[As much as he hopes, Katsuki doesn't think Yuji's ilk will escape the war with as little permanent deaths as the heroes and villains in his own world. But those who do will have a future. One that shouldn't be wasted.

That smile brings a small one to Katsuki's face, though it's more a smug little thing as he lifts his shoulders into a cocky shrug.]

[Katsuki's not a liar, but with Yuji, he feels more comfortable expressing those softer, "sappier" emotions and thoughts. Something he's quietly found to be true the more time they spend together.]

Yeah. But even if our memories vanish...

[He's very convinced they will, so as not to disrupt all the worlds they were pulled from. (Imagine coming back home with a year+ extra thoughts and shit in your head, right back from the moment you were taken. That might lead to several Outsiders dying, since so many seemed to have been taken from a battlefield.) And yet, even if he has to swallow that uncomfortable thought-]

[And lightly bumps the back of his fist against Yuji's chest. Even if it's a tiny fragment that does nothing more than give him a little jolt of unconscious comfort and encouragement, it'll still be Yuji.]

[ Yuji feels warm all over. There's something special about the friendships he's made here, the people he's been able to meet - people who he'd never have been able to know otherwise. He might joke about Neo Tokyo being a vacation for him, a break from the horrors of his own world, but he's not completely wrong. He's not a liar.

It's true, because he's happier here, able to process his grief, to find time to breathe, to relax, to find happiness... To find people to care about, who care about him in return.

Smile bright, happy, content, he nods his head. ]

You too, Katsuki. You can't get away now.

[There are many people Katsuki doesn't want to lose. The people he's met here, the friendships (ugh, fine) he's made, advice and encouragement, growth and skills, all valuable experiences he's come to treasure. Yuji's not wrong about this place being a "vacation" from the horrors of their own world. For many people, it is. Even a place to vacation from death itself. But like all vacations, it has to end at some point, for some of them. Katsuki can't abandon his own world, even to live forever in a little slice f "easier" monster world with new friends.

But god dammit if he doesn't want to find a way to come back and see them again. People he cares about. A world he can rest in. Well, it's not like Katsuki does "rest" very well no matter where he is.]

Heh, you make it sound like I want to.

[And lightly "punches" Yuji on the chin.]

Kirishima Eijirou. He's my classmate. He's brave, loud, happy, and has a thing for manliness. Dumb as a brick sometimes. But he's one of those "what you see is what you get" kind of people. Probably one of the friendliest guys I know.
