[ Pavia isn't good at talking to people. He is naturally contrarian to the point of absurdity. He can talk over people and fixate on certain points of "interest" that he ignores how other people are feeling. However, he also refuses to acknowledge these points about himself.

How can he be bad at talking when he talks so much? How can be he contradictory when every answer a person can choose to give him is what's wrong?

In any case, it seems like there is a lot of worrying going on. Oni Girlie is a person he spoke to first and decided is "all right." She does some pretty fucking stupid things, but he isn't allowed to call her an "idiot" anymore. So it seems like he just will have to deal with saying that she's stupid to her face.

It's why he invited her over to his apartment.

Worrying about being alive or not - what's the point in that? There are fools everywhere in the world that will call you a monster or wish you dead - why make life easy for them by dying? Why make life easy for them by making yourself small for them? Become a wolf and devour them all. A restful sleep awaits after.

He pauses before he starts to laugh. His pep talk sounds good in his head. It sounds so good that he keeps on laughing. The wolves in his shadow briefly let out a short, triumphant howl to indicate their encouragement, their agreement. Pavia laughs harder and walks over to pat the wall. ]

Good boys. Good girls. You're doing good. Rest now... you like my words? You get to hear them again! [ And more laughter follows until he hears a knock at the door. ]

[ Lucy leans one head on her hand, elbow on the table. Her brows furrow together as she watches, and her expression looks only more and more perplexed as he roots through the apparent hoard of sweets. ]

Everything you just listed was candy.

I meant actual food. If I eat all that, my stomach will try to kill me.

[ She doesn't want to even look in the fridge. She can't imagine she'll find anything remotely good in there. ]

Desserts are the best thing in the world. Why wouldn't I want to fill my stomach with it every day?

[ Pavia chimes back.

He pauses for a second - rolling his eyes up, he thinks. Since he's up, he can press his hand against the wall. Breathing hard out of his nose, he continues to apply pressing against the wall itself. To be exact, he is trying to put the pressure against his shadow. The shadow darkens artificially as his hand drops into the black, melting away.

Pulling his hand back, he wiggles his fingers at her. ]

It's too logical. They won't rot.

[ She was gearing herself up for that exact answer and-

She wishes she could say she isn't disappointed, yet she still is. Despite knowing it would probably happen. Ah well. ]

I'll order something then.

[ Though she's already planning to just leave and go find a nice udon shop or something if he so much as suggests something like candy again. ]

Oh, can you order gelato?

[ He bops over to look at what she might be ordering. His head tilting as he asks for more sweets, because, well, he still doesn't quite understand what's up. ]

I'm not ordering gelato. I'm ordering something to eat that's more savory than sweet.

[ She wants her teeth to stay firmly and healthily placed in her head thanks. ]

Pizza?

[ Another suggestion. ]

Not one with pineapples, though. I was almost given that once... I asked for a sweet pizza and they gave me that horror! [ And Pavia starts mumbling to himself in Italian. They're mostly all curses. ]

Pizza works.

[ He needn't worry about pineapple on it, at least. She has no intention of ordering that kind of flavor mix. ]

I'm just going to get salami on it. Pepperoni is too greasy.

Mm, that's all right.

[ He's peering over her shoulder, like that helps with ordering pizza. ]

Pepperoni is classic. But I'll accept this since I apparently don't have "real food" in my house. [ Pavia actually does air quotes over the two words. ]

Get your grease-zza with your own money.

[ She's laughing under her breath as she says it. As if she's not ordering it in his house?? ]

But if you want it that bad, maybe I'll get a second one with pepperoni.

It's being saved for gelato!

[ He waves his arms in a circle, obviously irritated. There is very soft howling that comes from his shadow but it stops after a second. ]

Yes, get me a second one!

[saudadist]

[ There's the slightest puffing of her cheeks as her joke goes unnoticed. It's entirely her own fault, however. It's not as though she's a comedic genius. ]

I'm getting it, I'm getting it. Relax. [ She pauses to place the order and she sits back in the chair after hearing a little chime. ] There. Satisfied?

Yeah.

[ Pavia pauses before he bends forward, leaning in to look at her face. ]

Well, then? Things like this - make you want to keep living, yeah? You can't have arguments or pizza. You can't argue 'bout good food. [ He jerks his thumb towards his cabinets where all his good food is. ] So, hope this makes you want to stick around more.

[ On reflex, she backs up a bit. Then she pouts again. ]

Not how I'd make a point but...point taken. You win.

I win!

[ He claps his hands together. ]

Then, I want two pepperoni pizzas!

[saudadist]

[ Had he said that just a few seconds before, she might've entertained the idea, however... ]

Well you're getting one. That's all I'm ordering for you for now.

[agnitio]

[ Pavia turns his head to click his tongue. ]

Fine, fine.

[ He shuffles closer to the wall and kneels down to pet his shadow. ]

Anyway! You have other things you want to say while we wait for food, don't you? I said plenty and so, let's hear what nonsense you have in your head, Oni girlie.

Like what? You just expect me to start rambling until something substantial comes out?

Yup.

[ He quips back. Multiple white eyes start to manifest in the shadow before evaporating into smoke. Pavia again turns his head and clicks his tongue. ]
