WHAT: Dating shows... I was bullied.
WHERE: Between Okinawa & Neo Tokyo.
WHEN: Throughout the remainder of July (listen, it's a production)!
WARNINGS: Partial nudity, alcohol, potential suggestive topics, and will update 'em as I see 'em!

Throughout the city of Neo Tokyo and even Okinawa, there will be advertisements posted by the hundreds (and spam mail to your oculars by an equal number), desiring candidates for a show. While the aftermath of vegas and other bleak instances might have led way for people practicing some semblance of moderation— opposite to that, the people also need their entertainment, don't they?

Fortunately, there will be an influx of dating shows looking for people to appear. They are offering a fairly decent amount of money and are even offering luxury experiences for free for participants. In this economy and food shortage??? Okay, the food may be lacking, but they do make up for it in various activities they have planned, where people can kick back, relax, and romance?

While there will be any number of shows looking for interested parties, these are the main shows/premises:

  SPEED DATING  

As the label suggests. People will be expected to sit down and switch through several partners. In their hands will be a card labeling who they encounter and a place to leave a check mark. They will also be given a list of questions that can be answered.

  PARTNER SWAP  

People can be on a show and swap partners. This doesn't necessarily need to be romantic, either. Have a friend you want to show up with, cool. The only rules are that the pairs who enter together cannot stay together during the duration of the show.

  SINGLES INFERNO  

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be trapped on a deserted island with other hot singles? Well, now you no longer have to wonder. They will need to cook and fend for themselves here with minimal activities or distraction— but, isn't that the point? All you need to focus on is each other! (* They will be ferried to an outer island by Okinawa). While on the island, which they label as inferno, it's also a rule that one cannot speak about their age, occupation, or any such personal details. All of this will be reserved for "paradise." To go to paradise, two individuals will need to pick one another, and if they do — they are able to go on to completed various luxury experiences together.

For those who would rather find paradise in inferno together, you can presume there are tents that act as shared dormitory quarters where contestants will stay together.

  DATE ME  

People are free to use this for just general dates. Maybe, you just want to finesse the system and enjoy a fun all-expense-paid for date in which you get to eat like relative kings and enjoy various experiences. Feel free to use anything in the setting to your desire.

  SKINSHIP STARTER  

... a show where you get paid the more skinship you do. Don't do anything you wouldn't do in a Wendy's though. (That's not how the saying actually goes).

  COMMENTARY PANEL  

Every good dating show needs those who simply sit and commentate, right?

* It can be assumed any of this is just open to general CR you want to spend time with, too. This is just supposed to be a silly log for chances for characters to get to know one another! Characters are more than welcome to assume they stumble upon this by accident, think it's just a basic job and can't leave, film or unfilmed (minus the commentary prompt), and whatever else! Feel free to tag freely, threadjack, etc!

Speed Dating B

[While not as horny as one would expect for a Redemption Man, Taryon is raring for a chance to partake in "speed dating" as locals call it. Sure, this kind of sucks the romance out of the whole process, but if he's going to get out here and find himself a nice guy, he might as well start here.

Taryon arrives with a set of the best clothes he downloaded onto his fashion app and sits opposite Kabru. This is a new Outsider that he's seen around but knows nothing about, which helps with the "Get to know each other" deal. He props his elbows on the surface of the table and offers a dazzling grin.] My type? You're certainly getting to the point.

[He shifts in his seat while he comes up with something more specific than "attractive and isn't mean to me".]

I can't say no to a strong man who can hold me gently in his arms, but what captures my heart the most quickly is a brilliant mind. I prefer someone I can have long, intellectual conversations with late in the night. [He nods, happy with this performance.]

What about you? Who are you looking for?

[ Kabru wouldn't normally get right to the point since that would be too forward in a normal social situation, but this event is a unique premise to ask any sort of question without holding back. With his interest in people, there's no way he wouldn't take advantage of that. Besides, it's fun! If he has to be stuck here, of course he wants to know what kinds of relationships the Outsiders have with each other.

As Taryon works out his answer, Kabru watches him intently, taking in what he can about this new person. ]

There's no point if you can't have a proper conversation with them, is there? [ That would be such a bore, he thinks. Sex and intimacy isn't just about feeling good. It's about building a connection with another person.

Now he's being asked in return, and he probably should have anticipated this going in. For someone who analyzes others so often, he doesn't analyze himself very much, so he doesn't actually have an answer to give. ] Hmm ... I can appreciate people of all genders and body types. But I haven't given that much thought ... How did you decide on yours?

[ Time to throw the ball back in Taryon's court. ]

[The smile that Taryon puts on is genuine (he's excited to partake in this show even without the monetary compensation), but he's not as relaxed as he hopes he appears to be. Sitting down and talking with a date partner isn't something he's used to, and with the addition of the cameras, there is a lot of pressure to come off as capable and knowing exactly how to flirt. And theoretically, he knows plenty: not just from the flowery descriptions in books, but practical advice from his friends on how not to come off as creepy or some desperate weirdo.

Kabru started off with an intimate question, so it seems like personal questions are good to go. He's taken aback at the follow-up. The true answer is long and complicated, and to answer that it's been part of his personal journey in the past few years, but...that sounds a bit pathetic. His eyes dart while he comes up with a response that he can say on camera, then smiles again.]

Well, my preferences don't span as wide as yours, hah. Not that I decided on not liking women, but...[He shrugs and flops his shoulders.] I suppose I figured it out as I had a few crushes and realized that the fastest way to my heart was to demonstrate your intellect and admire what I had to say. And obviously, if someone is attractive, it draws my attention to them.

[But he doesn't know what Kabru's standards are. Shouldn't he be learning more about the guy sitting across the table from him?]
