ⶠ001. STATE OF THE BASE.
In light of recent events, Outsiders are provided with an ample amount of vacation time. While they are certainly permitted (and encouraged!) to continue their training or to participate in missions, Outsiders may use this downtime to facilitate their own funeral services as well as catch their breaths and be able to both physically and mentally heal from the traumatic events of Transylvania. This period of time is also to allow for any Outsiders who lost limbs during the last mission to get any necessary cybernetic surgeries and permit for proper recovery time before any missions going forward. As the enhancements are a difficult surgery, these individuals will be paired with an Outsider who will be their designated "nurse" and they will work in shifts to care and help those who received the surgeries.
In terms of the cure for those who are still experiencing symptoms of being turned into vampires, they will find clinical trials are now taking place with an experimental drug being offered in either pill or shot form. It is not the perfect fix, but it does subdue a lot of the side effects, making it easier for Outsiders to be able to walk around more freely without concern of losing control over themselves or their thirst for blood. The result of these clinical trials do seem to differ from individual to individual, however. Some side effects can cause an extended feeling of nausea, vertigo, shortness of breath, insomnia, and general feelings of exhaustion. It is suggested that those who receive this trial medicine do not drive any vehicles or enter the simulation room. All trial medicine seems to achieve a similar result, but need to be taken multiple times throughout the course of the month before actual results are seen. If one is diligent in taking the medicine, they will find that they will be reverted back to normal by the end of the month.
Additionally, there are also trial drugs being offered in America, and those who do take on the Las Vegas mission are also permitted to try them for pain relief. However, those drugs come with an additional side effect of causing strong hallucinations, and it is advised to take them in an enclosed area until the effects pass.
For those wondering about the status of the Imugi eggs the Outsiders were tasked to take care of prior to the Transylvania mission, they have been moved to a private nursery room that is inaccessible to Outsiders as they are expected to hatch soon. LILITH will be upfront with this information to Outsiders should they ask, and will also inform them that Outsiders will soon be able to visit them and be thanked for their hard work in taking care of the eggs.

The virtual board game is a cross between monopoly and a strategy war game in which each party competes against one another to become the richest and strongest warriors, creating their very own empires. Apparently, the game itself has already sparked several strategy guides online! There is also a physical copy available, but it is released as a limited edition.
As the mission to Transylvania was optional and considered overtime, those who partook in the mission will receive a notification that 500,000 KRYPTOS (~3200 USD) has been deposited into their account.

The Halloween festivities run late into the first week of November, but while thatâs all cleared and done away with by the second week, it doesnât mean the holiday season ends there! Now that October's over, itâs all about Pocky Day!
Neo Tokyoâs craze for Pocky Day is only amplified with the new pocky dropping on the day of. While itâs newly released on 11/11, they will be available all throughout the month of November. What someone didnât say, however, is that this pocky was actually undergoing further research but was released far too early. Each stick of pocky has been made with certain biotech causing various types of reactions in people depending on its flavor. While thatâs half the fun, itâs also made a complete mess of the city.
So far, the known issues with each flavor are as listed:
While a lot of these flavors are to be reviewed and confiscated by both the companies and government agencies by the end of the month, they will be found littered throughout the city in the meantime.

STRAWBERRY - Eating this particular flavor will make those who eat it kinder and more agreeable. They will find they will have difficulties saying no, and will do their best to make those around them happy! Wonderful with the holiday season around the corner.
MATCHA - Who knows why, but chomping down on this flavor makes one more likely to speak openly and truthfully about themselves, and also be inquisitive towards others.
BLACK SESAME - Those who consume this flavor become agitated and more prone to lashing out. Also if they have a grudge against someone, they may be more likely to act on these negative emotions.
ROSE - While itâs not Valentineâs day, taking a bite out of this one will certainly make one feel like it is! It increases one's general desire for affection and physical touch.
MELON - This will make one feel like they canât sit still for a second. It will make them feel constantly antsy as if they need to impulsively jump into the next thing. Whatâs the worst that can happen?

Those who have been with LILITH for some time may remember the ocular glitch that happened half a year ago. Thanks to an upgrade gone wrong, that very same glitch is now back.
It happens the first time, and several times throughout the week as your character goes about their routine. The sound of machine-like whirring, deep within their cranium, like a computer thatâs in the midst of processing some new information. Then, thereâs the familiar ping of a new public message, and whatever you were thinking about at that point in time will be plastered on the network for all to read and react to. Thinking about your recent health check results? Having a fun night out at a club? Regretting said night out at the club? Falling into a deep depression about how your life has turned out so far? It doesnât matter when or where, because the system doesnât discriminate. Youâll soon find the thoughts you were having during those moments posted on the network and you canât delete them.
This is a TFLN-inspired mingle thatâs been tweaked to make it completely canon to the game. Due to a glitch in the system, random thoughts that characters might be having throughout the week will be registered as network posts and posted in public for all to see and respond to. This can happen at any time as they wander around the main base or different Neo Tokyo locations!

Any character that lost an appendage during the last event can get a basic prosthetic for free without needing to spend reward points. Any additional upgrades will require points.
As stated in the post, players are welcome to come up with any additional Pocky flavors and side effects they would like. The ones listed above are merely suggestions.

EVENT BREAKDOWN/RECAP (CLICK TO EXPAND)
1. STATE OF THE BASE: Outsiders are back on base after a long and harrowing mission. They are given time off to see to their own needs, which can include: preparing for funerals, getting surgeries for prosthetic limbs, and general R&R. There is also a trial cure being developed to combat the symptoms of vampirism in Outsiders, which all infected Outsiders are required to take. The Imugi eggs are expected to hatch soon and have been moved to a private nursing room so that they won't be disturbed.
2. WINNERS CIRCLE: The heavy hitters/KO winners of the last kaiju fight receive their sponsorships, including kaiju-focused cookbooks, strategy board game sets, and strange little dolls.
3. POCKY DAY: New shipments of Pocky fill the shelves of Neo-Tokyo; however, some of these Pocky shipments have been tampered with, causing anyone who eats them to suffer from a variety of side effects. All affected Pocky will be rounded up by the end of the month and disposed of.
4. TFLN: Outsiders' ocular implants glitch, leading them to send out stray messages and thoughts unprompted.

The blast into the pool gets a little jump out of him, more surprise than fear. But what a surprise it is! Who knew this was a sensitive subject for the big guy? Maybe he's feeling the frustration lately or something . . . Godzilla doesn't seem like the type to make casual use of the Neo-Tokyo nightlife the way Gigan does. Either way, Gigan does follow him, and as the immediate surprise of that outburst fades away, it's replaced by a well of fascinated, amused fondness. Godzilla is so pissy about this, and it's charming as hell.
Gigan assumes the Titan who has "fallen prey to this" is referring to himself, especially when Godzilla follows up the comment by asking him about his storied dating game history, so he thinks nothing of it. He just settles himself down near the weight bench to watch. His tail twitches behind him, back and forth, with a kind of joyful energy.]
Oh, yeah, they're all about it. That's what humans are best at! It makes sense once you spend some time around 'em . . . especially if you try going around in a human body too. It's a big difference in what a body like that's good at compared to guys like us.
[Not that a kaiju body stands in Gigan's way, per se. Not even one as modified as his is. But there's simply no comparison in the relative ease of most intimate actions, in the same way there's no comparison in the relative advantage Gigan has over a human in slicing someone in half.]
Hey, how many humans are there on your Earth? Last time I visited Earth, it was four billion! They're not made to stay alive for thousands or millions of years like us . . . they're made to have babies that have babies that have babies that stay alive instead. So it's their skill, the same way we've got our skills.

Godzilla is entirely unaware of that of course. The big guy is focusing on getting his reps in while Gigan talks. It's not nearly as much effort to do as he'd like, Goji makes bench pressing look easy. ]
Indeed. I can not argue against the differences, it in part led to my decision to undergo the shape-change surgery. If I am required to take human form I would do so under the function of my own being rather than a simple disguise.
[ It fucks with his balance sure, but there's less chance of it failing and besides that it's nice to be able to feel with proper human skin sometimes?! And... maybe other people would like to...
But oh there's that other thing. One of those things that have been bothering him for some time now! He slows down in his lifting, pausing with the bar up as he glances over at his friend. ]
I... am unsure. Many. Too many to count. Legions of tiny, scurrying things... even when I lived amongst them I gave little thought to their kind as individuals. Such short, insignificant lives, the children of their children looked so very much like the first to build my temples. This did not matter, as long as the whole thrived all was well.
[ A pause, an uneasy grumble and snap of his tail. ]
More weight.
[ He pauses long enough for Gigan to comply with the direction before he starts lifting again, renewed frustration boiling in his blood that he's desperate to burn off. ]
Now we live amongst them at their scale. We speak with them, we make bonds with them. They become important, irreplaceable, yet their lives remain short. Befriending them alone seems almost foolish in this, to... court with them, to seek mates, that...
[ Another pause as he trails off staring up at the ceiling. Two beats later his tail thumps the ground in anger and he lets out a snarl. ]
More. Weight.

That's a passing concern compared to the rest, which is all—relatable. Sometimes it catches Gigan entirely off guard when someone like Godzilla can say something complex and nuanced to him and, rather than fumbling to keep up, he understands immediately. These are things they have to think about. And they aren't the only ones. For as much as he can instantly comprehend Godzilla's feelings, it's the other side of this argument that Gigan has clung to another time in his past. Back then, to him—those feelings haven't changed at all.]
Yeah, yeah, gimme a sec.
[More weight! At the demand, Gigan begins a clumsy attempt to climb up onto the bar himself. You want more weight, bro? Here's your more weight! (At this size, Gigan weighs around 2,000 pounds.)
But while he's working on that, he continues:]
. . . I know they don't live that long, but that doesn't matter. It's fine if you only get a week with someone, or even an hour. That's still an hour! Our lives are made of hours too. If you decide not to do something because it'll only last an hour, then you'll decide not to do it because it'll only last a week, or a year, or a hundred years. Then there's nothing left to do. If you only want things that last forever, you won't end up having anything at all.

Adjusting to the new weight gives him time to chew over Gigan's words. Years may as well be weeks to Godzilla, months as hours, days as eye blinks. It goes by so quickly in the grand scale of things, it'll keep going by, leaving him behind as others eventually find their end and go to the world after. Like every Kin and Friend he's had before...
But Gigan's right. Just because the time is short doesn't mean it's not worth having. The people who've become close to Godzilla's heart are people he wouldn't trade knowing for anything. They have brought forth life in him he thought long lost with his days as a fledgling. They make him laugh, they teach him, they learn from him in turn, they have made this place his home. More home than he has had in... far, far too long. ]
There is... wisdom in what you say. [ He racks up the weights, and Gigan, with a grumble. He doesn't move to sit up though, just lays there on the bench glaring up at the ceiling while his tail twitches. ] Yet there remains other vexations. They do not understand the proper way of things. When there is disagreement they react poor to challenge, one can only guess it would be far poorer received in matters of... closer relation.
[ An annoyed huff and a thump of his tail. ]
Vexing... Mothra is my mate in my world of origin, this should be enough. Yet I am not that Godzilla, I am not bound to Mothra as he, I am "ready to partake of the mingle" as they say. Yet my thoughts remain troubled. It seems ill to consider other Outsiders as... courtable.

[That feels like it's phrased wrong, but whatever, close enough. Godzilla started it, he'll know what it means. It's taking enough of his focus to remain balanced on the weights; Gigan's body was designed for many useful things, but this is not one of those things. He has no fingers or toes to help cling on and stabilize himself with, so his tail and beak have to do a lot of awkward work in hanging on and keeping balance in the air.
It's fun, though, and that's what really matters. In exercise as in romance.]
You're worried about drama, is that it? Just try not to have any messy breakups on the battlefield over the "proper" way of things!

[ Oh he just growled. A snort follows after as he goes and picks the Gigan-Assited Weight System back up and proceeds to stand right up while lifting it. His tail really comes in handy for helping him get off that bench without dropping Gigan. Once lifted he carefully lowers the apparatus to the ground so Gigan can get himself off the weights without too much trouble. ]
An additional factor against such thoughts. The bonds held are of too great a value to risk upon such fledgling minded things as longing or attraction. This aside, when another is already courting.... bah!
[ And Godzilla's on the move again. His tail twitches in agitation and his spines are pulsing, a frustrated threat display with no real target. He takes up a position in front of a heavy punching bag and proceeds to make use of it. Kind of surreal to see Godzilla with his fists up in a boxing posture and throwing regimented jabs, but the big guy's picked up a lot in his time amongst the Outsiders.
Which is what makes what he's grappling with all the more frustrating. He can talk like the others, walk with them, observe their customs and their celebrations and partake in them as well, yet there is still so much that just doesn't make sense. Instinct demands he do things a certain way, this damnable logic and reason he's been learning say that these are bad ideas. ]
One does not challenge another to prove their worth, that is not how the humans and those used to their cultures do things. Yet my blood roars, urges me to do battle, to crush that which stands in the way!
[ He gives the bag a good solid hit that sees it swinging back a good few feet on its chain. When it come swinging back towards Godzilla from momentum he catches it, arresting its path so it doesn't cause damage. After a beat he lets go with a sigh, huffing out smoke, and begins the calmer series of punches again. ]
However, my mind and heart both know this to be poor of an idea. It would further incense the Outsiders against me for one, though I hold little care for this. The most import is it would... surely cause her to despise me like the others, it would break trust.
[ He pauses in his bag work to look up at the ceiling, his tail still twitching. Did he just let something slip...? Bah, vexing. ]
This is what makes courtship such an ill thing. Such want is a selfish thing, one I can neither rid myself in nor indulge. The closeness of those I hold dear that we share as of now and their happiness are not a thing to put to risk for the sake of these feelings.
