( open; ) summer episode part 2?

WHO: Any Outsider is more than welcome!
WHAT: Dating shows... I was bullied.
WHERE: Between Okinawa & Neo Tokyo.
WHEN: Throughout the remainder of July (listen, it's a production)!
WARNINGS: Partial nudity, alcohol, potential suggestive topics, and will update 'em as I see 'em!

Throughout the city of Neo Tokyo and even Okinawa, there will be advertisements posted by the hundreds (and spam mail to your oculars by an equal number), desiring candidates for a show. While the aftermath of vegas and other bleak instances might have led way for people practicing some semblance of moderation— opposite to that, the people also need their entertainment, don't they?

Fortunately, there will be an influx of dating shows looking for people to appear. They are offering a fairly decent amount of money and are even offering luxury experiences for free for participants. In this economy and food shortage??? Okay, the food may be lacking, but they do make up for it in various activities they have planned, where people can kick back, relax, and romance?

While there will be any number of shows looking for interested parties, these are the main shows/premises:

SPEED DATING

As the label suggests. People will be expected to sit down and switch through several partners. In their hands will be a card labeling who they encounter and a place to leave a check mark. They will also be given a list of questions that can be answered.

PARTNER SWAP

People can be on a show and swap partners. This doesn't necessarily need to be romantic, either. Have a friend you want to show up with, cool. The only rules are that the pairs who enter together cannot stay together during the duration of the show.

SINGLES INFERNO

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be trapped on a deserted island with other hot singles? Well, now you no longer have to wonder. They will need to cook and fend for themselves here with minimal activities or distraction— but, isn't that the point? All you need to focus on is each other! (* They will be ferried to an outer island by Okinawa). While on the island, which they label as inferno, it's also a rule that one cannot speak about their age, occupation, or any such personal details. All of this will be reserved for "paradise." To go to paradise, two individuals will need to pick one another, and if they do — they are able to go on to completed various luxury experiences together.

For those who would rather find paradise in inferno together, you can presume there are tents that act as shared dormitory quarters where contestants will stay together.

DATE ME

People are free to use this for just general dates. Maybe, you just want to finesse the system and enjoy a fun all-expense-paid for date in which you get to eat like relative kings and enjoy various experiences. Feel free to use anything in the setting to your desire.

SKINSHIP STARTER

... a show where you get paid the more skinship you do. Don't do anything you wouldn't do in a Wendy's though. (That's not how the saying actually goes).

* It can be assumed any of this is just open to general CR you want to spend time with, too. This is just supposed to be a silly log for chances for characters to get to know one another! Characters are more than welcome to assume they stumble upon this by accident, think it's just a basic job and can't leave, film or unfilmed (minus the commentary prompt), and whatever else! I couldn't even if I wanted to. It was during the time of those strange mixing of dreams. But it happened.

[ ... punishment for her hubris. this is punishment for her hubris. malkuth sighs, it doesn't last long as she hooks her arm into vergilius's and smiles up at him. ]

[He's pleased by her hooking into his arm, glancing ahead as he starts to walk them along, gentlemanly.]

Mm. There was a place I had my eye on. A pretty little restaurant of sorts. Let me treat you. I think you said you like steak, yes?

[ a tie... how fun that must've been. malkuth can only imagine, knowing kali. thinking of what vergilius might've been like then. a tie... ]

I do, especially with a drink or two... but I'll save you the trouble of handling my drunken self today.

Is it alright that I'm not dressed up? I've never really been someplace super fancy before...

shopping on her own! for a dress that'll impress! off she goes, barely visibly over some of the taller racks, before moving deeper inside. something that'll surprise him... but something comfortable, too. the last thing malkuth wants, really, is to spend the night fidgeting with the shortness of her dress in public. so something just past the knees, that fits her well enough, and...

[The color is not unnoticed - it makes his dreary eyes brighten as he looks at it, before he shifts his wrist forward.]

[ it's difficult... usually she has to pull it to the front and hook it up like that, but if she has someone else it's easier.

though the though of his fingertips brushing against her neck makes her shiver, ears warming. it'll be fine. bag accepted, is it socially acceptable to just do it in the rooms here or should they backtrack to her room...

be something he would dwell on later. But for now, in this moment, where his gaze is to be a spotlight on her, he won't even pay it any mind. He'll follow after her, and wait.]

Mm... I like bright, citrusy flavors, and potatoes. You can do a lot with them.

Stews, too -- they're so filling, and they keep well! I like making them a lot. I mean, I did! Before... LILITH had us too busy to cook anything ourselves.

After work or class, I'll usually drop by a cafe March and I frequent for a bite to eat. Scones, tea, parfaits, tarts... Anything and everything sweet just as a pick me up.

[ careful, careful. there's no rush. there never is, when it comes to vergilius -- something she appreciates, that makes it easy to fall into the same steps. she puts out of mind that their strides might be different lengths. ]

[ malkuth'll step out, twirling in her knee-length dress briefly for vergilius's pleasure. bared shoulders, a dip curving across her chest, perfect to put a pendant against. the only bit of style upgrade she's putting on is a pair of matching bowtie heels, low as they are. ]

Ready to put on the finishing piece?

[She steps out like a dream. He, as appreciative as a fan at a gallery seeing a beloved painting, looks her up and down, taking in curved shoulders, vibrant red, pretty heels.]

...How it makes the heart sing. Seeing you. Beautiful.

[And yes, of course, he steps forward to take her braid, kiss the end of it lightly, like a little tease.]

[ malkuth flushes, smile widening, before handing the pendant to him and turning away. ]

I just hope it isn't too much for what you have planned now.

[ overdressed, underdressed... settling in the middle has never been her strong point. ]

[He takes it carefully - and he means it, really. Whatever she wears is nice, and he hardly has the social understanding for what is right or wrong. As long as Malkuth is happy.]

[His fingertips gently graze her front as he drapes the pendant up and around to the back of her neck, fastening it.]

There. It looks lovely.

[ her skin lights beneath his touch, warm and tingling, and she grins wider as she takes his arm again.

... rather than a couple, they look more like a daddy-daughter pair, but who's gonna say it to that mean mug in her arms??? ]

Thanks. It's such a relief to be back after the desert, huh? Even if it's just as miserable here...

I feel most places we go are miserable.

[But of course, it's him saying this, and mostly anything that wanders into his purview is something to be disregarded or judged. Malkuth doesn't fall under that, though, and he'll happily keep her where she is, moving towards the direction of the restaurant.]
