the first sign that something is Amiss is when Toji's hand lowers, the shift in position enough to draw a curious spark of choso's attention before the sudden squeeze takes him by surprise. for a moment, it isn't a problem. for a moment, it's just a warm small thing, not even a big one, just a gasp's worth. but then a gasp turns to a cough turns to a whole fit, choso's face going a delightful beet red as he breaks away first to start choking properly on all this goddamn smoke.
