For those Outsiders on the younger side, Raidou has sent out a blanket text message to one and all inviting them to a hanami picnic at a park near the base. Everyone is encouraged to bring whatever snacks and entertainment they like, but it's not a requirement. Yukata are also encouraged but not required. This isn't anything formal, just a chance for everyone to hang out, for the newbie kids to get acquainted with their fellow Outsiders, and to get a little comeuppance on the adults who got to go out on a bar crawl without them all. The only rule is that adults will be turned away from sitting with them! Sorry, folks.

Raidou Kuzunoha is not exactly a person known for his social aptitude or party planning skills, and it's a miracle he's even come up with this idea, so it's definitely a good idea for people to bring want: food, drinks, games. Someone needs to sneak in the sake, because this straight-laced kid will not be. Not to fear if you come empty-handed though, as there are plenty of snack stalls nearby. Most of his efforts have gone into finding and securing the perfect spot for them to hang.

Speaking of... [ A small smirk curls at the edge of her mouth. ] Make sure to send Raidou any photos you take today. I'm sure he'll appreciate them.

I think it's a safe bet to assume two people are dating if you see them kissing in the hallway.

I thought we were alone!

[ This is mortifying, not just because they got caught but because Raidou is super private, so if he knows people saw them kissing... Oh boy.

Shaking his head, he holds his hands up. ]

I don't know if it's like that...

[saudadist]

So you just kiss anyone like that?

[ She doesn't sound judgemental is the thing. Just curious, and waiting for a good answer. With the gaze of an unimpressed shark. ]

[ He's covering his mouth now. He talked about this with March, but... Have they been boyfriends this whole time?? ]

[ Lucy's quiet again, her steps slow, but she does smile some as she looks away. She sighs, and that smile seems to grow wider for it. ]

That's a relief. Compared to when we first got here, he seems more relaxed. [ He still beats himself up for it, but one step at a time. ] I'm glad.

Do you think so?

[ Is he the one doing that? Making Raidou feel relaxed? He thinks he just causes problems, so... The smile that settles on his face is warm and fond. ]

That's good! It's a relief to hear it.

It's hard for me to understand him, honestly. He places a lot of value in things I can't wrap my head around.

[ She doubts she ever really could. Humans place so much emphasis on things that aren't tangible. They give strength to vague concepts rather than actions, and when those concepts crush them under their weight, they shrug and act as if it can't be helped. It makes no sense to her, but...if it matters that much, the least she can do is try to be supportive. ]

But he's started smiling more genuinely with you around. So...good job.

I understand where he is coming from on those things. We have a lot of similarities.

[ That's why he and Raidou started to get along in the first place. His duty as a Jujutsu Sorcerer warring with Raidou's as a Summoner, trying to figure out what all that even means here... It's been tricky and all he can say is that he's doing his best.

His embarrassment relaxes a little, though, and he looks... Pleased. ]

I'm really glad about that. I want him to smile as much as possible.

[ Relief. Such a weird thing to feel for someone else. Alien as it is, it's nice. More than she'd expect. Itadori is a kind person, and that he seems so happy to spend time with Raidou and vice versa does wonders for her nerves. Kind people deserve others who are just as kind. ]

Has he shown you what's under the hat yet?

[ Is that really a big deal? Yuji shakes his head, laughing softly, rubbing the back of his neck. ]

Yeah? A bunch of times. I've even taken it off him before.

[saudadist]

Hm...kind of disappointing he doesn't have any antennae or anything under there.

Never seen him without it so I was just curious.

Nope, it's just hair.

[ Is the hat really that big a deal... Yuji knows it's special, so he takes care of it, but... ]

He really doesn't take it off?

I've never seen him without it. Could've sworn he was balding early under it.

[ Not really, but she certainly shrugs and shakes her head as if she's been so put out by the mystery. ]

You're special indeed, then.

Special, huh...

[ Yuji grins, covering his mouth with his hand. ]

That's pretty cute.

You two do cut a cute figure.

[ She certainly never thought she'd say that about another pair of people. A weird but pleasant surprise. ]

[ He laughs awkwardly, but he's smiling. ]
