Good morning! Did you know it's a special someone's birthday today? Actually, we have several birthdays to celebrate, so join us today at the LILICO Game Center! There will be cake! Lots and *lots* of cake. Hope to see you there!

_{[ And, the laughter is back. That's three times! But this time, it's accompanied by Toji planting the strength of his hand on Choso's head and patting him a little. ]}

Didn't say cheating wasn't allowed, did I? You did really good though.

[ Toji positively fucking squishes choso a good few inches shorter with his big goddamn paw, but for three whole instances of laughter, choso finds he can let it slide for now.

it's a good price, after all.

luckily, choso can't snap back about it just yet, being so busy with his coughs and his snorts and his watering eyes, but nothing can really hide how his ears go beet red when Toji's praise hits them. ]

Menace.

[ why bother with a speech when he can just pack all his force into one word? the red's all the way in his cheeks now. ]

That is the worst game. But now I understand its parameters. [ does he!? ]

[ not even a beat of hesitation. he holds out a hand (the uncaked one), palm up and open expectantly. ]

_{[ His eyes drop down to the hand that is stretched out and he clicks his tongue slightly, reaching over for the caked up hand and holding him by the wrist. He’s got nothing else to properly clean him down with, but he does use the hem of his shirt to do that. ]}

Wanna make a suggestion for me and I’ll see how I feel about it?

_{[ clean clean, scrubbing in between those little grubby fingers.. kind of funny how he was so against doing this but look at him now.. ]}

[ it’s a surprise, frankly, and for a moment choso has no idea what to do, what to say, what to even think beyond a simple and brainless little note of how very gentle Toji is when he isn’t out to needle a guy for amusement.

for some reason, this makes choso’s cheeks burn a little more, and his hand curls in Toji’s grip, fingers tucking loosely into the well of his own palm. ]

… Can I walk back with you?

Walk back with me? You’re done eating cake?

_{[ He finishes his polishing then flit his eyes upwards from Choso’s hand to his face. ]}

It’s whatever you want for being such a good loser.

_{[ Toji releases him and pushes himself off the side of the wall, snaking his arm around Choso again. ]}

[ he thinks briefly of the cake, of the others still inside enjoying the festivities, of well-wishes and smiles. he came here to celebrate, but the other celebrants are numerous, and choso can only bear to lose two cake slices in one day when the venue is so clamorous. besides, yuji was the safest he could be here, surrounded by his peers in this brightly-lit place, loud with the amusement of a dozen people or more. is choso truly needed here, now?

Toji’s arm around him is a warm and heavy weight. ]

[ like that’s the true deciding factor here, and maybe it is. arms fold, and the hand that had been scrubbed away with such attention, that one he tucks in closest to his chest. ]

I want to eat something that isn’t sugar, and I want another kiss that isn’t rife with your rogue ways.

[ a pause to glance up, strange and unblinking eyes flitting to find Toji’s dead fish stare. ]
