That's a good question. But...unfortunately, it's rather boring. Like any Fixer, I went to the Hana Association, and applied for a license.

[A beat.]

Fixers are an awfully popular job. If you work hard enough, you'll get paid well. If not...well, you'll die or get taken out by someone else. It's how it is.

Same reason here. The job before the last had really strict resignation policies, and I had places to be.

If anything, I regret not doing it sooner.

Ha. [And a nod at her observation.] And that's right. Upgrades like that are part and parcel of being a Fixer at home. Hell, some even get full body prosthetics.
