(He'll send coordinates for Ikebukuro Station which is about a 10 minute train ride from the base.)

Follow the signs for the east side and look for "Sunshine City."

I'll meet you at the station exit!

(Of course, there's also a pin to where he needs to go. And sure enough, when Denji arrives, he'll be there waiting. Dressed in casual clothes that still makes him look stylish and stand out, he waves,)

Yo, Denji-kun!

[ 'sunshine city' — hmm, considering his line of work and the need to travel all over the city, different shifts in different locations, denji knew about this place. heh. that alone encouraged him to get out of bed, wear clean clothes, freshen up, and meet up with his friend.

well, someone certainly stands out between the dull crowd, and it perks a tiny smirk on denji's lips. he waves and greets regardless. ]

What are you up to? [ the schemer is scheming. ]

(The worst thing about being at a large shopping center is all of the advertisements on the different holographic poster screens. Some of them play jingles but others are just flashy videos. He was watching one video in particular that was just ending as Denji arrived. He points at the screen juuuuust before it switches to some cosmetics advertisement,)

Have you heard of this place?

(The GACHA EMPORIUM on the 6th floor?)

It has all of those "gacha machines." You exchange your credit and you get a surprise every time. It's a whole floor for surprises.

(That's it. That's what he's up to and he really wants to go.)

[ denji glanced upward, his lips already easing into a small smile with more color brightening his weary features, which is a natural response to being around someone like tsurumaru. that man is unpredictable, but he has a positive aura about him that is warm and healing. he makes denji, even for a few minutes, forget about what haunts him and maybe — get excited about the unknown. what will happen next? that's the beauty of tsurumaru. you never fucking know.

tonight - the sword wants to win tiny little prizes. how fitting. ]

Hmm, I know this place ... never went in, though. [ he nods, gesturing for his friend to lead the way. ] You want to play?

[cranekin]

I went once! But I really want to go again.

(For some reason, he really wants to go. He had another plan originally but the moment he saw the hologram poster for this place, his mind changed.

He starts to lead the way to the escalators that they'll have to go up one at a time. Honestly, this is more fun than the elevators. This way, he can see all of the other shops and advertisements. It's really an endless capitalist barrage and he's kind of into it. It's exciting. It reminds him of the busy markets back in the old days but much flashier.)

It's a lot of fun. There are a bunch of little machines with all sorts of surprises inside them. Last time, I got something called "slime."

(He's so excited. He keeps babbling on and on.)

If there are two of us, we'll increase our chances of completing sets or getting the ones we want. It's a perfect strategy.

(He's treating this like it's a battle plan.........)

[ woah, woah — too excited, too fast, he lost denji a few times but the half-devil is surely getting into it. something about collecting gifts from different machines, and they can't predict what they will win unless they open it. yeah, sounds like a fun gambling game based on pure luck. he's in. ]

Oh. I want to win some slime!

[ he glanced around them; the vibrant lights and colors were captivating. there are so many options, a bit overwhelming but he glanced at tsurumaru for guidance. ]

Where to start? Can I pick the first machine?

[ ah, look. he's already pointing at one. ]

Mhm! We'll play rock paper scissors to decide who gets the first prize, too!

(Up one escalator and another and another... past floors for clothes, for kitchen goods, for home goods, for toys, and finally... a floor for entertainment.

Gachapon machines scattered across the floor, arcade games, crane games, loud music, flashing lights, a karaoke bar, movies, and trendy little cafes and snack shops to grab something quick. It's a lot to take in but they can take their time.

Uwah... Denji-kun, check it out. (It's like a playground for all ages to he honest.) Over there!

(The main store... the gachapon emporium. They gotta go and pick a machine to start with.)

Oh, I'm good at rock paper scissors!

[ that's only because his opponent was power and she wasn't the smartest creature to be around; he's still confident with his skills, though. the options felt limitless and it was a bit overwhelming, as tsurumaru's excitement is quick to rub off on denji and he wanted to get his hands on a machine at the earliest.

slime. he wants the slime. he decided on the slime. after running around in circles for a bit, they finally settled on one machine that had some cute character designs. ]

Can I try? What do I do?

[ should he go ahead? did they need to pay first? he's ready to see how this works. ]

(If Denji wants the slime then they can get the slime. Tsurumaru crouches down to see how much the machine costs. There are digital numbers that read 400 on it and it comes in different colors and textures.

There's a scanner next to the dial for them to exchange their Kryptos but first, Tsurumaru turns to Denji, his hand in a fist,)

Rock... paper... scissors, go!

(No warning. They just have to go for it. Tsurumaru has scissors... of course he'd choose sign that has a blade.)

[ he stares over the vibrant colors flashing in each corner of his eye, distracting him and keeping his mind busy. he blinks, turning to face the other— ah, the game. with a grin, denji matches the other's fist, uttering those words together in perfect harmony. ]

Rock... paper... scissors!

[ and he ends up with paper. shit, he lost that fast? guess this guy is a stronger rival over power. with a scoff, he shifts to stand by tusurmaru's side, shoulders touching in a playful nudge. ]

Isn't this like gambling, though?
