WHAT: Dating shows... I was bullied.
WHERE: Between Okinawa & Neo Tokyo.
WHEN: Throughout the remainder of July (listen, it's a production)!
WARNINGS: Partial nudity, alcohol, potential suggestive topics, and will update 'em as I see 'em!

Throughout the city of Neo Tokyo and even Okinawa, there will be advertisements posted by the hundreds (and spam mail to your oculars by an equal number), desiring candidates for a show. While the aftermath of vegas and other bleak instances might have led way for people practicing some semblance of moderation— opposite to that, the people also need their entertainment, don't they?

Fortunately, there will be an influx of dating shows looking for people to appear. They are offering a fairly decent amount of money and are even offering luxury experiences for free for participants. In this economy and food shortage??? Okay, the food may be lacking, but they do make up for it in various activities they have planned, where people can kick back, relax, and romance?

While there will be any number of shows looking for interested parties, these are the main shows/premises:

  SPEED DATING  

As the label suggests. People will be expected to sit down and switch through several partners. In their hands will be a card labeling who they encounter and a place to leave a check mark. They will also be given a list of questions that can be answered.

  PARTNER SWAP  

People can be on a show and swap partners. This doesn't necessarily need to be romantic, either. Have a friend you want to show up with, cool. The only rules are that the pairs who enter together cannot stay together during the duration of the show.

  SINGLES INFERNO  

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be trapped on a deserted island with other hot singles? Well, now you no longer have to wonder. They will need to cook and fend for themselves here with minimal activities or distraction— but, isn't that the point? All you need to focus on is each other! (* They will be ferried to an outer island by Okinawa). While on the island, which they label as inferno, it's also a rule that one cannot speak about their age, occupation, or any such personal details. All of this will be reserved for "paradise." To go to paradise, two individuals will need to pick one another, and if they do — they are able to go on to completed various luxury experiences together.

For those who would rather find paradise in inferno together, you can presume there are tents that act as shared dormitory quarters where contestants will stay together.

  DATE ME  

People are free to use this for just general dates. Maybe, you just want to finesse the system and enjoy a fun all-expense-paid for date in which you get to eat like relative kings and enjoy various experiences. Feel free to use anything in the setting to your desire.

  SKINSHIP STARTER  

... a show where you get paid the more skinship you do. Don't do anything you wouldn't do in a Wendy's though. (That's not how the saying actually goes).

  COMMENTARY PANEL  

Every good dating show needs those who simply sit and commentate, right?

* It can be assumed any of this is just open to general CR you want to spend time with, too. This is just supposed to be a silly log for chances for characters to get to know one another! Characters are more than welcome to assume they stumble upon this by accident, think it's just a basic job and can't leave, film or unfilmed (minus the commentary prompt), and whatever else! Feel free to tag freely, threadjack, etc!

getting paid to answer some dumb questions? easy. come at him, he is gonna win this speed dating show. alma it isn't a competition shuffling to the next card in the stack, alma looks over at the next person who has sat down across from him. ]

( He all but falls into the seat opposite Alma, a spasm of limbs that has Vash taking a moment or two to sit upright after. But he beams at his new companion with something genuine, hands immediately going to pick up the little sheet of paper with suggestions on it.

Uhhh. ( Guess who's only doing this to meet people! It's fine, it's cool, he's allowed. ) Oh! Here's one. If you could be a character in any video game, who would you be and why?

( Does he know what a video game is? No! Is he going to ask it anyway? Absolutely. )

[ dw vash he is only here for the money which is arguably worse than trying to sincerely meet people

but uh—... they might be in trouble because alma may or may not know what video games are either. even if he did, he would have never played them, so aren't they collectively fucked by this one question? he can't answer this. it's a bust. ]

I don't know anything about that. Can you ask a different one?

( Dragging a metal fingertip down the sheet, a little panicked frown building between his brows. ) This one's good! If you could combine two animals to create the ultimate pet, what would they be and what would you name it? That's a fun question.

( And then, elbows against the table, levelling Alma with his most expectant, attentive look. )

[ the next question is much better. an amalgamation of animals? he can work with. ]

I guess a cat and an owl would be pretty cool. I'd call it a... [ he rubs his chin as he gives it some thought. ] cowl, maybe?

A cowl! I think that's a hat, maybe. ( Scarf ... whatever. ) But a cowl would be pretty cute. Would it have the face of a cat and wings? A beak and whiskers? Would it be fat?

( You know who really wants to pet a cat? This guy. Sometimes he sees one in towns and yearns. Weirdly it's always black ... )

[ Oh!

It's the kid he almost drowned! ]

[ oh! it's one of his swimming instructors during the beach episode.

he wasn't too bad, even if he did drown a little. ]

'kay! [ he looks down at the first card in his hands. ] Name 5 people, dead or alive, you'd invite to your dream dinner party. [ addendum: ] And what you'd be serving! [ because that's more important. ]

Siffrin thinks about it. Four are easy to come to mind. The fifth... he weighs, then answers slowly. ]

Mira, Isa, Odile, Bonnie, and... Loop. I'd serve finger sandwiches, since Bonnie wouldn't trust anything else I put together. They're the chef of my family members.

[ (... It might be nice. To invite Loop. Even if they don't want to interact with your family members for some reason.) ]

Wow! You have a big family. [ —except for loop possibly? he caught that bit of hesitation in his voice. ]

If it were me, I'd invite Tao, [ obviously ] Yaya, Auntie, Yoki and Dara. And since we're all together, we'll do hotpot!

[siffriend]

[ (... Yeah. Yeah, you do.)

The warmth remains in their chest anyway, and they tilt their head a little. ]

Are they your family members?

[saragi]

No, Tao's my boss. Yoki and Dara are our associates and Auntie and Yaya work at the restaurant underneath our office.

[ he guess he could consider them family, but... it isn't something he has given too much thought into. ]

[siffriend]

Mine are, except Loop. But we aren't related either, so I don't think it matters if you are or not.

[ (At least, it didn't seem to matter to them every time you acted out those scenes again.) ]

What do you do?

I'm a Troubleshooter. We solve problems for our clients and investigate different cases.

[siffriend]

[ Oh! ]

And I don't think she investigates. Mysteries?

[ You know. At least he's not alone in that. While Tezcatlipoca isn't viewing it as a competition, it's uh. Pretty close to that. He's just considering it a chance to see what kind of people are here! What better icebreaker than this, in his opinion.

So, he nods, and after flipping through casually, he picks one after a chuckle to see it, since it's another good one. ]

How would your friends describe you in one word?

[ man, that is a good one.

his brows furrows slightly as he gives it some thought. how would tao describe him in one word? or the others back at home? he... probably should refrain from giving too honest of an answer though, since they're being filmed right now. ]

Hardworkin', I guess. What about you?

Ha! Your friends are nice, then. Mine would just call me an asshole.

[ his canonmates are nodding aggressively in the audience I'm sure... not that they're friends, but. even if they were, the assessment would not change. ]

The questions on this paper are boring. if we have to do this, ask something interesting! I don't care what makes your proud, or what ice cream you'd want to be!
