▶ 001. GET ALONG PROMPT

LILITH is highly invested in the physical and mental well-being of its employees. A happy and connected workforce is a strong workforce, after all. However, SYNTHIA has picked up on many instances of discontent between Outsiders - people being blocked by each other on LINE, or teetering on the edge of having a fight (you know who you are and so does SYNTHIA, surprise!) That just won't do. Outsiders who cannot get along will fail miserably when it's time for teamwork. That is why this month's team-building exercise aims to spread positivity amongst the Outsiders. We all gotta get along in the middle of a crisis.

Whether you are looking someone in the face, texting them, or staring at their profile on the network, you receive a prompt from SYNTHIA, followed by an image (exactly as pictured, Shutterstock watermark and all):

"LILITH promotes a positive working environment. Why don't you pay this Outsider a compliment or do something nice for them? Or else :) Noncompliance will result in disciplinary action."

True enough, ignoring the prompt a total of 5 times will result in characters being transported to their rooms and put under house arrest - ahem, time out for a total of 2 days. It doesn't hurt to play along, right? As a note, the prompts become especially persistent when you're faced with someone you dislike. Should Outsiders try to leave their room during this time, they will find the automatic doors do not open the typical way (retina scan and thumb print.) They are trapped! Perhaps asking SYNTHIA for some mercy with positive compliments directed her way will do the trick (it won't, bu you can try!) Remember, Outsiders can speak to SYNTHIA anytime. She's everywhere all the time. Consider her your prettier Alexa. In fact, she might be flattered by that compliment.

▶ 002. TEAM ACTIVITIES.

You've had your fun back at the MAIN BASE. Now it's time to work. Outsiders will be sent back out towards Tokyo Bay while LILITH's research crew continues to try and detect the source of the strong waves. The city is in disarray after the tsunami, with the less secured buildings torn down and many lives lost. Morale within Neo Tokyo is at an all time low even with civilians comforting one another. Each Outsider will receive a small mission brief marked in the colours of their respective team as they are once again flown via helicopter to the designated area.

REDEMPTION:
Outsiders within REDEMPTION are tasked to spread joy in the streets and at the hospital. Be creative in how you wish to do this, whether it's putting on a performance, a skit, or spreading kindness with gifts and sweet gestures. Those with a Style Upgrade are encouraged to use their chip to don funny and eye catching costumes to entertain the civilians. Those with a healing upgrade are highly encouraged to help medical staff.

REVELATION:
Outsiders within REVELATION are tasked with babysitting duties. Many parents are still recovering in the hospital and there's no one to watch their children while they recover. A lot of pets need looking after too! Make sure the children and furbabies are fed, clothed and getting enough sleep. This can even include filling in for classrooms that have recently lost their teacher. Outsiders in REVELATION are encouraged to keep a tally of the census and go looking for lost children if someone seems to be missing.

EVERLIGHT:
Outsiders within EVERLIGHT will be tasked with keeping the people fed and the local businesses running. This can mean organising a soup kitchen, preparing homecooked meals for the civilians and delivering hot meals door to door. It can also mean helping local businesses with repairs to their shops, bringing them supplies and filling in for the staff they might have lost. The city might have just been hit with a tsunami, but that doesn't mean it needs to shut down!

BRIMSTONE:
Outsiders within BRIMSTONE are the luckiest of the lot - they get to be clean up crew. They will be mandated to wear hazmat suits in outrageous colours along with breathing gear. Why? Because they will be scrubbing the whole place of rubble, dirt, debris and corpses. Yes, corpses. Outsiders within BRIMSTONE will be given a census and tasked with identifying any dead body they find. They will then need to transport the corpse to the nearest LILITH disposal truck on a stretcher, where LILITH will cremate it properly. Note that they will be some survivors in the mix, so be prepared to administer first aid and conduct rescue operations accordingly.

Within certain parts of the city (the sewers, in particular, which have flooded with water), the natural flora seems to have been poisoned by a mysterious element. Toxic, monstrous plants are coming alive and attacking anything they see! They bind and strangle Outsiders with their vines and sting them with their nettles. These plants need to be dealt with before they overgrow. Fire & ice works well on them.

"Good afternoon, Angels of LILITH. Please pay close attention to the brief sent to you. We have specific duties for each team. Once you have done enough work, you will be prompted to help another team with their tasks if you desire. Our research crew is searching for the source of the kaiju and we have received information it is in the ocean. Please be ready in case it makes an appearance again before we can find it. You will be staying in Moonlight Inn & 11 Hours hostel once again as we should remain close by. Thank you for the cooperation."

Outsiders will need to finish their team missions. However, if they have time afterward and want to do some overtime, they are more than welcome to help the other teams on their missions.

▶ 003. IT ISN'T OVER YET.

Those who remember the mission brief two weeks ago will know that the first shockwaves are usually the sign of an impending kaiju. LILITH is conducting their own investigations, but with a fresh and energetic workforce it only makes sense to ultilize it. All Outsiders will be given orders to collect samples and bring it back for ongoing testing. By samples, they mean contaminated fish or ocean life remains, or samples of the toxic plants appearing in the sewers.

For Outsiders braving the sewers, they will need to don the silly hazmat suits issued to BRIMSTONE for their own protection and fight off the monstrous plants to clip some samples. It's encouraged to get leaves, stems, seeds, flowers or the whole plant if you can manage it. (Note that collecting the whole plant in a sample container will result in said plant hissing and striking you through the glass.)

For Outsiders who feel like taking a swim, they will be given diving suits and ordered to take a dive in Tokyo Bay. Once in the waters, they are to hunt down and capture any contaminated fish or marine life they can find. This means tuna fish with three eyes or octopi with two heads and 16 legs. It's encouraged to capture them live, but LILITH will also accept remains or waste samples. (Note that the available oxygen in the tank is limited and attempting to swim too far from Neo Tokyo will likely result in an Outsider drowning. )

▶ 004. AFTERWORD.

Welcome to our first CR Building event! All prompts are highly encouraged but OOCly optional. Characters are encouraged to participate in their team-specific missions but can help out the other teams if they have time. Feel free to ask any event-related questions below!

[blindspotting]

[ As if summoned by the very concept of someone on the verge of making a bad decision, Shion appears a moment later, his own helmet held loosely in the curve of his free arm, sword gripped firmly in the other. The look he bestows on Yuji is only mildly stern, at least, before his attention shifts back to the sewer entrance. ]

I don't think any of us should be going there alone.

[ Which is why he's here, awkward discomfort with the suit they've been given aside. It's doing no real favors for someone used to fluid movements, but he'll work something out. It's more important to have someone on hand who doesn't need light to see, anyway. ]

Are you ready?

[eyescar]

[ Yuji makes the sound of a little awkward laugh, scratching the back of his head awkwardly before he nods. Sure, he might have been willing to go down alone, but it's probably a better idea to at least have someone work beside him. This way, he can't get into too much trouble, can he? ]

No, maybe not.

[ He finishes pulling his suit on properly, stretching his arms up above his head to test out his range of movement before he beams. ]

Oh, should I have brought my club? I didn't think about that...

[blindspotting]

I doubt we're moving to have too much in the way of space.

[ Not that Shion has much experience in the way of sewers, but if it's anything like a cave system he's going to have to assume close quarters. Not the best of spaces for a sword either, but he's absolutely not going to go in without one.

But since Yuji is ready, he takes a breath and settles his own helmet into place. And makes a mostly-unseen face as his hearing immediately dampens, but no matter. Just means he'll have to pay more attention to his other senses. ]

Stay close, please.

[ And then he's striding purposefully into the entrance, assuming Yuji will follow. ]

[eyescar]

Yeah, I guess so. Swinging it around would probably make things worse for us.

[ Yuji hasn't necessarily been in the sewers properly - he's wandered through them, but he hasn't fought in them or tried to deal with anything inside them. He's willing to follow Shion's example now, especially if the man is willing to guide them in some way.

Stay close, though... Yuji doesn't roll his eyes, but he does fight his grin, hopping down after his partner. ]

I'll do my best, okay? Don't worry too much about me.

[blindspotting]

[ He hums a faintly unimpressed opinion of that particular statement, but lets it lie as the walls of the sewer close in around them. Shion's hand tightens slightly around the sheath of his sword as he does his best to stretch all of his senses as far as they can possibly go. There's definite movement somewhere ahead of them, but too far yet for him to pick out clearly.

Plants, they'd said. Something that ticks Shion's heartrate up a bit louder in his own ears, though he stays outwardly calm. It won't be like before, and even if it is he knows how to deal with that now. The close quarters would make it difficult, but it's nothing he can't manage. And he has help.

Though the thoughtdoes occur to him to twist slightly in Yuji's direction. ]

How well can you see, here?

[ As if he was ever not going to worry. But beyond that, it's good to know just how much directing he'll need to do for both of them. He does trust Yuji in a fight, if not with knowing his exact limits. ]

They've said these things have long vines.

[eyescar]

[ It seems as though no matter how much he tells people not to worry about him, they go out of their way to do it. Yuji really does think he can handle it on his own if he needs to, but he is starting to think about sharing the load with the people he cares about - with the people that he trusts. Nanami, Kugisaki, Fushiguro... They're the kind of people that can share his burdens with him, and he has to learn to accept that.

He's never fought plants before, though, so he's not sure if he can really pass off some of the fighting. He's also never seen Shion fight before - he trusts him to be skilled, since he has sword training, but in such close quarters... Maybe he'll need to let Shion take the lead, and he can do the gathering of the cuttings?

Lifting his head, he looks around. ]

It's not too bad. It could be better, but we're underground, aren't we?

[ He's not like Gojo, who can see no matter what, and he hasn't really learned how to rely on his other senses in the same exact way. He's quick, sharp, has good reflexes, but, hey. He's trying. ]

I can kind of sense things, though, so I can rely on that.

[blindspotting]

[ Not entirely dark, then. Better than he'd feared, but still something he'll have to keep in mind as they continue moving. Until the addition, at least, which prompts a curious eyebrow left. ]

Sense things how?

[ Something to do with his energy, perhaps? Or something else? Either way, between the two of them it's bound to give them quite the edge, and Shion certainly isn't going to discount that.

And he does recognize something whipping out of the tunnel's expanse seconds before it reaches them, enough for Shion's sword to unsheath and pin the vine directly into the wall before it's even had time to finish the swipe. He might have stabbed it with just a bit too much enthusiasm, but the results can't be faulted. ]

Don't touch it. [ The order is brusque and almost distant sounding before he remembers that they're both covered. It's probably fine. ] Ah. Forgive me.

[eyescar]

Curses, the kind of thing I fight at home. I don't think it'll carry over much here, though.

[ He's got good instincts, though; he knows how to fight, how to push, has excellent reflexes, is dedicated... All the kind of thing that would make him an adept and useful in a situation like this. He can be determined and dogged, and maybe that could be a problem in the end, but...

Watching Shion move, though, makes his eyes widen in surprise, and he peers around with a short huff of laugh. ]

That was impressive! You're definitely the right guy to teach me some things.

[ Leaning forward, he peers at the vine, tilting his head. ]

Poison can't hurt me, so don't worry. Can we use this one?

[ Poison, right. For a moment, he can almost feel the vines growing under his skin, but Shion shakes it off quickly in favor of pulling his sword free from the wall and stepping back. Not a concern here, and not something he can afford to lose himself to. ]

I. Yes, that might be a good idea.

[ He resettles his grip on his sword and goes back to focusing on their surroundings, waiting for anything else to spring out from down the tunnel. This might be affecting him more than he'd anticipated, but it's much too late to do anything about that now other than press through.

Shion takes several deep breaths as he waits for Yuji to collect the vine piece, then starts them forward again. Which is about when something he'd said finally registers. ]

Poison can't hurt you?

[eyescar]

[ Yuji moves forward, as if to lean forward and check Shion out. He doesn't want to do anything to make the other guy uncomfortable, but he is a little bit worried about all the strange plants down here and what kind of impact they could have on other people. He feels safe, but... ]

Great!

[ He watches, careful, before he leans in to get the piece of the vine and collect it all together. Yuji's lack of concern might be warning signs to other people, but this is all normal to him; he doesn't second guess himself for even a moment. ]

Yeah. It's part of being Sukuna's vessel. He's immune to poison, so I'm immune to poison.

[ Then, quietly - ]

Are you okay?

[blindspotting]

[ The way Yuji says it makes it seem like something Shion should find familiar, but he's gotten resignedly used to feeling utterly lost on most things people mention to him. Something to follow up on later, perhaps. For now, he'll take Yuji at his word and fold it in to his strategies going forward.

[ And he's definitely not going to wallow any further if Yuji is already picking up on it. The boy already seems to have a problem worrying about himself, Shion's not going to make him focus on his own inadequacies at the moment. ]

Yes. [ It's almost not a lie. He's going to make himself be okay. ] Shall we keep moving? I'm sure there are more of them up ahead.

[eyescar]

[ Yuji keeps telling people things and shrugging them off, but he's starting to get the impression that maybe he should be a little less casual about it all. What is normal for him is obviously not normal for other people, and usually that's fine...

Maybe not here. He'll have to watch his tongue. ]

Yeah, we can keep going, I'm good. Let's go.

[ 100% trust in Shion. ]
