CONTENT WARNINGS: forced scenarios, violence & action scenarios, thalassophobia, mass death & injury from natural disaster.

▶ 001. GET ALONG PROMPT

LILITH is highly invested in the physical and mental well-being of its employees. A happy and connected workforce is a strong workforce, after all. However, SYNTHIA has picked up on many instances of discontent between Outsiders - people being blocked by each other on LINE, or teetering on the edge of having a fight (you know who you are and so does SYNTHIA, surprise!) That just won't do. Outsiders who cannot get along will fail miserably when it's time for teamwork. That is why this month's team-building exercise aims to spread positivity amongst the Outsiders. We all gotta get along in the middle of a crisis.

Whether you are looking someone in the face, texting them, or staring at their profile on the network, you receive a prompt from SYNTHIA, followed by an image (exactly as pictured, Shutterstock watermark and all):

"LILITH promotes a positive working environment. Why don't you pay this Outsider a compliment or do something nice for them? Or else :) Noncompliance will result in disciplinary action."

True enough, ignoring the prompt a total of 5 times will result in characters being transported to their rooms and put under house arrest - ahem, time out for a total of 2 days. It doesn't hurt to play along, right? As a note, the prompts become especially persistent when you're faced with someone you dislike. Should Outsiders try to leave their room during this time, they will find the automatic doors do not open the typical way (retina scan and thumb print.) They are trapped! Perhaps asking SYNTHIA for some mercy with positive compliments directed her way will do the trick (it won't, bu you can try!) Remember, Outsiders can speak to SYNTHIA anytime. She's everywhere all the time. Consider her your prettier Alexa. In fact, she might be flattered by that compliment.

▶ 002. TEAM ACTIVITIES.

You've had your fun back at the MAIN BASE. Now it's time to work. Outsiders will be sent back out towards Tokyo Bay while LILITH's research crew continues to try and detect the source of the strong waves. The city is in disarray after the tsunami, with the less secured buildings torn down and many lives lost. Morale within Neo Tokyo is at an all time low even with civilians comforting one another. Each Outsider will receive a small mission brief marked in the colours of their respective team as they are once again flown via helicopter to the designated area.

REDEMPTION:
Outsiders within REDEMPTION are tasked to spread joy in the streets and at the hospital. Be creative in how you wish to do this, whether it's putting on a performance, a skit, or spreading kindness with gifts and sweet gestures. Those with a Style Upgrade are encouraged to use their chip to don funny and eye catching costumes to entertain the civilians. Those with a healing upgrade are highly encouraged to help medical staff.

REVELATION:
Outsiders within REVELATION are tasked with babysitting duties. Many parents are still recovering in the hospital and there's no one to watch their children while they recover. A lot of pets need looking after too! Make sure the children and furbabies are fed, clothed and getting enough sleep. This can even include filling in for classrooms that have recently lost their teacher. Outsiders in REVELATION are encouraged to keep a tally of the census and go looking for lost children if someone seems to be missing.

EVERLIGHT:
Outsiders within EVERLIGHT will be tasked with keeping the people fed and the local businesses running. This can mean organising a soup kitchen, preparing homecooked meals for the civilians and delivering hot meals door to door. It can also mean helping local businesses with repairs to their shops, bringing them supplies and filling in for the staff they might have lost. The city might have just been hit with a tsunami, but that doesn't mean it needs to shut down!

BRIMSTONE:
Outsiders within BRIMSTONE are the luckiest of the lot - they get to be clean up crew. They will be mandated to wear hazmat suits in outrageous colours along with breathing gear. Why? Because they will be scrubbing the whole place of rubble, dirt, debris and corpses. Yes, corpses. Outsiders within BRIMSTONE will be given a census and tasked with identifying any dead body they find. They will then need to transport the corpse to the nearest LILITH disposal truck on a stretcher, where LILITH will cremate it properly. Note that they will be some survivors in the mix, so be prepared to administer first aid and conduct rescue operations accordingly.

Within certain parts of the city (the sewers, in particular, which have flooded with water), the natural flora seems to have been poisoned by a mysterious element. Toxic, monstrous plants are coming alive and attacking anything they see! They bind and strangle Outsiders with their vines and sting them with their nettles. These plants need to be dealt with before they overgrow. Fire & ice works well on them.

"Good afternoon, Angels of LILITH. Please pay close attention to the brief sent to you. We have specific duties for each team. Once you have done enough work, you will be prompted to help another team with their tasks if you desire. Our research crew is searching for the source of the kaiju and we have received information it is in the ocean. Please be ready in case it makes an appearance again before we can find it. You will be staying in Moonlight Inn & 11 Hours hostel once again as we should remain close by. Thank you for the cooperation."

Outsiders will need to finish their team missions. However, if they have time afterward and want to do some overtime, they are more than welcome to help the other teams on their missions.

▶ 003. IT ISN'T OVER YET.

Those who remember the mission brief two weeks ago will know that the first shockwaves are usually the sign of an impending kaiju. LILITH is conducting their own investigations, but with a fresh and energetic workforce it only makes sense to ultilize it. All Outsiders will be given orders to collect samples and bring it back for ongoing testing. By samples, they mean contaminated fish or ocean life remains, or samples of the toxic plants appearing in the sewers.

For Outsiders braving the sewers, they will need to don the silly hazmat suits issued to BRIMSTONE for their own protection and fight off the monstrous plants to clip some samples. It's encouraged to get leaves, stems, seeds, flowers or the whole plant if you can manage it. (Note that collecting the whole plant in a sample container will result in said plant hissing and striking you through the glass.)

For Outsiders who feel like taking a swim, they will be given diving suits and ordered to take a dive in Tokyo Bay. Once in the waters, they are to hunt down and capture any contaminated fish or marine life they can find. This means tuna fish with three eyes or octopi with two heads and 16 legs. It's encouraged to capture them live, but LILITH will also accept remains or waste samples. (Note that the available oxygen in the tank is limited and attempting to swim too far from Neo Tokyo will likely result in an Outsider drowning. )

▶ 004. AFTERWORD.

Welcome to our first CR Building event! All prompts are highly encouraged but OOCly optional. Characters are encouraged to participate in their team-specific missions but can help out the other teams if they have time. Feel free to ask any event-related questions below!

[Makes him wonder if there's been any emotion in the guy's life, outside of serious focus and maybe scant mild amusement. Tsk, reminds him of Todoroki when the guy was still all iced up.

Raidou's not the only one who gets weirded out over the popups and displays in their vision and thoughts. Bakugo hates the invasiveness of the chip and implant, even outweighing the convenience of not needing a phone or comm device. But unless he wants to dig it out of his head and arm...]

If you two figure something out to regain those skills, let me know.

[Both for completion sake and because he wants to challenge them to a proper fight. He looks at his hand, wondering what it would be like to have ended up here without his Quirk. It'd feel fucking weir-]

Haa?! What the hell kind of question is that?!

[Thanks for smacking it on the nose, Raidou.]

[Bakugo will hear him shift in the water, as he brings his knees up again, folding his arms over them for a place to rest his chin. Those cold eyes peering at the back of the other boy curiously.]

A simple one. I never saw anyone react so violently to something that was supposed to be a compliment.

[Sure, people reject compliments all the time, but not usually in such a manner. He really feels like he doesn't understand Bakugo in the slightest.]

[Bastard. Does he know how hard his eyes are boring into the back of his head? Feels like a damn auger. Grumping at the question, Bakugo throws an elbow over the rim of the tub, letting his hand dangle against the side next to his ribs.]

Shut up. That wasn't violent.

[The answer's simple. Bakugo's a "tough guy" who doesn't "need" something like compliments. It's no different than asking why Raidou wasn't sarcastic earlier. Personality, instinctive image, trained response, any one of those answers.]

There's another guy who uses summons to fight, but his actually came through with him.

[YEETING THAT TOPIC!!]

[Bakugo seemed ready to fistfight over it when he initially said it, in Raidou's opinion. But his only response is an amused hum. No need to push the subject or it'll just happen again.]

Mm. I think I know who you mean. I believe his are shikigami, though. A little different, but still magic.

[He'd seen Fushiguro using one during the first sim, and admittedly, was a little jealous. Raidou assumes he must be an onmyouji of some sort.]

Shikigami are conjured creations. Demons are their own beings, with their own wills.

[Despite his aggression and threats, Bakugo doesn't usually beat the hell out of people or blow them up for pissing him off. Key word there is "usually". So long as people think he will and back off, that's purpose well served.]

Shikigami? [And here there's a quirked brow before Bakugo looks over his shoulder at Raidou.] Not the ones I saw. They were more humanoid monsters.

[Nope! Bakugo hasn't seen Fushiguro's shikigami yet; he's referencing Ren Amamiya's personas. There's a subtle incline of his head towards Raidou when he mentions demons, as if indicating that's more what he experienced.

So then there are... four summoners that he knows of? Three and this currently unknown one.]

Hmm. [He's definitely intrigued. He's probably the only summoner from his world here, but it was interesting to find there were other kinds. If he ever sees Ren's in action, he's in for a huge surprise.]

Ah... I guess this is proof that I really should be talking with the other Outsiders more.

[Unsurprisingly, he's not been very good at that. When he's on base, he's doing things alone. Exercise, sword forms, cleaning, sometimes homework. This is the most talking to one person he's done in ages. Since Seimei, anyway. A depressing thought to him.]

I'll seek them out. Thank you for the information.

[Bakugo turns back around to focus on nothing again, thinking about the others brought here. Why is it that some people came with their abilities and powers only dampered, some completely lost, some barely affected at all, and that's to say nothing o Outsiders who arrived without their usual battling equipment. Gaps in the system (however they brought them here) or some decision on the experimenter's part?]

Here. Start networking. [And there's another awkward head link. But at least it'll give Raidou something to look into.] If you guys can figure out why your summons are blocked, we can try to break that stopgap and get them back.

[Already making plans even if there's little concrete direction to go on. Bakugo has little trust in LILITH as a whole, so powering up his teammates and other Outsiders is only going to help him (and themselves) in the end.]

...Oh. Amamiya?

[They've met. Was he a summoner? He knows he mentioned demons to him, but it didn't seem to spark anything in Amamiya when he brought it up.]

I'll reach out to him then. Ah, for me, I wouldn't say it was blocked. I am certain I still have my ability to call them forth if they had come with me. They're just not physically here.

[The way he uses them, it's more like Manjoume than Amamiya, where they have a physical storage.]

If LILITH can bring us here, and others things... maybe someday they can retrieve them for us as well.

[He misses his demons. He's more used to interacting with them than people. Demons tend to be much more straightforward.]

Uh-huh.

[Or as Bakugo calls him, "Mask", and refuses to stop. Whether he's telling Raidou about things Amamiya hasn't isn't an issue. They're all likely running across each other in conversations, and knowing what your potential allies can do if you're thrown together for a mission is a benefit to all of them.

It's not surprising if Amamiya said nothing; he seems like a closed-off guy when it comes to certain topics.]

Other people's summons came with them, or they can reach them from here. Yours and Sawblade Hair's shouldn't be any different.

[If LILITH brought over some Outsiders' summons and not others, then they're fucking idiots for weakening their own mercenaries, whether intentional or not. Bakugo's irritated when allies he's supposed to work with are hampered from operating at their fullest. That's like being given broken tools and told to get the project done. What the hell?]

They better.

[If it sounds threatening, it is. His allies should be as strong as possible for the best victory.]

[ooc: by the bysies, i asked about this over on the rewards page. so we'll see what happens. hopefully it's an okayed thing and we can get some of these stunted summoners back on track.]

[Seems like everyone gets a weird nickname. Good to know he could have had something worse than "Shashou".]

They did bring my sword here. That's not nothing. It's very important to me.

[It's a powerful heirloom sword of his clan, perfect for exorcising demons. Too bad what they have to face is kaiju. Still, a good sword is a good sword.

The water cooling again, this time Raidou reaches over to grab his towel, and stands up to get out. He knows that he keeps saying this, and Bakugo doesn't seem to care, but he'll say it again anyway. He's polite, damnit.]

Thank you. I... [He looks away as he heads over to get his clothes.] I do feel better.

[OOC: Fingers crossed! I think the mods mentioned something about possible future regains. Raidou would be overjoyed to get any demon back...]

[That's how it works. He doesn't respect anyone (scant exceptions) enough to use their real name off the bat. And yeah, there are worse names... Like "Auger Sideburns".]

So you used your sword in tandem with your summnons?

[A summoner who did nothing but stand back and watch his summons do the work would usually get Bakugo's sneer. But if Raidou battled alongside the beings he utilized, that's pretty cool.

He doesn't make to reheat the water, just pushes himself to his feet once Raidou gets up and grabs his towel. Don't forget the pull the plug while you're at it, Raidou; Bakugo's not doing it for you.]

Hn. Good. [He'd be pissed if all that talk and hot water didn't help.]

[ooc: yeah that's the hope. they mentioned regains, yes, so i would suspect there's room for that. it'd be strange to limit certain characters from having their summons, but let others retain theirs without some explicit reason.]

Yes. It's a cleansing blade, made for exorcising demons. The Kuzunoha clan has its own special techniques for doing so.

[He reemerges dressed, popping his hat back on, humming in thought.

Last time they did they, Raidou said he owed Bakugo, and yet here they are again. What does he have to offer anyone? Well, there is one thing.]

... Do you drink coffee?

You exorcise them, but you also use them?

[What was this, some kind of demon removing-then-collecting trade going on? Bakugo ends up pulling the plug to let the bath drain, rubbing the back of his head with his dry hand as he steps away from the tub.

It's not like he's doing this in order to be owed something.]

Rarely.

[It's too bitter, and sweetening it up just means you should've gone with cocoa or a milkshake.]

How good are you at teaching kendo?

Mm. Shame. [He'll take any excuse to make coffee in his new French press for whoever wants it.

There's an interesting question, though. He thinks about it for a moment.]

I've done some teaching. Not a lot. Mostly with the boys at school. Are you interested in learning?

[Bakugo's too young, fit, and disciplined to need coffee like a lot of adults seem to need it. His mom's okay, but his dad can look like a wreck without it, much to Bakugo's annoyance. Fuck relying on a drink that much to get your day going!

Once Raidou's dressed, they can either head back out into the cold halls... or sit here in the fading steam and sap up the heat for all it's worth.]

Aa. I took kendo for a week in middle school, but it was only introductory.

[That gets a slight grin from him.]

So you know how to hold a sword. [And that's about it with that sort of training.]

Shion teaches. Even his cover job here is kendo teacher.

[He shrugs a little.]

But I'm willing to try, too.

YOU LOOKING DOWN ON ME, SHASHOU?! I KNOW MORE THAN THAT!!

[And he'll prove it if this bastard thinks he's just got basics on his belt!

Shion... Oh right, the blind guy.]

If you suck, I might consider him.

[The more time they spend together, the less those outbursts effect him. He simply raises an eyebrow, placid as ever.]

I'll be the judge of that. [Simple. Matter of fact.] Or you can ask Shion. Either way, I am in the training room every day after school, or I'm done at the shrine. Find me there and we can start.

[Welcome to Class 1-A, Raidou. It's an acquired trait they all go through. Bakugo Buffer. This guy reminds him even moreso of Todoroki because of it.]

Is that so? [Definitely a challenging tone there.] You heard me.

[He'll ask Shion for additional training if he wants. Provided Raidou doesn't fail at being a teacher.]

I'll meet you in the training room.

[Kendo at the shrine would get them yelled at by the shrine master, he feels...]
