WHAT: Dating shows... I was bullied.
WHERE: Between Okinawa & Neo Tokyo.
WHEN: Throughout the remainder of July (listen, it's a production)!
WARNINGS: Partial nudity, alcohol, potential suggestive topics, and will update 'em as I see 'em!

Throughout the city of Neo Tokyo and even Okinawa, there will be advertisements posted by the hundreds (and spam mail to your oculars by an equal number), desiring candidates for a show. While the aftermath of vegas and other bleak instances might have led way for people practicing some semblance of moderation— opposite to that, the people also need their entertainment, don't they?

Fortunately, there will be an influx of dating shows looking for people to appear. They are offering a fairly decent amount of money and are even offering luxury experiences for free for participants. In this economy and food shortage??? Okay, the food may be lacking, but they do make up for it in various activities they have planned, where people can kick back, relax, and romance?

While there will be any number of shows looking for interested parties, these are the main shows/premises:

  SPEED DATING  

As the label suggests. People will be expected to sit down and switch through several partners. In their hands will be a card labeling who they encounter and a place to leave a check mark. They will also be given a list of questions that can be answered.

  PARTNER SWAP  

People can be on a show and swap partners. This doesn't necessarily need to be romantic, either. Have a friend you want to show up with, cool. The only rules are that the pairs who enter together cannot stay together during the duration of the show.

  SINGLES INFERNO  

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be trapped on a deserted island with other hot singles? Well, now you no longer have to wonder. They will need to cook and fend for themselves here with minimal activities or distraction— but, isn't that the point? All you need to focus on is each other! (* They will be ferried to an outer island by Okinawa). While on the island, which they label as inferno, it's also a rule that one cannot speak about their age, occupation, or any such personal details. All of this will be reserved for "paradise." To go to paradise, two individuals will need to pick one another, and if they do — they are able to go on to completed various luxury experiences together.

For those who would rather find paradise in inferno together, you can presume there are tents that act as shared dormitory quarters where contestants will stay together.

  DATE ME  

People are free to use this for just general dates. Maybe, you just want to finesse the system and enjoy a fun all-expense-paid for date in which you get to eat like relative kings and enjoy various experiences. Feel free to use anything in the setting to your desire.

  SKINSHIP STARTER  

... a show where you get paid the more skinship you do. Don't do anything you wouldn't do in a Wendy's though. (That's not how the saying actually goes).

  COMMENTARY PANEL  

Every good dating show needs those who simply sit and commentate, right?

* It can be assumed any of this is just open to general CR you want to spend time with, too. This is just supposed to be a silly log for chances for characters to get to know one another! Characters are more than welcome to assume they stumble upon this by accident, think it's just a basic job and can't leave, film or unfilmed (minus the commentary prompt), and whatever else! Feel free to tag freely, threadjack, etc!

[ The answer is immediate, and just as stupid as one might think.

He swans in without hesitation, a card of his own in hand. Having it isn't the point, the point is all the stories and information he can get from his "seniors". Aka the new CR his player craves. Casually, he sidles up next to Tezcatlipoca and skitters his fingers across the other god's forearm. Like a bug. ]

Filled Isis's chambers with scorpions. She thought I was still away on a campaign, but I snuck back early and brought about two hundred of them with me. She was finding them breeding in her scrolls for ages!

[ Tezcatlipoca immediately grins when Set approaches, since of course Set would be here too. They're of the same mind, after all. Information is information, even if it's gathered... stupidly. However, Set means a break, so he's more relaxed to match. ]

Ha! Nice one. From what I know, I bet she needed the excitement. Gotta keep 'em on their toes? Or that's just what it means to be siblings.

[ Of course Tezcatlipoca appreciates a good sibling prank. His are, uh, more extreme, but! Don't worry about that! In fact, considering Set's fondness for his brother, Tezcatlipoca actually keeps away from the topic. It's a little bit of consideration for him, though like a lot of Tezcatlipoca's kindness, it's essentially invisible. ]

I've got my fair share, sure you ain't surprised by that, so I'll just pick an easy one. I've always hung out with my people, so to speak, least while it was possible. I'd go visit in different ways kinda depending on my mood, but when I was in a shitty one? Went for horror movie shit. A headless creature whose split chest made a sucking noise with every breath. If someone was brave, I reward them, if they're a coward, punishment, obviously.

[ it's ok, set forgot his fake identity too and named isis but thankfully "isis" could be construed as a normal ass woman's name by the modern era. he'll look back on this and pretend "hierax" was raised in an anti-modernist cult environment or something before escaping to become some sort of rising star socialite ( #goals ). ]

That costume [ yeah right ] sounds like it would take soooo long to put on, too! You really are committed to the bit.

Set claps his hands together, not even thinking about how Tezcatlipoca could have discussed the shit he'd done with his own siblings. It would bring up Set's immediate desire to reach out into the world they were in to see if Quetzalcoatl's presence was in it — or, if she truly was gone. He figures all gods are omnipresent, though; it's why he'd hated Zenith's leader so much, resentful and hostile to her the deeper his understanding of who she was and what she wanted was. After all, he really was her child. They were willing to do the same horrible things for their children. ]

What sort of punishment do you prefer to give cowards? Like, I guess some of our teammates aren't exactly proper warriors — but, if they're doing it because they're too scared to fight, not because they have other skills on offer... how would you punish them?

[ He’s surprised to hear slang come out of Set’s mouth, but it immediately just makes him laugh warmly. It is fun, and he’s glad that Set is picking up on it. Together, they’ll be (cringe) menaces. ]

‘Course I am! You think I’m the kinda guy that half-asses things? I’m hurt.

[ He’s teasing. Obviously he isn’t. However, while the directors are likely going “this is a weird conversation” they’re almost certain to just cut the next section entirely. These two are useful for a dating show, actually. It’s too easy for them to dip into matters of the divine, but most importantly, the brutality they share. ]

Sacrifice, obviously. If someone isn’t committed to their fight, then they’ll lay down for others’ instead. Or at the more extreme, an offering of sincerity in blood might be enough for the powers that be [ re: himself ] to forgive ‘em.

[ Obviously, from what Set has come to know of Tezcatlipoca ( and what he has discerned from Quetzalcoatl, as well as READING LIKE A NERD ), is that he really is a good god. It doesn't mean he's not a hard-ass about it, but he has a heart that isn't hardened to humanity in the way that Set's had been forced to be; all he knows is the worst of it, all he's been punished with is the ugliest aspects of it. The lessons he's taken from his brush with humans, be they warriors or adherents, is that the vast majority are wicked to differing degrees.

Perhaps that is why he turned to the demon to "save" him from his own weak heart. To become something considerably more evil, rather than remain weakened by curses and damage. To sacrifice, which Tezcatlipoca might find... well, Set hopes it's found respectable. He hopes to be acknowledged by his fellow god, rather than found wanting. It's an inherently undivine wish, but in FATE/ terms... Set's spirit....... origin saint graph thingy would be in tatters. ]

Honestly, it's a fair trade. Humans aren't meant to exist alone, independent of one another. They're quite powerful when they band together, and easy prey otherwise. I mean, look at the state of the world!

Anyways, is that your faaaaaaaaavorite costume? [ "costume" ]

[ Tezcatlipoca nods, and there’s a touch of solemness to it, though it’s the sort of thing only Set would pick up on, since it’s quite subtle. For all Tezcatlipoca’s harsh ways, indeed, he loved people. So, he also believed that they should exist as Set explains. They weren’t solitary creatures like the divine were. The slightly gloomy thought is dismissed with a laugh, though. The question has an easy answer. ]

Tepeyollotl. Heart of the mountain, king of the jaguars. Or: my armor, so nothin’ you haven’t seen before. But it’s pretty scary, right? Most people would shit themselves just to see that face.

[ Though Set might not agree, since conveniently for our other thread, he hasn’t ever worn the mask when they’ve tussled seriously in the past. If anything, Tezcatlipoca was almost prettier when he ditched his modern looks and returned to something more old-fashioned and wild. ]

All my costumes are for special occasions, though. I like to keep it more relaxed like this.
