Haha, were you observing me that carefully? [ A sidelong glance, along with a cheeky smile. ] I didn't realise. Now I feel bad. To make up for it, I'll give you my extra special service for today.
[ Wriothesley can bring up LILITH's impromptu rescue mission but does he really want to. Does he really. This was his exact face as he got off, and the story probably won't be anything worthwhile even if Elysium's cause was noble—the way he'd tell it would make it seem anything but.
anyway. wtf. ]
… Because judging from your expression, [ except, he's as stoic and blasé as ever, ] it must've not been so sweet for you! … So, c'mon. Sights? Shops? Performances? I've got you all covered for what you might be interested in.
[ their one and only date before disaster… ]

Unfortunately hindsight is 20/20 only after the fact, and so Wriothesley remains none the wiser to all the lightbulbs that have pinged to life inside that multicolored head. ]
First the sweets and now a grand tour of our new destination funded entirely out of your own pocket? [ He crosses his arms loosely over his chest, eyebrows raised. ] If I didn't know any better, I'd think you were trying to buy me off to look the other way while you rob the nearest bank.
[ He's (once again) joking. Maybe if they were both back in Fontaine this would look a lot more like unsubtle bribery, but here he's just a guy who can, what, make ice cubes on command? Then again, maybe that'll prove to be useful in this desert heat real soon. ]

[ Premonition #1… he brings a hand up to wave that thought away irreverently. It has nothing to do with him. For now.. ]
I told you before, didn't I? That one of my specialties was navigating. I'd say I have this entire place on lock—no need to be an aimless tourist with me around.
[ He pulls out a stack of brochures from a pocket, waves it around. When did he have time to look and parse through all of those, when they've barely just gotten here? Don't worry about it. He tosses those haphazardly onto his bed, too. His. ]
Besides, there are easier and less overt ways of getting to know someone than bribing them. And just having a fun ol' time with them is one.

But that's a good point. The mention of navigating rings a bell, unlodging the memory of their brief tea-and-pastry meeting all those weeks ago. For all that the spam mail (sorry, it was definitely spam mail) had left him with a less than stellar impression of the guy, there's no denying he's a little intrigued by how Elysium already seems to have a good read on this place.
It wouldn't hurt to get a better lay of the land too while he has the chance. ]
Well, if you're offering a genuine chance for me to see your skills in action, it would be foolish of me to turn it down.
[ So Wriothesley, in all his good-natured willingness to give the people around him a chance, walks directly into the trap Elysium has set for him. ]
Did you already have a route in mind?

Hey now, I'm not the type of guy to make considerations without the input of everyone involved. [ The degree in which he weighs them might be something else entirely. ] I did ask you about your interests, didn't I?
[ He's also yapped a whole lot about other things in the past few minutes, so Wriothesley is forgiven and even justified for getting lost in the sauce. ]
You like tea, [ this feels a bit like an understatement, ] and you didn't seem to mind the doughnuts. There are several tea lounges of the like I'd never seen in Neo Tokyo, so those can be on the itinerary for sure. What else should we do? Should I throw in a bit of what I like so you can get to know me, too?
[ nabbing a date with synflux's #1 bachelor before he's off the market… woooo. ]

For now, he will....not mosey on over to anywhere because the room is so cramped there's nowhere to go, and settle instead for leaning against one wall. If they're just going to leave again soon anyway, why bother sitting down somewhere? ]
Oh, I think I've learned plenty about you. [ Including.....?? Facts he refuses to be forthcoming about, apparently. Is he bluffing or is he just being difficult. ] But it'd be unfair to cater only to my interests so please, pick a few locations that interest you as well.
no subject
Ah! I could say the same. [ Elysium's not questioning it, it's fine. In fact, he's happy to be just as cryptic back. ] But, you can never know someone completely, can you? So you have to keep doing your best to learn as much as you can.
[ There's something of a knowing look in Elysium's eyes… but surely that can't mean anything at this juncture of time. Wriothesley being effortlessly cool against the wall aside, the claustrophobic nature of their room has Elysium ready to book it; he doesn't need to be told twice to plan out an entire itinerary, or multiple itineraries, even, on the spot. ]
Right-o. Anything else you want to grab before we head out, then?
no subject
Just kidding, if Elysium wants to give him a taste of his own medicine then who is he to complain? Sometimes you make your own bed and then you're forced to sleep in it.
With a shake of his head: ]
Nothing I don't already have on my person.
[ Which apparently includes a pair of handcuffs just dangling off his belt? Don't worry about it. He motions towards the doorway with one hand. ]
After you, Monsieur.
no subject
At some point his gaze might've flickered to the sound of handcuffs too, but for once he's keeping that comment to himself. Something about them sharing equal responsibility in manifesting these circumstances and that's the narrative Elysium's going with. ]
I thought about it before, but you're quite the gentleman, aren't you? [ He pauses, purposefully, halfway out the door to give Wriothesley a sidelong glance from up close. His eyes crinkle in amusement. ] Manners. Appearance. You must be a popular señor.
[ instead of riley … maybe it should've been rizzley. ]
no subject
So I've been told.
[ Is this where he talks about being in the top five most talked about guys at girls' night.....no, he will save himself and not mention that. He ushers them down the hall and towards the exit, their footsteps echoing lightly. ]
You're quite the handsome man yourself though. [ Username @ hottie. No comment about personality just yet though. ] I'm sure I wouldn't hold a candle standing next to you.
