there would be someone to take your place so easily. But it's probably a lot of work, too. Do you like being a Summoner?
no subject
[Teamwork is still a new thing to Raidou, and it's taken some adjustment. Even if he had his demons, it was much different than working with other fighters.
When asked that question, he smiles a little to himself.]
I do. It's a great honor to hold my position and title. Do you like being a hero?
no subject
Yeah. I mean, it's always been my dream. For a long time I thought that is all it would ever be. But I never stopped hoping that I would be able to do something that matters.
[He poured over every bit of information he could get about heroes and their quirks, desperately wanting to be apart of their world somehow.]
Did you always want to be a Summoner?
no subject
I was raised with the expectation of being one. Perhaps not one with a title, but... It's something I did decided to work towards a long time ago. It's... hard for me to imagine being anything else.
[Though that's exactly what he's been trying to do here. Redefine himself since he no longer feels much like a summoner anymore.]
